"I was a bit nervous on my way to the hostel because there was traffic so I wasn't sure if I could get there before check-in closed. So I called them up and the lady on the phone spoke perfect english so it was very easy to communicate, and they were very accommodating of me being late. As soon as I arrived, another member of staff came to help with my bags, and the boss greeted me with friendly words. It was a really nice welcome to the hostel.
The cafe/lounge is nice. I found it quite social. The boss gave me free coffee too 😁 and they were really helpful in the hostel explaining how to get to scenic areas.
The dorm was well air-conditioned. I was given a lockable locker on request. The kitchen is small but has what you need. The bathrooms aren't equipped with soap or toiletries, but I believe you can buy what you need from the hostel. You can also buy detergent to do washing. Location is great, 30min walking distance from bus terminal, and close to liuxing Street area. Kind of an open air courtyard concept in the hostel, not sure what the experience would be like in Winter, but in Summer it was nice."

"The moment I arrived in the courtyard with my luggage, a lady offered me freshly washed mulberries! The front desk staff even helped me with my bags. There are several mulberry trees in the courtyard, with purple, pink, and white mulberries, and the pink ones are the sweetest! The owner is always busy; sweeping and hosing down the courtyard in the mornings (because so many mulberries fall), and making mulberry jam in the afternoons. They are incredibly accommodating! When one of the ladies wanted to play guitar, they immediately took us to borrow one."

"The room was spotless. The owners were incredibly kind, thoughtful, and understanding. I had originally booked two nights, but due to an injury, I had to cancel one. The landlady wasn't upset at all; instead, she showed concern for my injury. The owner even let us try horse meat, and they arranged coffee for us before we left for the train station in the morning. When I needed to ship a child seat back, the landlady was very communicative and responsible throughout the whole process. There's also a complimentary airport shuttle service. The bedding in the room was very comfortable, and the little courtyard was decorated so warmly and cozily. There were many international guests. All in all, it was a very pleasant guesthouse. I'll definitely be back next time!"

"Room facilities: Standard Atour, very comfortable and clean, a pleasure to stay in. Value for money: Although 500+ isn't cheap, it's totally worth it! From the bedding in the room to the service, and even the airport drop-off service – a business van with a really nice driver who helped with luggage – the car was great, a new business model, just needed to book at the front desk. Breakfast was also good, fresh and with good service. All in all, my stay at Atour in Yining was very pleasant, overall excellent, so I'm giving it five stars this time...!"

"I stayed for 8 nights and absolutely loved every moment of it. The room was really clean and comfortable. It had a lot of space (even for me to do yoga in the room), and it had a lot of sunlight. The amount of sunlight was really important for me because I was working for about half the time there and spent a lot of time in the room. The desk made it very convenient for working.
Now for the much more important part - the host was amazing. I was sad to leave because we formed a bond in the short time that we were there. She took us to the local bazaars, treated us to local delicacies, and showed us so much generosity and warmth.
The food at the guesthouse is also amazing. I had many meals there because I was busy working and found all the dishes to be delicious and the portions very generous. I would come back to Yining just for this.
I would be lucky if I had the opportunity to stay here again."

"I chose this newly opened hotel on a whim, and the experience was surprisingly excellent. It's located right next to Liuxing Street, very close by.
Because it's newly opened, the decor is very modern, without any of the stale feel of older hotels. The bedding was clean and hygienic, the toiletries were of good quality, and the Wi-Fi was fast."

"Facilities: Great, seems recently renovated. The bedding is very comfortable. There's also a washing machine, perfect for long-term travelers.
Cleanliness: Excellent, promptly cleaned.
Service: Terrible! We arrived to check in at 7 PM, only to be told at the front desk that our booked room hadn't been cleaned yet and we'd have to wait 30 minutes. I explicitly stated that we had just arrived after a long journey and really wanted to rest, and that a room change would be acceptable (they clearly had other room types available, which I could see online and were even cheaper than what we booked). We also had two large suitcases, but the front desk still refused. I honestly can't understand it, nor do I want to. This is the first time I've encountered a hotel with such service. So, if I book a room with them for a day, I can only check in after 7 PM?!"

Y.yy_27The most perfect hotel for this trip. Because I like to feel the ethnic characteristics, I fell in love with this hotel at first sight. I was a little nervous when booking. From the moment I entered the door, I knew it would be worth the trip. I highly recommend it.
The whole building is like a work of art. As soon as you enter the lobby, you will see pure wool carpets and hand-carved wood. The public area alone is dazzling. The room layout is also very meticulous. The hand-carved big bed is very exquisite, the mattress is super comfortable, and all kinds of furniture and soft furnishings are very attentive. I like to pay attention to the details of the hotel, so the washing and care of Aqua de Parma hits my heart, even the razor is Gillette. The housekeeper is also very considerate, the service is considerate and thoughtful, and the breakfast is also very good. Although there are only four of us in the off-season, the breakfast preparation is also very rich, and the hand-cut beef is great. Every place in the hotel is suitable for taking pictures and checking in. It’s a pity that I didn’t bring my baby this time. I will definitely bring my baby to check in next time. The texture of oil painting is too good. I also gave a souvenir before leaving, and once again felt the hospitality of Xinjiang. In short, it is recommended!

