"My first stay at Hengdian VIP Building was actually quite disappointing. I didn't expect the floor manager to follow up and apologize so quickly, showing a very sincere attitude towards addressing the issues.
During my second stay, for three days, I felt thoughtful care every single day: handwritten notes, proactive greetings and inquiries... every detail was considerate and thorough. VIP Building proved with their actions that they truly 'take guest feedback to heart.' For the three days I stayed, the room was clean and comfortable, and the dining was also more attentive than last time. When I checked out, the lobby manager even came to see me off and asked about my experience. This is the kind of sincerity that shows a willingness to listen and improve.
No excuses, just serious listening and timely improvement. This approach of taking guest feedback seriously is more convincing than any fancy promotion. Next time I come to Hengdian, I think I will still choose VIP Building."

"Fantastic location! Just a 5-minute walk to the subway station, with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The room was even cleaner than I expected, and the bedding was so soft it felt like sleeping on a cloud. I'll definitely choose this place again next time! The front desk lady was incredibly warm, like an old friend. She even upgraded us to a family room when she saw we had a child and hand-drew a map of the surrounding area. The attention to detail was truly heartwarming!"

"Excellent! Housekeeping comes to clean every day, which is wonderful. The front desk staff are super gentle, and the soundproofing is great. My friend and I stayed there for a few days and had a very pleasant experience. Every time the auntie came to clean, she'd replenish anything that was missing, which is a huge plus. The location is super easy to find, right behind a night market. Whenever we were hungry, we just went downstairs and walked a few steps to the night market â it was amazing! "Having spent some time in Hengdian before, I often passed by and saw this hotel, which piqued my curiosity. So, for this business trip, I decided to give it a try. You can tell the hotel was once very luxurious, and even though time has passed and it's showing its age a bit, it still has all the essential amenities. My stay exceeded expectations. The hotel is right in the city center, and the room was meticulously cleaned with no strange odors. The bed was just the right firmness, ensuring a very comfortable sleep. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful, responding promptly to any questions. The surrounding area offers convenient transportation, and it's easy to find places to eat and shop. It's excellent value for money, and I highly recommend it. Plus, the soundproofing is fantastic; when I first arrived, it was so quiet I genuinely thought there weren't many guests. However, when I went downstairs for breakfast, I found a long queue! They even gave us afternoon tea snacks and a handwritten letter. I was genuinely surprised when I saw the handwritten letter; it's been so long since I've seen one, and it was truly touching. Overall, I am very satisfied."

"Super fun! This was one of the theme hotels that were hidden on the Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street set. Appropriately, the Rosslyn Hotels' brand icon is the Landlady from Kungfu Hustle.
Upon arrival, you check in at the North Gate's Tourist Services Desk. The concierge welcomed me with a complimentary bag of fresh fruit and asking me to add their butler (Housekeeper Xiao Xiao) to my WeChat. If I needed anything, I just had to text the Housekeeper Xiao Xiao (who was super helpful with all my questions (in English) during my stay). Then the bellhop whisked me away, via golf cart, to my hotel.
There were several hidden hotels, with different themes, throughout the set.
The bellhop took me through an unassuming door among into what looked like an empty set, and up an elevator to the room floors.
The walkway offered a lovely view of the Ming Qing Palace set next door. The rooms were supposed to be themed as Guangzhou and Hong Kong in the 70s and 80s, but could easily pass for old Shanghai.
The room was immaculate. The bed was very comfortable, the shower has nice and hot and with fantastic water pressure. The room has some of the largest closet space that I have seen in any hotel. The WiFi worked without the need to register a local cellphone number (I've found that many other hotels, in China, offered free WiFi, but you need to verify with an ID code text to you. The texts never come through to my U.S. phone number, so I have never been able to take advantage of free WiFi; that is until I got to this hotel.) The little details were delightful surprises around every corner. They always refer to guests as âlaoshiâ (an honorific of teacher, or master, bestowed to actors) or as âstarletâ. Not gonna lie, I really wanted to take home the pair of the room's bone china cups.
The stay also comes with very decent breakfast buffet that had both Chinese and western dishes. They will even make you fresh wontons and noodle soups to order. The restaurants in the park are not great and quite expensive by China's standard. I recommend loading up at the more tasty free breakfast to power through the day.
The hotel's location was very convenient for touring Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street; which had very lively evening shows. (As you walk through the streets, look at the stores' signs and test your TV shows and movie knowledge by finding the Easter eggs.) The Qing Ming Palace Set is across the street from the Guangzhou Street and Hong Kong Street's South Gateon the other side of the park (don't worry, it's not that far). To access the other sets, you can take their shuttle, but it does not come around very often. It's more efficient to get a Didi.
Overall, it was a magical stay of being in the movies."

