The lady boss is kind-hearted and helpful in suggesting routes and transportation to the ancient village. The kid's shoes came off the glue, and I wanted to ask her where there was a shoe repair place nearby, but the lady boss enthusiastically took out her own shoe repair glue and helped to fix it. The service was exceptional; the butler met us at the village entrance parking lot, helped with our luggage, and even gave us a souvenir when we checked out. The butler's service was just right for me—not overly enthusiastic, but always there when needed. We even got a room upgrade. The room amenities were top-notch, with a disposable bathtub liner and bath salts provided. It was incredibly quiet at night, creating a perfectly sleepy atmosphere. I recommend contacting the butler in advance to get the driver's contact information. This way, the driver can drop you off directly at the parking lot; otherwise, you'll have to take a shuttle bus. Plus, the hotel's partner driver provided excellent service—from the initial contact to arrival at the hotel, everything was seamless and hassle-free. The guesthouse has its own cafe and restaurant, both offering amazing views and delicious food that exceeded expectations."

"The guesthouse is housed in an old Ming and Qing dynasty building that has been passed down for over a dozen generations. It's run by an elderly couple. Because the guesthouse is nestled deep in the mountains, with no restaurants in the village or surrounding area, the elderly couple helps prepare dinner. Breakfast and dinner consist of everyday dishes. The family is very kind and hospitable, providing peaches and watermelon, and even giving us a small bottle of peach gum as a parting gift. It's perfect for people who want to escape the city and experience a sense of seclusion."

"This hotel, converted from a 300-year-old Qing Dynasty rammed earth building, consists of three separate sections: Gejiaoge (lobby/restaurant), Hongshiyuan, and Zhangjiaotang. It beautifully preserves its ancient charm with yellow walls, grey tiles, horse-head walls, courtyards, and mossy stone steps. The rooms are poetically named after Song Dynasty sages, such as 'Jingxing' and 'Huaijin'. Its central location within the village makes it incredibly convenient to visit both the 'Couple Trees' and the observation deck. The butler service is exceptional; they contacted us in advance, met us at the village entrance upon arrival, and helped with our luggage. The breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious. Staying here feels like living out a slow-paced, ancient painting..."

"This was by far the most delightful stay of our trip. Staying in an old house within an ancient village offered a truly unique experience. The old house was incredibly well-preserved, and every decorative detail showcased the owner's thoughtful touches. The room itself was thoughtfully modernized to suit contemporary guests, and yes, it really, really, really had a smart toilet! 🚽 We had dinner at the guesthouse both nights, ordering from the owner. While the prices were a little higher than outside, the ingredients were exquisite, the preparation was refined, and the dining atmosphere was wonderfully atmospheric. The food itself was very satisfying. (I absolutely loved the tofu, which is apparently a local specialty). Also, when you're exploring the village, don't forget to say hello to the local dogs! 🐶 They're all very friendly, and we became good pals with them over our two-day stay."

"I was so happy to book Shanmo Weiyun (山抹微云). I was initially drawn to the name; a guesthouse with such a beautiful name must have good taste. Plus, it's located at the highest point in the village, offering excellent views. The hotel quickly connected me with a concierge group after booking, who meticulously arranged everything for my arrival – very thoughtful! Upon arrival, a handsome butler helped with our luggage, eliminating any worries about hiking. A special thank you to our butler, Atao, who helped us both up and down the mountain. Even though my friend's suitcase was quite heavy, he didn't complain. He even showed us the best spots for nighttime photography upon arrival. I was very satisfied with both the service and the room. I especially want to mention that after the rain, when the temperature dropped, the butler thoughtfully brought sweet soup to our room – a truly heartwarming moment 🫕💞. My only regret is that my stay felt too short. This kind of village isn't for a quick, checklist-style visit; it requires slow, deliberate exploration. There's no hustle and bustle, only the sounds of birdsong and rain. I hope I can come back for a few more days, and I hope Chenjiapu Village doesn't become overdeveloped. I especially love the restaurant seats; the view from the bed is just right, making the meal a unique experience. When it's not crowded, you can sit there for most of the day with just a cup of coffee."
