Came for a conference in February and stayed at the hotel. At check-in, the woman who checked us in was unfriendly and made us feel like her face would break if she ever tried to smile. All I can say is stay away from this place in the winter unless you are a lizard and love hot temperatures. The rooms were literally 85 degrees and there is a sign next to the thermostat saying that in the wintertime the cooling is turned off so the only way to cool the rooms is to turn the heat/cooling unit’s power OFF and open a window. Well, the windows only open a total of 3 inches (the width of a cell phone max) and allows no breeze to come in. I ended up turning on the bathroom fan to try and pull some kind of air movement. You should not have to keep a wet washcloth next to the bed to wipe your body down to get some kind of evaporative cooling in the middle of winter when it’s 18 degrees outside, but 85 in the room at night. I rarely write a bad review for a hotel, but this was just one I need to warn others about. All of the other people from the conference who stayed there had the same stories about the temperatures of their rooms. So bad.

GGuest User 2023.02.27
IMO The value/convenience of airport hotels is being able to WALK FROM YOUR ROOM to check in , check your bags, then walk to TSA. This is not possible at this hotel. For some reason this hotel ( property is beautiful BTW) was built so that you need a shuttle from the hotel to the terminal which is literally 500 feet away. Best case scenario if you ONLY HAVE CARRY ONG BAGS and if ( BIG IF as TSA has very limited hours at the hotel connection ) TSA is open you can walk from your room to the boarding gate providing you have a boarding pass. If you have checked bags you have to use the shuttle or as in our case walk outside to the terminal. In reality be prepared to sign up for a shuttle the day before, be prepared to walk downstairs and find a lobby of 50 or more people waiting for one shuttle that runs every 20 minutes. We signed up for the night before a 4am shuttle, arrived at 3:45 am and come 4:45am were still waiting for a ride to the terminal so we actually walked across roads with airport traffic to the terminal............most of the walk had no sidewalks. It was walk or miss our flight. Oh did I mention parking is $29 a night plus tax ? We found it FAR easier, cheaper, more reliable and much less stress to book a hotel a mile or 2 away from offsite parking , stay at that hotel and drive ourselves to off site parking in the morning vs ( EZ air park has multiple shuttles running) fighting for a shuttle. I really HATE writing this review as we stay at the Tampa ( TPA) airport Marriott often and we can walk from our room with all of our bags to the ticketing area then through TSA. When I saw this hotel being built I was excited as it COULD HAVE been a perfect spot the night before a flight............why security is set up the way it is I have no idea and unfortunately it can't be fixed.

Toasting the city’s history while setting the stage for the future, Four Seasons commands downtown Minneapolis’ most prominent location, just two blocks from the Mississippi and close to North Loop shopping and entertainment. Discover new dining by award-winning local chef Gavin Kaysen, an energizing spa and a one-of-a-kind pool plaza – all brought to life with Four Seasons warmth and care.

GGuest User 2023.01.30
We stayed at the Four a Seasons for a quick weekend. They emailed in advance of our stay to see if we needed a car service, dinner reservations, and to gather other preferences. Everything was exquisite from start to finish. This is a brand new Four Seasons (and my new favorite)! A spa treatment is a must—I booked a massage with Lindsey and it was the best massage I’ve ever had! The only (small) minus is that the co-ed hot tub was in the same area as the indoor pool. So there are children in the area (with all that entails). But there is also. Hot tub, sauna, etc within the gendered locker rooms that are kid free, so plenty of alternative options.

I had to book a last-minute hotel due to a flight delay. This one was more budget friendly than the other options. It also had a free shuttle bus (that I believe runs 1 per hour). The hotel is a bit run down and older as you would expect from the price but the bed was comfortable, room was clean and the check-in staff was nice. There is 1 restaurant walking distance but it closes at 10pm.

HHeatherAbsolutely wonderful. I am super picky and my friends all stayed at other hotels in for a wedding. I was last minute and didn’t like what I had seen in the other hotels my friends were at so I walked down to check out this one and I was so happy I did! Love love love it. Clean and cozy and felt like an adults on the interior furnishings. Other hotels have cheap furniture and feel like dorm rooms. I was really have with this choice all the way around!!! I will definitely be back and can’t wait for their new spa to open!! Staff was great too and hotel was decorated lovely for Christmas! Great price also!