"During my stay, the crew of the TV show 'He Bu Tong Zhou Du' were also staying at the hotel. I'd see them at breakfast, and from my window seat, I could catch glimpses of some of the stars getting their makeup done, though I didn't recognize any of them. The hotel butler offered personalized, attentive service, which was a lovely touch. Breakfast had a wide variety of options. The room had a Chinese-style decor. Robot delivery for food orders was super fast, likely because the area around the hotel is quite bustling. The hotel is conveniently located close to many attractions, making it easy to get around by taxi. Wansheng Night Market is also just a few hundred meters walk away."

XXiaofanfanailvyouTraveling to Hengdian solo, I booked this relatively new Hampton by Hilton. The location is excellent, very convenient for visiting Qin King Palace and Qingming Shanghe Tu. There's a fantastic variety of restaurants nearby, many of which are delicious. The room layout was well-designed, and it had a large floor-to-ceiling window offering a great view. Highly recommend!

GGuest UserWe booked a hotel near the Hengdian World Studios facilities to have an easy access to the scenic areas. This hotel was 5 minutes away from the Palace of Emperor Qin, which already made it an excellent choice, but THE HOTEL ITSELF IS SO BEAUTIFUL!! It has a lot of old-style decoration, the room was wide and had little carvings in the ceiling wooden beams... they were re-arranging the courtyard, we think they may want to plant something?
The room was big, the beds very comfortable (very firm and VERY big), the shower was nigh perfect. We used the floor heating system, but there was also available the A/C from the ceiling if we preferred.
They gave us breakfast every day, freshly made, the eggs in particular were super fresh. Delicious and abundant! Extra praise to the cook, she was very nice even with the language barrier. About that, we spoke zero Chinese, so we used translation apps all day long. All the staff was very, very kind and made great efforts to be understood. We appreciated that immensely!
If we ever go back to Hengdian (hopefully!!), we certainly will go back to this hotel.

GGuest UserVery friendly and great hospitality by the owners. They are friendly and helpful and gave us a food and attraction strategy guide which was very useful as our purpose in Hengdian was to visit the major filming studios. The estate was located deep in a neighbourhood area and we have a small problem locating the front entrance desk. Currently they are still doing upgrading to the estate with gardens and swimming pool (refer to photo). I'm sure it will look amazing once completed. The estate was built in 2023 from the ground up and was designed by the same designer who did the Qin Palace. No wonder this homestay has this ancient building look. The room was pretty nice but I find the bed to be too stiff. I'm used to a soft and cushy kind of bed back home and couldn't sleep well for the 3 nights we are there. My family members have no such problem though. Homemade breakfast was provided everyday by 1 of the cleaner cum cook lady. She was super friendly and the food are fantastic and healthy. This is definitely worth a look if you are looking for accomodation in Hengdian and want to experience a more localised feel compared to a standard hotel stay.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is very close to Qin Palace, just a 2-minute walk away. The suite is decorated very luxuriously, and the living room is extremely spacious, perfect for moving around. Each room has its own bathroom, which is clean and hygienic. The service was exceptional; they helped reserve a parking spot for me. I had sent a large quantity of goods ahead of time, and they were all neatly organized and moved into the living room. When I checked out, I still had several unused boxes, and they even helped me arrange their handover to the logistics company. It was incredibly hassle-free!

