We chose this hotel because it had a shuttle service from the airport. We were arriving from China after a 20+ hour trip.
The shuttle bus driver was very helpful in both directions.
However, I am giving this a 1 star review because they scammed us out of $44. As I said before we used the shuttle bus service and did NOT have a car. As we checked in we told the receptionist at the registration desk that we did not have a car two times. We even asked about the shuttle for the next day. We were very tired and jet lagged so when they gave us the paperwork to sign we didn't read it over thoroughly and just signed our name at the bottom like we have done hundreds of times at other hotels.
A few days after leaving we saw that they had charged us $44. We called them to find out why and they said it was for parking. They told us there was nothing they could do about it because we had signed the form. We asked to talk to a manager and they put us on hold for 15 minutes then hung up on us. The person we spoke to on the phone was rude and clearly had no sense for customer service.
We have stayed at Holiday Inn Express before and it has always been a pleasant experience but this location has some serious issues.

Hotel was nice. Reception was very friendly, check-in was fast and the room was spacious and clean. There was a great restaurant/bar on the lobby level with an excellent bartender. Also a self checkout convenience store with snacks and essentials which was a grear feature.
The only blemish was that the multi gym machine was out of order - cables all pulled out and obviously in the process of being repaired. Given that it was just that machine and a rack of dumbbells for strength training, it made the gym far less usable.

I heard the safety of Los Angeles (especially around sightseeing area )was getting worse so I choose this hotel.
I went to Disney land,dodgers stadium,and beaches, all by Uber.
The room was usual,nothing special.
The part that I didn’t like was very low Shower pressure.
I liked the location of the hotel because it took only 10min by free shuttle bus from LAX and 15min by walking to get to in and out burger.
I also liked the breakfast buffet, I could save money and time I guess.

GGuest UserI rarely write reviews but I have to tell you that I had a terrible service during check in. The guy who was working at the front desk said that he could not find my reservation and then he said it was canceled. I got panicked and told him that it could never happen cause I have never cancelled the reservation and it is still on my Trip.com app, so it must be your fault (I meant hotel) if it was ever canceled. But he bluntly said that he didn't cancel it and told me to figure it out as if it was my fault. I asked him to talk to someone or check again cause it looked like a system error or something to me, but he told me to go somewhere else cause he needs to greet other customer.
I was so scared because it was already after 9PM and I had nowhere else to stay. So I called Trip.com customer center, and the agent was nice and prompt to tackle the issue. In the end, she explained that Trip.com used a vendor to make a booking for the hotel, and the hotel did not know that so they could not pull up my reservation until they got another code. But I think it was partially Trip.com's fault by only sending the reservation code that did not work properly.

Visited for a 3 night stay and was very pleased. Front desk extremely nice and was able to arrange rooms next to each other for our two families. We walked in with pizza one night and she kindly offered us plates and napkins. Breakfast is a really nice setup - plenty to choose from and I was so impressed with how hard they worked to keep it clean. All of the staff went above and beyond, kudos to this hotel! Right off interstate and several food options nearby. Thanks for the great experience!

SSusanaApparently it's a fairly new hotel. Lobby is very comfortable and luxurious. I like the essential oil mist that they release in the lobby.. Very welcoming and refreshing smell. I like that,they have the elevator security for tapping key.
Very disappointed with the bedding as, I found multiple stains... On my pillow and on the bed sheet & cover... Stains on bedding is not acceptable.
The flooring also had stains.
Sliding bathroom door. It was heavy.
Otherwise it is a spacious room & comfortable.

The staff were friendly, courteous & efficient. The gated covered parking came in handy for the storm & I appreciate they have 3 well functioning luggage carts for guest use. Gateway Towne Center is within walking, 1 block to Best Buy, Marshalls, etc.

GGuest UserWe visited Universal Orlando for the first time March 31-April 2 2022 and stayed at Aventura. We loved this hotel. We had 4 adults and 4 kids ages 15, 13, 10 and 4 and we had 2 rooms. It was so close to Volcano Bay. The water taxi at the hotel across the street was so convenient, relaxing and made security a breeze to get through. The food at the hotel had good variety and was reasonably priced. The maid service we had was amazing. She even folded my kids blankets differently each day. Amenities were great and I took home my small shampoo bottles, unlike Disney that doesn't do that anymore. The robots were fun and the room tablets were so useful. We would definitely stay again. **we also stayed on Disney property during this trip and would 100% stay at Universal again before staying at Disney a second time.

GGuest UserI stayed here for 3 nights during WeHo pride weekend. It is within 10 miles from both downtown and WeHo. Even closer to the airport. The front desk is very kind and let me check in when I arrived before 2pm. The room was well decorated and met all my needs. Though there is highway nearby, I still slept well in general. There is paid breakfast buffet at the bistro and quite convenient. Parking is $25 per day and one just uses room card to go in and out. Overall I am very satisfied with my stay, better than last time when I stayed at a similar Marriott hotel in North Hollywood. Will definitely go back to this hotel.

GGuest UserI’m absolutely horrified at how my stay was handled. In the morning of Jan 7 2022, the front desk called me saying I had a call, the name of the caller was unclear to the front desk clerk. So I took the call knowing my father is the only one who knows my room number and I assumed it must be him as I am in town and staying near by his house to be able to care for him. The caller was not a voice I recognized and he asked for someone by another name. So I said sorry wrong room and hung up. When I went to tell the front desk to please not connect callers who ask only for the room number because the call was not for me and he had woken me up by calling. the clerk then confirmed that the caller asked for me by name and room number. My stomach dropped. What?!? This is terrifying. It’s possible the clerk lied about this fact to cover his mistake in not following protocol and putting a call through without confirming the guests name the caller is seeking. However, for him to not admit this after I spend hours freaking out and figuring out what to do, is beyond inconsiderate it is immoral. The manager’s first response to me over the matter was that his staff handled the phone call protocol correctly and that I accepted the call. This is after i had to coax him from his office to even talk to me, his entire attitude was that he couldn’t be bothered to do more than the bare minimum legally speaking. Ok, so your only concern is that you legally covered your self on basis of me accepting the call. But what about some strange man has my name and room number and I’m a solo female and you do not care at all other than your telephone protocol…. They offered me a room change and I said I had to think about it but ok that’s an option. I decided it doesn’t matter if I’m in another room bc if there’s a breach in their system my new room number connecting to my name would be listed. the all male staff at this point aren’t behaving in a manner that makes me feel safe to sleep alone here another night as they are barely showing concern or a desire to make me feel safer or like they even have a clue how to work in hospitality. These men had the customer service voice but the behavior was to protect their own jobs. There was not a shred of concern that a guest of theirs could be in danger or that somehow their system had been hacked. I am born and raised LA. I am not afraid of LA, I did not listen to travel advisories about crime in LA right now bc it is my home town. I needed to visit my family and be near to my dad but not in his home after flying internationally (covid). This location was my best bet.
