"This hotel is right at the entrance to the scenic area, which was incredibly convenient for getting in early and beating the crowds. We went in at 9 AM and had the place practically to ourselves, with plenty of time to explore.
I really need to apologize to a young lady we met there. As we were driving back to the hotel as it was getting dark, a woman on an electric scooter came alongside us and asked if we were staying at the hotel. We thought she was trying to solicit business for another hotel, so we told her we already had a reservation. She kept asking if we were staying at 'Yijia' and explained how to park there. At the time, I couldn't remember the name of the hotel I'd booked, so I just ignored her. Then I quickly checked my phone and, sure enough, it was Yijia! We parked exactly as she'd instructed. The young lady then playfully said, 'I just told you all that, and you completely ignored me!' Hahahaha, my apologies!"

For example, the toilet was wobbly, the buttons were hard to press, the shower room was old, and the overhead showerhead splashed water everywhere. I suggest replacing them. The overall bathing experience was extremely poor."

"It’s a great experience to stay in this guesthouse. The owner and his wife are very hospitable and helpful. The shared with me many information on what to do and how to do Stone Forest and Jiuxiang Caves.
They also invited me to drink tea with them and happened that time their friends visited them and we had some nice chit chats together.
The guesthouse is lovely - nice front entrance and a cute little garden at the back which the room opens to.
If you are staying in Shilin, this is a nice guesthouse for your consideration. Very big room - bed is on the hard side (but then I realised this is the case for all the guesthouses and hostels I’ve stayed in China so far). Come with great heater and electric heater for the bed!"

"I visited from Japan. For those considering staying here, please note that this inn is located by the roadside, so you'll hear a lot of noise from trucks and cars. Cars drive by even in the middle of the night, so I personally couldn't sleep well. It was also raining on the day I stayed, and the sound of rain hitting the gutters added to the noise, which was quite exhausting.
Also, just between us, this village isn't very popular, and the inn itself feels a bit eerie. Being someone who is sensitive, I couldn't get to sleep. If you look into its history, you'll understand why.
I hope this review helps. Lastly, the hostess at this inn is a very kind person!"

"Came to Shilin for a business trip and accidentally stayed at the up hotel. The hotel is on the side of the road and has a large parking lot. The room is simple and atmospheric, the facilities are well-equipped, the room is very quiet, I also slept well for the sleep, the front desk service is very intimate, very patient to share the surrounding food and transportation routes for me. Check out also helped to store the luggage, very satisfied with the stay, will come again next time."

"The room had no windows, and the air quality was poor; a fishy smell was noticeable as soon as I entered. A cleaning staff member was nearby, and when I asked if they had disinfectant or air freshener, they just sprayed some floral water on it as a makeshift solution. The bathroom lacked a floor mat, toiletries, and disposable slippers. There were two large, boat-like pairs of plastic slippers in the shower; I don't know if the hotel didn't provide them or if the cleaning staff simply didn't replenish them, but empty boxes were also placed there. The room was generally clean, but there weren't enough hangers, and the sink tended to collect water. The smart toilet was fantastic!"

"Just like in the pictures, the style is alright, rustic yet simple. However, I'm not satisfied with the cleanliness. There was hair on the sink, the toilet wasn't clean, and the rims in the shower area were yellowish. Although they came to clean after I complained, my overall impression of the place is definitely lower. It's okay if the facilities are a little old, but they need to be kept clean."

"We stopped there on our way from Kunming to Yuanyang to split the trip and to enjoy the silver stone forest. Such a good pick we had by choosing the Mijia Inn!
It's located in a quiet neighbourhood close to the silver stone forest entrance (~5km). The rooms are nice, well equipped, clean and the beds comfortable. We even had a balcony with seats to rest in. The common places are also very nice.
There is at least one good restaurant nearby (as we only tried this one), along the main road; and a 7/11 equivalent just facing the house.
The young lady managing the house speaks English; she's very nice and helpful.
Definitely the place to stop when sleeping in Shilin!"

Clean room with nice atmosphere, communal terrace, great air con/heating, and lovely plants at the reception. Good location, a few minutes Didi ride from the Scenic Area. Sympathetic host. Only calm was the shower, the water was eather really hot or really cold, you couldn’t quite set it inbetween. And there is no elevator, but it’s only a few flights of stairs and the host alao helped with the luggages.

The rooms were really thoughtfully designed. We booked three family rooms for our large group, and they even provided disposable toilet seat covers. The towels and slippers were of good quality. The host couple, who relocated from Shenzhen, have created an environment and room details that truly rival a five-star hotel. The bedding was especially excellent – apparently, it was also brought from Shenzhen. The duvets were goose down, light and warm!
The host couple were incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived until we left. They even treated us to some Pu-erh tea. Their professional tea-brewing skills, combined with excellent tea and their hospitality, made us feel right at home!
Book with confidence, the experience is fantastic!

This was by far the BEST accommodation we stayed in China!! We booked two rooms because I'm travelling with my sister and her boyfriend.
Both rooms were extremely clean, the best comfortable beds ever, hot shower, air con, all the toiletries were good quality and the staff were amazing!!!!
They helped us out with everything!! Even though they don't speak English or any other language (like elsewhere in China), they were extremely helpful and we managed to communicate with the translator.
We stayed two nights but we would have loved to stay longer which was not possible because visa's expiring soon.
When we got there, they made us delicious noodles with beef and vegetables and my brother in law is still dreaming to get the same tasty noodles somewhere else in China 😊
We don't know the names of the hosts, maybe they are wife and husband (we are not sure) but surely this was the top accommodation and treatment we have received in China so we would like to thank you two again for everything you have done for us. We are sure your next guests will enjoy their stay at your place just the same as we did.

It’s a lovely and comfortable hotel. Service is extremely nice and helpful, room big and very clean, including bathroom. Situated well, short distance to stone forest and ticket office. We felt there comfortable and welcome.

The location is particularly good, next to Shuanglong Square, convenient transportation, convenient to go anywhere, there are many convenience stores downstairs, and the supermarket pedestrian street is not far away. The room is a suite and the area is not small. You can see the activities of Shuanglong Square on the rooftop upstairs. The rooftop is a dining bar, or other books, very beautiful and very popular. I rarely live in a homestay, generally a hotel, but this is unexpectedly good, and I will stay here again at the Stone Forest Torch Festival. recommend

Location was good in that it was around a lot of shops and stores. Front desk people were helpful in answering any questions that I had. I felt like I didn't have much access to the kitchen in cooking my own stuff. Sometimes I was confused about whether it was okay to eat the food that the chef cooked or those meals were only for guest that paid for it. I appreciate the front desk people for loaning out their phone charger to me on a temporary basis when mine didn't work until I can get a new one.

I drove here from another place because it is close to the Stone Forest Scenic Area. The hotel is an independent garden with a very good environment and very convenient parking. The room is very large and there are several buildings. The breakfast is also very good with many varieties, especially the rice noodles are delicious.

A nice simple hotel for anyone who is looking for a cheap and convenient place to stay. The place is somewhat away from the main road and the nights are really quiet, you can even hear the crickets! The check-in was fast and smooth and the lady at the reception professional and very friendly. The breakfast costs 15¥ and you can eat as much as you want.
