"Seriously, what a find! This guesthouse is located at the highest point in Jinkeng Dazhai that's accessible by car, which saved us a lot of uphill walking. From here, it's just a 10-minute walk to Observation Deck No. 2 and 20 minutes to Observation Deck No. 1. The rooms are equipped with all sorts of high-tech facilities, spacious and comfortable, with a faint scent of tung oil. The large balcony offers direct views of the stunning rice terraces, perfect for time-lapse photography, or simply lounging around, daydreaming and sipping tea – a truly relaxing experience. We stayed here for two comfortable nights. The guesthouse even has an elevator, making it super convenient to get to the fourth floor. The owner's cooking is absolutely amazing, and even breakfast was very generous. They served complimentary homemade rice wine with every meal, and even gave us a souvenir when we left. The owner is incredibly thoughtful!"

"I chose this place mainly because I wanted easy access to the rice terraces, and it honestly worked out really well. Getting there didn’t feel like a hassle at all—it was close enough that I didn’t have to wake up too early or worry about complicated transportation. It made the whole trip feel more relaxed.
What I liked most was being able to just plan my visit without stressing about travel time. I could head out when I felt like it and still have plenty of time to enjoy the views. It also made it easier to go back and rest after exploring, which I really appreciated after walking around the terraces.
If you’re visiting mainly for the rice terraces, this location just makes things simpler. It’s not about luxury or anything over the top—it’s just practical and convenient, which honestly made a big difference in my overall experience."

"The room looks exactly like the pictures on Trip.com, directly facing the rice terraces. I really have to commend this guesthouse run by local villagers in Jinkeng Village! The owner even carried our luggage to the room with a shoulder pole. I loved the style of the small courtyard, the rooftop, and the lobby – cozy, bright, and natural wood tones. The guesthouse service exceeded our expectations. They told us the best times to photograph the terraces for that mirror-like effect, introduced us to nearby attractions, and even offered a free fish-catching activity. They sent us the menu via WeChat in advance. The chives and small fish we ordered for dinner were freshly picked and caught from the owner's own garden. The complimentary iced rice wine was absolutely delicious. These honest villagers truly welcome every guest with all their heart."

"The hotel facilities are clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped. The shower water was nice and hot. The hotel's location is excellent, offering a fantastic 180-degree panoramic view. The lobby downstairs is spacious and beautifully decorated. The owner was incredibly warm and thoughtful, helping us plan our itinerary right from when we booked the room. She advised us on how to avoid wasting time traveling between the two villages on the scenic bus and even booked our bus tickets back to Guilin for the next day. After checking out, she kindly drove us to the parking lot. "The room was spacious, bright, clean, and comfortable. The balcony offered a beautiful, expansive view of the terraced fields. Breakfast was included, and we just needed to arrange lunch and dinner with the owner. They also provided shuttle service up and down the mountain, which was incredibly convenient. "The B&B is located halfway up the mountain. The rooms are clean and hygienic, fully controlled by a smart system. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer stunning views of the village and terraced rice fields. The owner picked us up at the Dazhai parking lot and took us home. After lunch, we hiked up the mountain and took the cable car down. After getting off the cable car, we contacted the owner, who then dropped us off (it wasn't far, but we were exhausted after the hike). We had dinner at the B&B again. The bamboo chicken and rice were freshly cooked and grilled. The mountain bamboo shoots and cured pork were delicious, and the portions were generous. The glutinous rice wine served with the meal was also delicious. The next day, after breakfast, the owner dropped us off at the parking lot, which was a hassle-free experience. If I were to return, I would definitely stay at this B&B again."

GGuest UserThis is hands down the best homestay I've ever experienced! The hosts (the owner and his wife) are incredibly kind and welcoming. My suitcase had become exceptionally heavy after several days of travel and shopping. Without a moment's hesitation, even in the pouring rain, the owner single-handedly carried it up multiple flights of stairs. I was deeply touched by his incredible effort; it was genuinely hard work. Dinner was a heartwarming experience, shared with their entire family, and their children were absolutely adorable. The hosts are genuine, hardworking individuals from an ethnic minority group, dedicated to running their homestay with integrity and care.
No matter what needs or concerns arose during my stay, the hosts enthusiastically went above and beyond to assist, genuinely caring for every guest. This is something I experienced firsthand. Finding such a wonderful place and meeting such kind-hearted people is truly a lucky and heartwarming part of any journey.
This review reflects my honest opinion; if you're reading it, you can book this place without a second thought. The scenery, needless to say, is absolutely stunning, and the location is equally superb. So, when comparing similar value for money, I chose an environment that offered more warmth and positive energy. Encountering such fortunate and heartwarming people and experiences during a tiring journey truly re-energizes us, empowering us to face life with renewed strength and diligence. GGuest UserThe views from our room were absolutely stunning! The place was spotlessly clean, and the room's furnishings and facilities were excellent. The plums grown by the owner were incredibly delicious; I took two to try when we left and immediately regretted not buying more to snack on during our drive. The guesthouse also served excellent meals, and the prices were very reasonable. Our family of seven all had a fantastic experience. The guesthouse's location is truly unbeatable; it seems to be the only inn situated closest to the No. 2 Heavenly Ladder viewpoint. We only realized after arriving at Longji that booking an inn in the wrong location can be incredibly inconvenient.

GGuest UserRoom is spacious and clean, food was great. Location is perfect, amazing view and within walking distance to 9 dragon 5 tiger view point. The owner came to the station to pick us up with his car and I am still amazed at how he carry our two large luggages 40lbs each with just a bamboo stick and walk up and down those stairs to the hotel, we were tired just to walk up with empty hand. Will definitely stay here again, highly recommended.

