"This is an apartment-style hotel, so you can easily prepare simple meals. There's a Korean supermarket nearby, making it convenient for self-catering. While the location and price are both great, it can be very noisy. I wouldn't recommend it for light sleepers or anyone sensitive to noise."

The Ibis Santa Coloma is the hotel equivalent of a reliable Honda Civic: it’s not flashy, but it gets the job done comfortably and leaves you with gas money (or in this case, tapas money). The Highlights: • The ”Sweet Bed”: I don't know what kind of wizardry Ibis puts in their mattresses, but these beds are surprisingly like sleeping on a marshmallow. After walking 20,000 steps in the city, you will pass out instantly. 😴 • The Commute (Adventure Time): You aren't in Barcelona, you're in the 'burbs. But! The Singuerlín Metro station (L9) is just a short walk away. It’s a clean, futuristic driverless train that zips you into the city. Just bring a playlist or a podcast for the 25-minute ride. 🎧 • No ”Surprises”: It’s an Ibis. You know exactly what you’re getting: orange decor, a clean bathroom, and a decent breakfast buffet. No ******* antique furniture or questionable plumbing here. • Local Prices: The bars and cafes around the hotel are for locals, meaning you can get a coffee and a croissant for half the price of the tourist traps downtown. ☕"

"I recently stayed at Sercotel Hotel Rosellón and had a mixed experience. The location is definitely a highlight—it’s just a short walk to the Sagrada Familia, which makes it very convenient for sightseeing. The surrounding area is also easy to navigate, with access to public transportation nearby. However, the maintenance of the hotel needs improvement. On our very first night, the bathroom lavatory was already clogged the first time we used it. The bathroom tiles also had visible mold, which was quite disappointing and affected the overall cleanliness impression. Another downside is the room temperature control. Guests cannot adjust it themselves since it’s centrally managed. During our stay, I woke up sweating on two separate nights, which made it quite uncomfortable. The breakfast was just okay—very basic, with limited choices and the same selection every day. The only standout for me was the freshly squeezed orange juice, which was a nice touch. We also tried the rooftop bar, mainly for the view of the Sagrada Familia, which is indeed beautiful. Unfortunately, the food did not match the view. The nachos were bland, and the burgers were not enjoyable. Overall, while the location is excellent, I personally find this hotel overrated. If you’re planning to explore more of Barcelona, I would recommend considering other accommodations, as the city is very accessible by bus and metro anyway."

"It was simple, but clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The sink was a little high, so shorter guests might find it difficult to wash their face. I stayed for four nights and had no problems. It was also easily accessible, with the subway station just one minute away, which takes you directly to Sagrada Familia and Passeig de Gracia, making it perfect for sightseeing. I would definitely stay here again if I go to Spain again!"

"I always stay at this hotel when I'm in Barcelona. It's super convenient with the metro and train stations just downstairs, about 100 and 200 meters away respectively. You can get to all the sights and the airport really easily. It's in a proper residential area, and while it might not look as upscale as the Eixample, it feels very safe. There are delicious family-run restaurants nearby, a breakfast spot downstairs (cheaper than the hotel!), and a convenience store. The hotel itself is quite traditional; not super new in terms of decor, but very clean, and the hot water works great. What's really important is that normally in Europe, if you're changing rooms, you can't move your luggage in early and have to repack everything and wait until check-in time. But here, if you just tell the front desk, you can move your bags into the new room the next day – it's brilliant! There's also a small rooftop pool with a pretty nice view. Highly recommend it, ladies! The pictures show the hotel room, the breakfast place downstairs, and a nearby family restaurant (so good 😋)."

"This was my first time in Barcelona, and since I wasn't familiar with the area, I specifically booked a place near a metro station. I initially thought it was a bit far from Sagrada Familia, but now I just see it as a beautiful experience. I really liked it here. The guesthouse has an elevator, a lounge area, a water dispenser, a fridge, and a microwave. Although the bathroom and toilet are shared, they are clean and tidy, and all the facilities are complete and well-maintained. Downstairs, there are local eateries, a popular bakery with queues, Turkish wraps, coffee shops, and convenience stores... Most importantly, the metro entrance is right downstairs, and all the attractions are just a few stops away. Finally, I have to praise the front desk staff; they were all very sincere and provided excellent service, always greeting us warmly when we came and went ^^. I had a very pleasant three-day stay. I came based on reviews, and my stay truly confirmed the great ratings!"

"Facilities: The shower design is truly something else. When I walked in, I noticed the wooden floor was already warped. Sure enough, after a shower, water flooded everywhere. Everything overflowed. It would have been a disaster if I had left my luggage nearby. Also, previous reviews mentioned the hotel provided slippers and disposable toothbrushes. We stayed in February 2026 and only found slippers. We asked the front desk, and they said toothbrushes weren't provided. However, on our third day, they suddenly left disposable toothbrushes for us, so I'm a bit confused about whether they actually offer them or not. On a positive note, the hotel offers two free bottles of mineral water daily, which is a rare and welcome perk in European hotels. Location: The hotel is very close to Casa Batlló and Casa Milà, both within walking distance. Sagrada Família isn't far either. While the hotel's proximity to the metro is convenient, we often felt vibrations, which was a minor inconvenience. Our room didn't have any pillars, but it was street-facing, and you could see into the room from the street at night. Housekeeping efficiency was a bit inconsistent; we requested cleaning before heading to Casa Milà in the morning, but by 3 PM, our room still hadn't been cleaned. The next day, it seemed back to normal. Overall, though, the experience was quite good. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic, and there's a parking garage nearby."

"Being a solo female traveller, I was worried on the location as it was a little bit out of the main tourist spots however, I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. Right from the moment I arrived, I was greeted with such warmth and that set the tone for my entire stay. Every single person I encountered was lovely. It’s also not as busy as the city centre and I felt safe walking around at night. The train station was literally steps from the hotel which massively helped. And to top it off, cleanliness was 10/10."

"I was disappointed with the service at the front desk. During check-in, the staff’s attitude towards me and my elderly mother felt dismissive and unwelcoming. We couldn’t help but feel that we were being treated differently especially from the young lady named started with Lxxxx as I couldn’t fully recalled. I travelled to Europe for a few times and this was my first encounter of feeling such bad experience and totally spoilt my entire mood of my travel journey of the day. That said, the hotel’s cleanliness and amenities were excellent. The room was well-maintained and facilities were very good. I hope management can address the service standards at the front desk, as it does not reflect the otherwise high quality of the hotel"
