"A very nice B&B. It was converted from a private duplex villa. It was recently renovated, so it still has a little wooden feel. "I chose this hotel after reading the reviews. It has a good location and is very close to the pier. It is very pleasant to take a walk by Dajin Lake in the evening, watch the sunset and enjoy the breeze. The B&B is very hygienic and spotlessly clean. I feel reassured. We later upgraded to a suite with tatami mats, and our children were particularly satisfied. The boss is enthusiastic and down-to-earth. He thinks about what we want. "Nice hotel, right in the most attractive part of Taining town. It's a few minutes walk from the historic district, right on the river front. Easy access also to get to the natural scenic areas of the region. The hotel itself is nice, clean, well-maintained. The room is spacious and has modern features. The staff is very helpful, they do their best to accommodate a laowai customer. The only critique I have that is true for the vast majority of the hotels in China that the breakfast isn't exactly attractive for foreigners. One can of course eat Chinese breakfast with steamed buns and spicy soups and things like that most of the time, but occasionally I wouldn't mind to have a western style option available too. In a four star hotel I would expect this to be on the menu"