JJCF6866Having just checked out, I couldn't wait to write this review. I need to express my warmest thanks to Home Inn (Dream Valley Store) for the incredibly thoughtful experience they provided â especially for their heartwarming assistance during a heavy rainstorm in Hengdian.
On the evening of June 27th, 2025, a sudden downpour hit as we were leaving the Bund scenic area, leaving my elderly parents and children stranded. After nearly 40 minutes of unsuccessfully trying to hail a taxi or rideshare, and in my growing desperation, I contacted the Home Inn Business Hotel (Dream Valley Store) where we were staying.
Upon hearing our predicament, the front desk attendant, Xiao Zhu, immediately and unhesitatingly promised to help. Just one minute later, she called back with amazing news: 'The hotel manager is on his way, driving his personal car to pick you up!'
Eighteen minutes later, the manager arrived in the pouring rain. He immediately put us at ease with his warm and reassuring demeanor. Upon our arrival back at the hotel, the front desk had warm water ready and waiting for us.
From their decisive promise, to the manager's rescue in the pouring rain, and even the thoughtful gesture of warm water, Home Inn Hengdian truly went above and beyond service, demonstrating the very best of human kindness. My deepest gratitude goes to the manager, the front desk staff, and all the employees!

Environment: Nice environment. From the window, you can see the Qin Palace. The hotel is not far from the Qin Palace, the Qingming Riverside Scene, and Dream Valley.

YYappiesQiI booked 2 rooms n stayed at level 3. its facing the ni hao night market ans right at the right side is the shopping street.. Dont have to get breakfast from the hotel as breakfast is easy to settle when it is surreounded by shophouses. I watch videos at night via bilibili on my hp and cast it on their TV. the connection is awesome.. I dont feel the noise from the street and in fact, I prefer it.. the whole room is clean. the service is average, like no smile when receiving but still ok, not rude still.. they will take photo of everyone who stayed in the hotel, sharing that they will submit it to the police.. this is the rule for staying in hengdian.. going to the theme parks all required didi.

The location is super convenient, right in the heart of Hengdian, very close to the scenic spots. It's easy to get to Dream Valley, Qin Palace, or Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival. Taking a taxi or bus is hassle-free. There are also plenty of dining options and shops nearby, with snack bars and convenience stores everywhere. It feels very safe to go out for a stroll in the evening.
The hotel's overall environment is clean and tidy. The lobby is spacious and bright, which is very pleasant to see. The public areas are well-maintained and organized, not messy at all. The overall atmosphere is quiet and peaceful; even though it's near scenic spots, it doesn't feel noisy.
The room is decorated very warmly; I felt relaxed the moment I walked in. The lighting is soft, and the decor is simple yet comfortable. The bedding is soft and clean, making for a very comfortable sleep. After a day of exploring the scenic spots, lying down on the bed instantly relieved most of my fatigue. The room space is adequate, with good lighting and ventilation, and the cleanliness is excellent, even in the corners. Toiletries are complete, and the hot water is stable, making for a very comfortable stay.
The front desk staff's attitude is also excellent; check-in and check-out are quick, and they answer questions patiently. The overall value for money is high. Staying here is truly suitable for a trip to Hengdian â great location, clean environment, and a comfortable stay. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Hengdian!

I recently stayed at this hotel with my two friends and had a pleasant experience overall. The owner, a lovely lady, was incredibly friendly and made sure I felt welcome throughout my stay. The location is super convenient, with plenty of restaurants, fruit markets, and mini supermarkets nearby, making it easy to explore and grab anything you need.
The hotel is about 16 km away from the main attractions, roughly an hour's drive, so itâs a bit out of the way, but that also means it's quieter. The room itself was not the cleanest, but for the price, it was worth it. The essentials were covered with hot water, air conditioning, and all the basic amenities youâd expect, including free toiletries.
One of the best parts is that the hotel accepts foreigners without any issues, which made my stay stress-free. If you're looking for budget-friendly accommodation with all the basic comforts and a very kind host, this place is a solid choice.
