"I stayed here for one night during a trip to Ise-Shima.
Since I was traveling by train, I used the free shuttle service to Kintetsu Ugata Station. The departure was on time and the service was very courteous.
[Good Points]
① Large public bath (open until midnight, morning bath available from 5am. Free popsicles after bathing, choose from four flavors)
② Ample amenities (POLA lotion, milky lotion, razors, toothbrushes, combs, etc. - pick up what you need from the counter in front of the reception desk)
③ Free room wear (can be worn anywhere in the hotel)
④ Delicious and substantial breakfast (enjoy home-cooked meals made with local ingredients. In addition to specialty dishes like Ise udon and tonteki, there was also curry and yakisoba. There was also a wide variety of desserts and drinks, and the yogurt and smoothies were especially delicious)
⑤ Spacious and spacious guest rooms (The interior has a unique atmosphere, and the appliances and furnishings are a bit dated, but the beds are spacious, and the value for money is excellent, especially for a night's sleep.)
⑥ The service was good (there was a free-flowing coffee machine, water dispenser, tourist information pamphlets, etc. near the reception desk. The staff was also friendly and efficient, especially during breakfast.)
[Areas for Improvement]
1. I was concerned about whether the slippers allowed to be worn inside the hotel had been disinfected. It would be reassuring if there was a sign indicating this. (I was reluctant to wear slippers directly on my feet, so I wore socks over them throughout the stay.)
2. There was a thin layer of dust on the wall above the bed (the side of the room), so it might be a good idea to wipe the wall down about once a month.
[Advice for Future Guests]
When using the large public bath, you will need to walk on carpet from the slipper area at the entrance to the changing room. If you are uncomfortable walking barefoot, it may be a good idea to wear socks or bring your own.
We checked in on Sunday and checked out on Monday, and the stay for two people, including breakfast, was less than 9,000 yen, which was a great deal.
Access is not the best, but I would definitely stay here again at this price range."
