"I originally thought that Shaoshan Hotel was a government-type reception hotel, and the sanitation and rooms should be very good. Booked a deluxe room. There is no luxurious feel at all, the carpets are dirty, the bedding is uncomfortable, and the lights are dim. Don't be fooled by the photos, the room facilities are not well maintained. Breakfast ended at 9 o'clock, and when we arrived at 8:30, there was nothing to eat. The breakfast in this old hotel should be very good. Very poor value for money.
The advantage is that the location is very good. When you go out, you can walk a few steps to Mao Zedong Square and the Memorial Hall, as well as Mao Zedong's former residence, which is very close on foot. Parking is easy."

"The family triple room at the hotel was fantastic! It was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and both the kids and adults slept very well. The room was clean and tidy, well-laid out, and had good soundproofing, so there was no noise disturbance. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, and was fully equipped and very convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in and check-out were quick. The location was also very convenient, with easy access to transportation and restaurants. Overall, a superb experience, great value for money, perfect for family trips, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!"

"Stayed in a room in the main building. The hotel is in a good location, close to South Railway Station and not far from Shaoshan. The hotel facilities are good and the layout is very charming. The waiters were all friendly and the service was attentive. What impressed me most was the enthusiasm and thoughtfulness of Manager Li Xiu.
The food in the restaurant is delicious and the prices are relatively affordable, especially the restaurant on the second floor. The hotel is equipped with a swimming pool, which can satisfy those who like swimming and stay near Shaoshan. There is a gift shop downstairs for convenient shopping.
The disadvantage is that the hotel does not have a washing machine, which is still a traditional hotel practice. There are also no laundry bags for dirty clothes, but rudimentary plastic bags are provided."

THE place to stay in Shaoshan. I felt like I was at home, tucked into a quiet wooded corner of town. They helped me organize my short stay, drove me around, and cooked up an excellent breakfast. They were great company and my only complaint is that I couldn’t stay longer. (The room was perfect; the pictures speak for themselves.)

This is a very typical rural B&B, with a restaurant on the first floor and guest rooms on the second and third floors. The B&B is located in a village at the entrance of the scenic spot. Parking is allowed and pets are allowed. It is about 500 meters away from the former residence of the elders and the Bronze Statue Square. The owner's service is warm and the room is clean. The facilities are simple and outdated. The bathroom did not provide bath towels and there was no shower. The bedding may be too basic and make a twitching sound when you turn over. In Shaoshan in March, the temperature at night was very low, so I needed to turn on the air conditioner, but the sound from the outdoor air conditioner was loud, like a tractor. When I turned off the air conditioner, the same sound came from the outdoor air conditioners in other rooms, and the quilt was a little thin. Great choice for light sleepers. It’s okay to just pass by on a self-driving tour and stay overnight.

The hotel environment was comfortable. Our room type was quite a walk, located at the end of the corridor, where I could see a fountain. The room itself was spacious, but the carpet was a bit dirty. Parking was tight; it was a hit or miss situation. Breakfast offered fruit salad, mini wontons, bacon, and boiled eggs, but only one of the two breakfast display areas was set up, perhaps because it was too early and the kitchen wasn't fully prepared yet. If you order takeout, it's only delivered to the designated takeout area at the entrance, and there are no robots for delivery.

床鋪特別舒適，印象特別深刻的是，結束白天的行程回到潤基民宿，老闆一邊陪我們聊天，一邊在整理摺疊洗凈曬乾後的床單被套枕頭枕套。
下次來，還會再選潤基。
另：潤基民宿的家庭餐也很不錯，可選套餐也可單點菜。
我們一大家定了6間房，在潤基民宿住了2晚，非常滿意。

Stayed here for two days, it is worth visiting in depth, very close to the core attractions such as Grandpa Mao's former residence, bronze statue square, life exhibition, etc. It is within walking distance, there are environmental protection station points nearby, and it is convenient to go to other attractions. The boss is also a Mao family. I heard a lot of fun things. The proprietress is a clean person. The sanitation is very good. There is a disposable mattress. I have lived in the most worry-free time in the homestay. I will come again next time!

Guest UserThe owners of this place are the nicest people ever! Even though we did not ask, they gave us a ride to and from the train station as well as to Chairman Mao's former residence. The location is great, it would not have been a long walk but the ride made our visit even smoother. The hosts gave us Chairman Mao pins for free and made us delicious breakfast for a really cheap price. They truly are such nice people! They don't speak much English but I'm sure you would manage just fine with a translator app. The room was a great fit for us, two couples travelling together, and it had everything we needed. We only stayed for one night since there is not a whole lot to see in this town but we would have loved to stay for longer just because the hosts were so nice. I would definitely recommend this place! 谢谢你们对我们的悉心照顾!