JJingcaisunjianThe location is great, just a seven or eight-minute walk from the Ping'anzhai observation deck. The scenery is absolutely stunning, surrounded by mountains. Opening the balcony door from your room feels like you're living in the clouds.
We went during the off-season, so there weren't many people. The guesthouse has a traditional Chinese architectural style, all solid wood, and the materials used are very substantial.
The only downside is that you have to park in a designated parking lot quite far from the hotel, pay a high parking fee, and then buy an electric cart ticket to get up there. You can clearly drive up yourself, which I found very confusing and inconvenient.

The environment is even more exceptional. The guesthouse is tranquil, elegant, and naturally serene. You can take in the breathtaking views of the Longji Terraces right from your room, enjoying an expansive, incredibly soothing vista.
And the service is truly impeccable! The housekeeper was warm, genuine, and thoughtfully helped us with our luggage. She even proactively brought afternoon tea and playing cards to our room, showing incredible attention to detail. Upon checkout, they had even prepared a lovely farewell gift, which was both heartwarming and touching.
The main highlight is how incredibly delicious the food is! The free-range chicken is self-raised, and the green vegetables are home-grown! The organic taste is simply divine!

LLeonie WigleyI had an absolutely wonderful stay here. I went out of season, so I was the one of the only guests for two days, this made if even more special. if you travel during rainy season make sure to have rainboots and rain proof coats etc. The nights and mornings can get very cold so prepare warm clothes. The family helped me from booking a local shuttle bus from Yangshuo to arrive and departing and also picked me up on my day of arrival from the park entrance. The Homestay is quite far up the hills, not very easy to find you need to carpool or ask owners to help with scooter ride, but the views and people make it all the worthwhile. It is close to many hiking trails and view points. The family welcomed me with so much love the room was exactly as it said. Their food and pricing is also very affordable. They family is of the local ethnicity and they gave me an up-close view in their lives and their traditional ways. I tasted their rice wine, chilli paste , traditional tea and bamboo rice and many other delicious foods. The owners and family are very helpful and if you have any questions, or want to know more of need to get to a certain part of the area they are happy to help. This family and their black dog filled my heart with so much love and gratitude. Note for for foreign travelers: They don't speak English, but do not let this scare you if you are a foreigner, translator apps are helpful if you can't understand the language.
Overall, I highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful, tranquil and family-like feeling enjoy the outdoors and nature. I will definitely be going back!

GGuest User🚗Convenience: I drove from Chengdu to Guilin with a friend's family. The journey was long, so we decided to stay at Longji halfway up the mountain as our first stop. After looking around online and communicating with the boss, we chose Yunman! When we parked at the foot of the mountain and walked to the parking lot, the owner was already waiting for us at the door, which was very thoughtful.
🛏️Beauty: When we arrived at the accommodation, we were attracted by the scenery in front of us. Outside the balcony was the terraced fields. We drank tea and ate with the breeze on our faces. It felt very comfortable. We told the boss that we were tired from the journey and we were going to take a break and go fishing. The boss also contacted Baba Shishi for us.
🌄Excellent location: It is very convenient to walk to the scenic spots on both sides, and the night stroll in the village next to it is also very close. We went to the Jiulong Wuhu Observation Deck first because we were going to catch fish. The children walked barefoot on the stone road, and wild strawberries could be picked everywhere on the roadside. They were so sweet, the scenery was beautiful, and it was a surprise~ The adults had more fun than the children in the fishing activity😂
🏡Comfortable: We booked a twin bed, the room is spacious and bright, the balcony has unlimited scenery, the night is lit by candlelight, the stars are twinkling, and tourists who hike at night walk with flashlights. Apart from the darkness, there are moving lights as companions, as if you are in the starry sky. As a background for the balcony, it is simply amazing, haha. My friend didn't have much expectations for the terraced fields, but when he arrived during the flooding period, he got used to it, and it was also beautiful. My friend felt very good and the experience was full!
🥗Delicious: We ordered the meal directly in the restaurant. The boss asked the restaurant chef to cook the fish we caught for us. We originally wanted to do it ourselves, but our husband talked to the chef and withdrew because he felt that the chef was very professional. The chicken tasted great in two ways. This meal was the best we had on the way, bar none. The rice wine was delicious. It was a pity that we didn’t eat the snails recommended by the boss. When we left, the boss sent us to the parking lot. Next time we go, we will go there to have a good time!

GGuest UserThis is the second time I have come to Longji. I lived on the edge of the Five Tigers in Kowloon last time. I didn’t climb to the mountain much. However, that one is a mountain view, that is, the room does not have terraces. Therefore, this time I want to say that I will try it in Ping'an Village. This should be an old hotel, but the sanitary landscape is first-class. Although unlike the Kowloon Five Tigers, you can take the shuttle bus to the hotel entrance, but this one will only take two minutes to get off the bus. The hotel’s food is cooked by the proprietress. The hotel’s pick-up service is the boss’s own responsibility. The bed linen and bath towels are very clean and the water is very hot. The large balcony is even more direct to the terraces, the price is super high, it is recommended. Figure 1 and 2 are taken from the balcony, super beautiful. . By the way, there are many shops on the Kowloon Five Tigers that borrow folk costumes, a set of 20 yuan, really, come here, it is still very good to borrow a set of photos.

GGuest UserAll these photos were taken from the balcony of the B&B! ! The owner of the B&B is very hospitable and the food is super delicious. I had to eat another bowl of my favorite noodle soup before leaving! With such a beautiful view and the friendly local Red Yao proprietress, we stayed one more night. Come on everyone, the scenery is absolutely beautiful, beyond words! ! !
