"Wonderful service - guard and porter at the front, efficient front desk, upgraded to a Nile room. Pool side was great with a view of the Nile, plenty of chairs and fresh towels,  although bar staff sometimes a little slow on drink and food refills this could be forgiven Buffet breakfast had a good selection including eggs made to order, staff very attentive Dinner selection was OK but again great service "

"On Koh Chang, you need to take a public ferry, which costs 15 Egyptian pounds per trip. The house is about 50 meters from the pier, so it's quite convenient. The balcony offers views of the Nile River, and there's also a rooftop area. The owner was very responsive in contacting me. Overall, it was a good experience."

"The guesthouse is located in a Nubian village (west bank of the Nile). The village roads are narrow and winding, so be careful when driving around corners, especially if you're a minivan. Locals often use tuk-tuks for transportation. The guesthouse owner and all the staff were incredibly kind and friendly ❤️ Most importantly, their kindness didn't lead to any annoying tipping requests, making us genuinely grateful 🙏 These were the two most memorable and heartwarming nights of our trip to Egypt. Although the guesthouse doesn't have an elevator, the owner carried all our luggage without any worries 😆 Also, the higher the floor, the newer the room amenities 🤣 We booked the same room type, and while some in our group stayed on the first floor, others on the third. The third-floor room was the largest, with the biggest bathtub! Furthermore, the restaurant on the rooftop offers reasonably priced food, and the flavors are very much to ********* tastes, though not too salty. Egyptian food is generally quite salty, making it difficult to eat much. I highly recommend trying the beef sauce pasta, fried fish, and stuffed pigeon at the rooftop restaurant! The rooftop was very chill and perfect for relaxing (unfortunately, it was still quite hot in Aswan in mid-October, around 34 degrees Celsius; staying in the air-conditioned room was much more comfortable). Disadvantages: There was a water outage the second morning, making washing up a bit inconvenient. The restaurant's food preparation time was a bit long, so you need to be patient; ordering in advance is recommended. Breakfast: Since we needed to get to Abu Simbel very early, we asked the guesthouse to prepare breakfast to go. They gave us a large bag containing two pieces of bread, a bottle of water, and a bottle of juice. The next day, when we finally had time to eat it, we found the breakfast to be plentiful and delicious! They even gave us a small gift before we left—it was truly a very welcoming place! I would definitely come back to stay here again if I had the chance! Thank you to the owner and all the kind and friendly staff!"

"The hotel is not as good as expected. There’s no Nile view from our room, located at 2nd floor nor from the restaurant, so we didn’t see Nile from the hotel at all. The service didn’t make us feel welcomed. The receptionist didn’t say hello or welcome, and looked impatient. When we asked if the hotel has first aid kit, as my husband was scratched by a cat and needed sanitary treatment, the receptionist just directly said “No”, although he promised to check and came back to us, he didn’t… The room is good but the bathroom is quite old and the AC heat function didn’t work - it’s just around 8 degree during night in Aswan."

"It is located in Nubian Village on the Nile River. You can travel to and from the main island by public ferry for 10 Egyptian pounds. It seems that they offer a free ferry at any time for check-in and check-out. Also, Baky, who helped us, was quick to respond and very helpful! We were able to ask anything and he was flexible, so we had no trouble staying there. Also, unlike the main island, the people in Nubian Village don't tout, and the children are adorable, so it was a really relaxing place. Please come and visit."

"We really loved this beautiful, authentic hotel. The manager was wonderful and assisted us with everything we needed. He arranged a transfer to the Abu Simbel Temple. Since we had a very early departure, he kindly provided us with a takeaway breakfast and also prepared it for us an hour earlier on the day of our flight. We are very grateful for this. About the hotel: This is a historic building that belonged to a Nubian family. In the 1960s, it was converted into a hotel. The restaurant in the lounge area offers a wonderful view of the Nile. Across the street is a path lined with souvenir shops. We also had a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant. The most important thing is the quiet room. You can relax and sleep wonderfully. We initially stayed in a very cozy and lovely two-story room (bed on the second floor, bath downstairs), but it was very hot and stuffy at night, and the air conditioner vibrated loudly when running, making it difficult to sleep, so we had to turn it off that night. We then moved to another room, which consisted of two areas—a lobby and a bedroom. It was very spacious and cool. In the area, you can rent a kayak or boat, buy a boat ticket, cruise down the Nile, visit a crocodile farm, or go camel riding. Overall, we really enjoyed it. It was one of the few places where it was truly cozy, peaceful, and quiet. We want to come back again."

"Absolutely a five-star review! Located diagonally opposite the Old Falls Hotel, the terrace offers stunning views, and the owner is incredibly friendly and responsible! Two things stand out: First, around 2 AM, I texted the owner to arrange a ferry to the other side at 3 AM, and he replied within two minutes, having already made arrangements! Second, my sister left her pearl necklace on the public terrace while enjoying the Nile River view the previous evening, and the next morning we found it neatly arranged! Truly honest and kind! The following evening, we witnessed a local Luwak wedding – a joyous and authentic traditional experience, a delightful surprise!"

"I booked it temporarily because of the change in the itinerary. Tolip is a chain of five-star hotels in Egypt. Although the decoration style and facilities are relatively old, it is already considered good in the local area. The price is also very cost-effective. There are rooms with Nile views. It is only a one-minute walk away. It is very good."

"The check-in process became a bit unpleasant as their stated policies did not match what was written in our trip.com booking confirmation. This included check-in time and number of guests for the room. We included our children and even had their ages listed in the confirmation. Upon check-in we were told that it was only a room for two adults. We were then instructed to pay extra for one child. Policies should be conveyed clearly when booking so we can know what to expect. Otherwise, the room had a beautiful view and the kids enjoyed the large pool. The breakfast buffet had a great selection."

"It’s a 2 sided coin with this hotel, some positives and some negatives in all areas. Location is very close to the Nile river and train station which is convenient but the balcony of our hotel room looked out on some garbage tipping sights that were always crazy busy with construction, wild dogs barking, and Islamic prayers blaring from speakers until the early hours. The service at reception was okay depending on who was there at the time and they did organise the trip to Abu Simbel on a day’s notice. The wifi never worked but the room was clean and comfortable enough. Overall, not bad price for the room - reconsider using if you have trouble sleeping with loud noises or need wifi."
