This time I came to Jixian with the object and lived in the Orange Hotel Zhangjiakou Jixian Branch. From the first principle of the hotel, the most important thing about accommodation is not a gimmick, but: can you sleep well, not clean, inconvenient to take a bath, whether the service response is stable, and whether the next day's travel is worry-free. These items are relatively stable overall.
The overall room hygiene is OK, the bedding, floor, bathroom are not obvious problems, belonging to the standards that chain hotels should have. The facilities are also relatively complete. Hot water, air conditioning, lighting, basic supplies can meet the needs of short trips and self-driving overnight. It is not luxurious, but practical. Service attitude is also good, the front desk communication is smooth, check-in and check-out are more direct, there is no extra time to consume.
The relative deduction is the location. If you are driving to Jixian, the problem is not big, parking and access are still convenient; but if you want to cover the core eating, shopping, and attractions by walking, its location is not so absolute, you need to take a taxi or drive to connect. So the location I will give to the general, not the disadvantage is particularly large, but it is not the biggest selling point of this store.
Overall, this is more suitable: couples short trips, self-driving Jixian, returning to Beijing the next day or continuing to drive. It is not the kind of hotel with a special holiday feeling, but it is stable, clean and efficient. As a one-night transit accommodation in Jixian, I think it is an acceptable and willing to recommend the choice.

The place was renovated in an authentic way that feels original and several elements look very old. Definitely would return if we are back in the area. The Edelweiss Avenue at the entrance of the hotel is a big road, often passing large cars, the hotel is at the intersection, parking is very convenient. The hotel is very new, the family room, gave the room on the first floor, just went in and felt a little tide, after opening the window to ventilate, it was very cold at night, maybe because it was on the dark side, the outside was quite warm, but I still turned on the air conditioner in the house. Last week I was originally planning to go to Chengde, but a friend suggested visiting Nuanquan Ancient Town in Weixian County. Although it was a bit hot during the day, the temperature dropped to around 20 degrees Celsius after sunset, and a gentle breeze made it very pleasant. Evenings were comfortable without air conditioning – a true summer retreat!
What I liked most was the Gubao Boyuan Guesthouse: the courtyard retains the original traditional courtyard layout, with blue bricks and red tiles, simple and elegant; the pavilions are beautiful, exuding a timeless charm; the rooms have both modern technology and a strong sense of home, showcasing individual taste – I loved it! 👍👍 It's also worth mentioning the owners, a very warm and thoughtful couple. They picked us up and dropped us off, even buying us discounted performance tickets and letting us sample Weixian's famous fried yellow cake for free…so heartwarming! 🥰🥰
Hehe…a very pleasant trip! I'll definitely stay at this guesthouse again next time I bring my family! Here, I experienced: technology and life going hand in hand, tradition and modernity in harmony. 🌹🌹