SStanI would definitely recommend this hotel to people and I would stay here again. It looked like it was newly renovated. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff were very chatty and gave us good service. Especially the two guys who worked the evening weekend shifts at the front desk. The location is perfect , parking is in a garage across the street and many bars and restaurants are within waking distance. Very good value for money!

GGuest UserHad a wonderful one night stay at the historic Nicollet Island Inn. Beautiful location and very convenient to downtown Minneapolis, St. Anthony Main/Stone Arch Bridge area and the University of Minnesota. We had a king room that was clean, comfortable, quiet, and spacious. Complimentary coffee in the morning, but no refrigerator in room. Staff was super friendly. Plenty of free parking. When you book a room, you have the option to make reservations for the restaurant, but we opted to eat elsewhere. It is expensive to stay here, but we loved it and would definitely stay again!

GGuest UserI’ve stayed at The Normandy three times now. In part for the location, but also because we enjoy the hotel and it’s excellent restaurant. The parking is easy, the rooms comfortable and clean. Our shower was particularly nice. We didn’t get to take advantage of the milk and cookies this time but I’ve had them before and it’s a nice touch. The gentleman at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful; all the staff we encountered were very nice. We particularly like the Normandy Kitchen. I’ve had many delicious meals there and heartily recommend the caramelized Brussel sprouts with Lardons. It was so good we considered ordering a second helping as dessert. I’m sure we will stay there again.

GGuest UserThe room and the hotel interior generally had modern décor and everything was in good condition and clean. In my room there was a surprisingly large mini-fridge, a large TV, and a very small microwave. The internet connection was fast. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was okay. There was a bit of traffic noise, but that’s to be expected given the location. Walking around in the daytime, the neighborhood seemed very safe. Overall, a good place to stay in downtown Minneapolis. Hotel parking is not well marked (it’s immediately west of the building on 11th St.) and it’s $20/night in addition to the room rate.

GGuest UserMy son and I stayed here for 6 nights 7/2-7/8 for a national fencing tournament at the convention center. Agatha at the front desk was stellar. She was welcoming and could not have been more helpful. Also, Adam in the Living Room bar (lobby bar) was very good too. He knew my drink, remembered my name and was good with conversation. All the staff we met were really friendly and helpful. W does a great job with interior design and this hotel is the perfect mix of original Art Deco design and modern interior. Common areas are sleek, and lighting is interesting. I did not like the lack of good lighting in the elevator, as I always had to use my phone to light up the floor numbers. We stayed on the 16th floor in a 2-queen room. The room was very clean, small, and there is minimal storage, Beds and linens are comfortable. If you are staying for more than a couple days and want to unpack, there is only a small, 2 drawer unit that does not hold much. The bathroom is large and well appointed, and the bath products smell amazing. My issue is the rain shower mounted overhead, rather than a wall mounted shower head. As a woman who does not wash her hair every day, I struggled to keep my hair dry and had to do the in and out dance as the water fell from above. My son did not like it either. This type of shower is not as satisfying as a wall mounted shower head that blasts you. I also wish that the room had a regular coffee maker rather than an espresso machine. with tiny cups. There is free coffee in the lobby, but who wants to go down 16 floors for a cup of coffee, and have to return to your room? There is a diner called Keys, attached to the hotel that is really good for breakfast and lunch. The observation deck at the top of the building is great too. I had drinks with friends in the lobby bar, the Living Room, and we all enjoyed the cool, comfortable space and good service. Interestingly enough, we got to watch a pimp with 2 ladies of the evening do business with a man sitting at the bar. This very intoxicated, elderly man left arm in arm with 2 young, scantily clad 'ladies'. No one who worked there seemed at all concerned, or for that matter surprised. Overall, I liked this hotel, I liked the staff, but the room fell a little short for me on size, functionality and that silly rain shower.
