Lyttos Mare

Just absolutely regular resort, nothing special at all. The food is flat and the drinks are very poor. Even if you go to (only one) all-inclusive al a carte restaurant you will get same food as in buffet and some special meals for money. Small crowded pool and no service on the beach. In general, it's rate 3 out of 5, but it's still completely overpriced.

What a fantastic resort, 2nd time we have been here and we weren’t disappointed on our return visit. Great quality accommodation, food and service couldn’t ask for more. When we arrived we were greeted by Stella at reception, who couldn’t do more to get us checked in and start to relax from the travels. We went to the room and then to the bar where we were greeted by Alexandria and Valisilus who both remembered us from last year and gave us a great welcome, it was so nice to be back.

This is a truly lovely hotel. The hotel has been really well designed and you always feel that there is plenty of space to relax. The food in all the restaurants was top class but especially enjoyed lunches in the Greek taverna and dinner in the Argentine steakhouse. There are plenty of pools and a lot of the time you can have a pool to yourself. The beach is good and well served by the hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel.

My new favorite hotel in Greece. So fancy and clean. Very friendy staff and good food.Rooms are very nice and modern. Beach is clean. So many restaurants and bars. Every night there is some program and music. We will be back soon because you will miss this awesome hotel ❤️

We are a family of 5 with kids from 9 to 15 years old. We stayed for 2 weeks at the end of August 2024. I really can’t find any faults with this hotel. The staff were professional and helpful. The facilities were clean and still felt very new. The food was delicious - especially the Asian buffet!!!! We had an incredible holiday. Something I noticed was how relaxed we felt. There are some rules and regulations, as you’d expect, but the staff never make you feel like you’re being monitored. Other hotels fail to strike the balance between maintaining order and allowing visitors freedom of the hotel. Lyttos Mare perfected that balance. Special thanks to Ben in the animation team for being so encouraging to my children when they attempted to join in the activities. Also to Dani and Daniel (also in the animation team) for the incredible enthusiasm and energy they brought to the entertainment and activities. Some tips if you’re planning to visit: Book the Argentinian Restaurant via reception as the app often shows it as full. Explore the Beach hotel as there are facilities there which you may miss - eg indoor pool and Olympic swimming pool. There is a doctor present most days - the medical room is by the indoor pool. She was fantastic with an ear problem we suffered.

Everything was perfect. I want to thank specifically restaurant manager Giorgos who made our stay as pleasant as possible. He helped us to organize birthdays of my friends and went over and beyond to make our stay great. The food is delicious and rooms are cozy.

These are 2 hotels in 1 with beach in front and all you can eat options along with 4 restaurants that you can book , asian , steak. couple or family vacation .service food, everything was excellent. It is also near the town and heraklion airport is 20 minutes away .

We stayed at Lyttos Mare for two weeks in August. Beautiful hotel, with friendly staff all round. Our room was lovely we stayed in a family room with an indervidual pool which was great, we loved having our own little terrace. Lucia was great and cleaned our room daily. There are 5 restaurants and we were impressed with the variety of food available at each, all dietry requirement were clearly labled and staff were helpful. We loved the Greek Taverna. We also ate at the Argintinian steak house twice, the food was beautiful. We loved the rainbow bar, and went every night after dinner. I can't remember the name of the bar tender but he was great and made excellent cocktails. Our children loved tutti fruittis, and we loved drinking cocktails while watching the sunset and Olympics! The pool bar had really quick service and the staff got to know our regular orders, iced coffee, beer and yellow slushy. Everyone was really friendly, we couldn't fault it. Take away drinks every night on out terrace after we put our children to bed became our little routine. The spa was beautiful, both my husband and I had treatments with Nick, who was excellent, our massages were so relaxing at the beginning of the holiday. We were also impressed they offered children's massage we booked for our son, he had a chocolate massage, it lasted 20 mins and I sat with him. Carolina was incredible, it was his first and second experience of having a massage and he loved it. Arianthe (sorry I might have spelt that wrong, you were incredibley accomodating when needing to alter treatments! Thank you. Maddy you were amazing with our boys, so friendly and personable and was lovely to watch you dance too when you had your cast off! Loved having a chat to you everyday when dropping them. Ginger, our boys love you! You were fab in kids club and also fab watching you in (all) the shows. You are possibly one of the happiest/most energetic people we have ever met. Having you both there at kids club made our boys want to come to kids club every afternoon, which gave us a few hours down time everyday, it made all our holiday more enjoyable. The shows were fun to watch and we'd met the other dancers Dani and Becca helping in kids club too so we got really invested in watching you all! And mini disco, which our children were so reluctant to join in with initially, but with the familiar faces they joined in everyday in the second week! Overall it was a wonderful holiday, we didn't want to leave. The people working are such an asset to the feel of the place. Our only disappointment was that the advertised dress code was not adhered to at dinner times.