Staying at Atour during my trip was a fantastic experience! The location is superb, within walking distance to all the scenic spots, saving us the hassle of commuting. The overall ambiance is simple and fresh, offering a peaceful retreat despite being in a bustling area. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the bedding was soft and great for sleeping. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, including hot dishes, pastries, and fruits, all of which tasted excellent. The service was attentive and thoughtful. It's incredibly good value for money, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time!

I stayed in the intercontinental for one night and I wish I had more time here. The hotel is new and decorated in a sleek yet exotic fashion. The room is very spacious, with a comfy king sized bed and choices for pillows. Amenities wise, the room is equipped with the usual Blanche line of personal care products (however the hair brush is still quite rubbish...). The view from the room is superb, overlooking the yili river and the small apple lake with the mountains in the background. The executive lounge is dainty and the cocktail hours buffet was delicious (though doesn't have a huge alcoholic choices like some other executive lounges). Sitting in the lounge and watching the sunset over the river was a fantastic experience. The location of the hotel is a bit remote but it is perfect for someone wants to wander around the yili river park and/or do a nice long and peaceful run/bike ride. Gym is small but meets the basic needs (has dumbbells, cross trainer and treadmill but no bar bells or rack). The swimming pool looks fancy and big, makes it ideal for leisure and training.
Lastly, and most importantly, for my stay I truly appreciated the hard working staff here. They have made my already wonderful stay perfect. A big shout out to the concierge team, especially 来存智 Leonard, the concierge supervisor, they have gone out of their way to help me. I wanted to visit some ethnic group bar at mid night and given the distances and lack of taxis, Leonard, together with his team, helped me get to the right place and Leonard personally drove me back from the bar at 3am. I was able to have a great night thanks to him. Upon checking out, I was also given a nice souvenir to mark a perfect stay (unfortunately I left it on the taxi due to rushing!!! To whoever is the next lucky passenger to pick it up: I am jealous!).

Guest UserThis stay far exceeded my expectations! From the warm welcome upon arrival to the thoughtful farewell at check-out, the service was incredibly attentive. The room was spacious and bright, the bedding soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, allowing me to get a rare good night's sleep. The location is superb, with lovely views from the window. The breakfast was varied and delicious, making for a perfect stay. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit this city, and I highly recommend it to all my friends!

Even though I only stayed for one night, the value for money was truly excellent. The location is right inside the Kazanqi scenic area, so it's easy to find by taxi. The front desk lady was very kind and enthusiastic, and even helped me with my luggage. The room was clean, and the comforter and pillows felt brand new. The courtyard is huge and absolutely beautiful. That night, I even joined a mahjong game with some other guests – it was so much fun! I hope to stay longer next time.

Gujinjin8866This guesthouse is a hidden gem in Liuxing Street! The location is fantastic, very close to the Liuxing Street parking lot. The decor has a beautiful Kazakh style, and the owner mentioned that all the exterior woodwork is solid wood, which looks great. Our room had warm and cozy carpets, and since our whole family loves Bohemian style, we really enjoyed it. The owner is super nice and takes great care of the guesthouse; even the room names are taken from poetry. Upon arrival, you can contact the housekeeper who will pick you up and help with your luggage. Breakfast is right next door and features delicious Xinjiang specialties. Highly recommend coming to experience it!

Guest UserVery cozy little courtyard, the boss is very enthusiastic, we arrived very late, around 1am, and waited all the time, slept very well at night, and they also gave us electric mosquito coils, when we woke up in the morning and saw the beautiful scenery in the courtyard, the fatigue from the traffic jam the day before disappeared, there is also a photographer in the courtyard, you can ask the boss, I am very satisfied, it is more natural than the previous one~ I must stay a few more days next time I come to experience life

The hygiene is excellent, and the owner is very warm and friendly. This is my second time visiting Yining, and the people here are genuinely wonderful. The hotel has a washing machine for laundry, and the staff even provided laundry detergent and hangers. The location is easy to find, right at the intersection of the main road in Liuxing Street.

Yining is our favorite city overall. There are fruit trees all around the road. Apple trees, cherry trees, apricot trees, and most importantly, they are all mulberry trees. You can experience the fun of eating mulberries while walking!
The owner of the B&B is really warm and welcoming. The room decoration and design are also very good. The breakfast made by the aunt in the morning is also delicious. The whole small garden is very beautiful!
Also remember to ask the proprietress for tips and recommendations on local restaurants! Don’t go to the so-called internet celebrity check-in spots
