"There's no elevator, so carrying luggage up to your room can be a bit of a struggle. Also, the location on the map was wrong; it showed the restaurant, but the actual room was in a small alley, which took some searching to find. The staff were all very friendly, but with the language barrier, many things were unclear, like suddenly being asked to pay an 8 Euro tourist tax. The place was generally clean, but there was a bit of dust near the window and the floor wasn't spotless. However, I have to say the bed was really comfortable, and the location was very close to all the main tourist attractions in Belgium."

"The hotel is centrally located and the rooms are spacious and airy. In this respect, the stay was quite comfortable. The breakfast was also quite good. However, when evaluated in terms of price-performance ratio, it's debatable whether it's really worth the price difference compared to other hotels.
Regarding the staff, we had a mixed experience. Some of the reception staff were very polite and helpful, but some were unnecessarily rude. The bartenders, in particular, left a negative impression. The fact that the same person was in charge of both reception and the bar in the evenings also somewhat lowered the quality of service.
Although we were told we could use the garden, it was unpleasant that they made a fuss when we wanted to sit there in the evening. Also, the fact that the same ashtray remained on the table in the garden for 3 days without being emptied created a poor image in terms of cleanliness. Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the overall cleanliness either."

"It was a very pleasant and cozy hotel. The check-in is at the bar around the corner. The shared bathroom is used by 3 rooms on the floor which is not too bad. The location is great as well - close to the train station and about 1 km from the city centre and the area around the hotel is very nice and clean as well. Would definitely stay here again"

"El servicio excelente, con el extra de que antes de la hora del check-in ya teníamos la habitación disponible.
Ubicación excelente y los servicios compartidos con el Duke's Palace (recepción, desayuno...).
Es conveniente saber que, aunque te llevan las maletas hasta el hotel, este se encuentra en un edificio con algunos escalones que se deben de salvar en los pisos superiores, pese a contar en ascensor, por lo que debe ser tenido en cuenta para las personas con movilidad reducida."

"Everything was perfect excepted the mattress is too soft and it makes your back pain.
For Breakfast : Suggestion on all vegan drink, please make sure that the open date is not too long that suggested on the box otherwise the taste gonna gone off like I experienced Chocolate Soya ( it tasted sour already)

"Let me start by saying the location is amazing. A short walk of a couple of hundred meters and you're right in the middle of the main square. That's truly fantastic.
The room was fine. Just a good bed, bathroom, sink, and air conditioning. There was no wardrobe, which is a drawback. So, more or less what you'd expect, nothing special in our opinion.
What's bad is the soundproofing. The first night, we were terribly bothered by noise from the upstairs neighbors. Huge thudding sounds even at 2 and 3 AM. The second night, we woke up to very loud talking on the street around 6 AM. The windows were closed, but it sounded as if they were open. And since there's no reception or anything, you can't do anything about it. Whether we'll book this again is doubtful. A good night's sleep is important. We had room 205, facing the street, which we definitely advise against! Our adult kids had 107 and 204. Room 107 is at the back and didn't suffer from street noise, but both rooms did have issues with the ”upstairs neighbors.”
So, perhaps a tip would be to book a room on an upper floor at the back."

"The hotel is very conveniently located, just a few minutes' walk from the square! There is parking space, but you have to be very careful. The front desk staff was very attentive and helped us upgrade to the room in the main building, but it was not in line with the price I booked at the time, which caused some minor problems, but they actively helped us. Later I learned that there should be a problem with Ctrip's quotation system. The attic room on the top floor is in another apartment building, and it is not very convenient to go up and down the stairs. In addition, the facilities are old, but the price shown by the Ctrip system is higher. I apologize for the trouble caused to the front desk lady. Friends who want to book the top floor, it is recommended not to spend a high price, just book an ordinary superior room!"

"My bunkbed didn’t have a curtain so I asked to change at reception. Unfortunately, I was changed to a bunkbed next to the door which was unnecessarily loud. On my last night there there was also a constant beeping that everyone complained about.
It’s a clean hostel with a pub, which was pretty cool. My room was in a building separate to the pub. The kitchen was great with a cute outside area to eat.
It’s a bit of a walk to the train station but there are buses."

Guest UserFantastic hotel! I stayed here for a business trip back in 2007, and returning in 2026, it feels just as welcoming. The hotel facilities are great, the environment is clean and hygienic, and the front desk staff are incredibly warm and patient. The restaurant is excellent, and the bedding is wonderfully comfortable! Definitely recommend!

Guest UserMy partner and I had one of the mansion suites on the 3rd floor. Although our room didn’t have a view it was spacious and comfortable. The toiletries smelt divine.
The bed and pillows were super comfy.
Staff are friendly.
Breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of fruit and fresh juices / smoothies. Customised omelettes were made.
The hotel itself is boutique, contemporary and in a good location to Brugge Train Station, buses and also all the main attractions. It is nestled down a quiet street but still close enough to main attractions.
You have waffles and fresh potato fries shops within a minute walk from the hotel, including a supermarket if you need anything.

Location at 10 minutes walk from the city. You can park in a garage at about 4 minutes walk. The staff is very friendly. When arrived there was a box of chocolate bottles and when departure we got cookies. The room was cleaner; there were still hair in the bathroom. Breakfast was good but not special.

Hotel Portinari in Bruges is a gem! The modern design is both stylish and inviting, creating a lovely atmosphere. My room was comfortable and well-appointed, making it a perfect retreat. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the city’s main attractions. The friendly staff added to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Bruges!

Hotel is neat the train station. However, the Escalator to the platform of the hotel is not working . We need to find a elevator from the car park to enter the hotel. There's carrefour express and bus station to the city center right next to the train station.
Really thankful for the early checkin cuz we arrived a bit earlier. The reception is polite and helpful. The room is clean and neat. Spacious for 3 ppl.
However, they charge me extra money €100sth after I check out. Trip.com staff is also helpful for asking the hotel for refund. Otherwise, the experience there was satisfying.

The location is excellent and it is very convenient to go to various attractions. If you drive yourself, it is a bit difficult to get in and out of the hotel. The car is clearly parked next door, but it took half an hour to get to the hotel entrance (one-way street + road closure)
