If you are a lover of Architecture, History and the arts, this villa is a must visit to experience the legendary Geoffrey Bawa’s original restoration of Druvi De Saram’s previous residence. It is now managed by the Bawa trust and has four rooms with a gorgeous courtyard. Although in the heart of the city, the property is very quiet and a perfect place to stay and relax whilst reading, writing or even working. The property is looked after by two kind and courteous staff members, Sujeewa and Anthony who ensured we were comfortable during our stay. The rooms and bedding, washrooms are clean and comfortable. I was allocated the room overlooking the entrance Courtyard and I personally prefer it to all the other rooms. Room is equipped with tea, coffee and a hot water kettle plus extra pillows, blankets and a working desk. The washroom has ample towels in various sizes. This is a bed and breakfast property, so you will have to enjoy your other meals from out. However this is not a problem at all since the location is in the middle of where many restaurants, bars and coffee shops are located. The music room is their most prized possession and is filled with books, art and a grand piano. You can choose to relax in this room and take in its beauty during your stay. Thank you for a lovely stay and looking forward to returning soon!

Outstanding
GGuest UserDis is the second time i have been to dis place n it felt amazing n relaxed as ever. The property is nice, pristine n kept very tidy by its owner Mr. Suresh who is more than eager to attend to ur call if u ever need his attention, n not to forget the lovely garden surrounding the property. Located in the suburbs of Colombo called Nugegoda, rather a short distance from the main town which is well connected by public transport, it gives u an ambience of a village in the town. U have Lots of sprawling eateries around serving Authentic local, Indian n chinese cuisine. Der r lots of cafe's to hang around as well. It will be jus an understatement of sorts if I say dat both times I had a very pleasant stay n it is most likely my permanent address wenever i happen to b in Colombo.
AAnonymous UserWe visited as a family of 7, including 2 kids. Chandana, the host, was very accommodating to our needs and went out of his way to make our stay pleasant. The place had a backpacker retreat type setting with Boho themes. The place is clean and well kept but appears to be a bit old, so expect the usual quirks of older homes. Parking is available for small cars only. Larger vehicles would need to park at the top of the cul-de-sac by the arterial lane. Overall, it was a positive experience.
GGuest UserI am in the middle of an eagerly awaited trip to Sri Lanka. This hotel is one that I am using as a base to visit and in many cases revisit the amazing sites and scenery that this island nation has to offer. My first visit was in 1975 and have become a fairly frequent visitor since The hotel that I am staying in on this occasion is worthy of the kindest and most appreciative comments that I can offer. The owner has assembled a wonderful crew to cater for the guests needs. The owner himself ensures that his own high standards are carried out on a daily basis. He offers the warmest of welcomes which I can have no doubt are sincere. The proximity of one of Sri Lanka’ s endless sandy beaches which offer safe swimming for any careful swimmer is an added bonus. Wildlife is on your doorstep and abounds in its wonderful bird life as well as a variety of lizards and a large number of the inevitable chipmunks that offer limitless entertainment. Undoubtedly a hotel I can thoroughly recommend ,
GGuest UserYou only need to get to the hostel from Colombo. If you take a bus, then with a transfer. But the views along the way to the hostel are amazing. In the hostel itself you can see monkeys climbing trees. I got a room with a huge bed, as it is designed for 2 people and a shower, toilet in the room - very convenient. If you ask, they will prepare breakfast for an extra fee.
EExpertNice guest house. The owners are generally charming people. We met, accommodated, told and showed everything. There is a kitchen with everything you need.
In the morning, the hostess prepared a delicious breakfast and helped call a taxi.
In general, I had a good impression.
From this place it is convenient to get to the airport.
If you have a late check-in, it is better to notify the hosts in advance.
Stay here for transit only before heading back to Maldives. Nice and big room. Affordable. There was some renovation during my stay, and was too noisy during the day. There are many cafes and restaurant close by. The Front Desk is a nice one. Hot shower is not that hot enough or is that my skin (?) Haha. But overall, is worthy.
GGuest UserGreat hotel. The room is so large that children can play. A convenient location to move anywhere for work. I had the impression that the training of employees was well done.
