Hotels near Palatium Magnaura, Istanbul

Very new, stylish (modern), clean hotel that exceeded my expectations, especial given the price. It’s within three blocks of Hagia Sophia! Very comfortable and very friendly staff. There is a great rooftop restaurant, with spectacular view of the water.

The hotel is in the old town. All the hotels in this article are small family hotels with no more than 20 rooms. The decoration of the rooms is relatively old and there are balconies on the top floors. However, the service is relatively good, with various lines and hotel pick-up and drop-off. travel items. The hotel is a 3-minute walk from aya Sophia and also very close to the blue mosque. If you take the subway there, there is a long stretch of stone pavement, so those who are concerned about suitcases should be careful. The food downstairs is heavily solicited and prices are generally on the expensive side.

Perfect location in the old town of Sultanahmet. To the main attractions Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace you walk in 10/15 minute. Down to the seaside with a park and a walkway along the shore in 7 minutes. This small hotel is in a narrow sidestreet with little traffic. Rooms are a bit small buit nicely furnished and they are clean. Some with balcony facing the sea or terrace. Double glas windows to prevent the noise of the main steet below the hotel which is on the hillside. Good breakfast with a great variety and excellent view on the roof top. Keep in mind that this is the main tourist area of Istanbul where everything is expensive. There are many Restaurants in this place but you hardly find a breakfast for less than 10 Dollars. So all in all the Seatanbul is very good value for money. Mr. Kayhan at the reception speaks perfct english and is a very friendly and helpfull man. I highly can recommend this place.

The best , the staff is professional and kind very good people ,the breakfast was amazing the rooms are small but fancy ,clean and very nice. I have a very good experience in hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful . Specially front desk Elver and Mahmut. Next time when I will visit Istanbul , I will stay hotel My dream Istanbul hotel . Also they serve very good breakfast, on up floor with beautiful views on city and sea.

I stayed here in February 2020 for 4 nights together with a friend. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is very clean. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk away from the nearest sightseeing places located in the historic part of the city. Even nearer to the hotel there are groceryshops, bars, parks and restaurants. Keeping in mind the little money you pay for your stay, you can't really complain. Eventhough, I'd like to see some changes. Since the bathroom is really small, the whole bathroom actually is the shower. Everything gets wet, so there's not really a good place to leave your towel and cloths which you obviously want to keep dry. Maybe a few hooks or hanging baskets will be a good addition. There was 1 hook though, but it was very small and broken. (see picture of toilet, there a small cabinet next so the width is about 1,20 M en the same goes for the depth. The shower is on the right wall, infront of the cabinet) It also takes a very long time for the bathroom to dry. The water isn't stopped bij a small shower edge or something and theres nothing to wipe the water with, which left us with only one option: Shower in the evenings and leave the window in the bathroom open so it will be dry by the time it's morning. Not idealic at all, considering we where staying here during the winter. Also we had to share a socket during the night to charge our phones. It would be great if there were more of them. These are all small 'complaints' so it's not too bad. Especially for the money you pay. There's one thing left I'd like to warn you for: the sounds. The hotel is very noisy. You can hear other people very well and unfortunatly we had some people staying in the hotel that didn't take this into account. Because of the noisyness, you'll also be able to hear the mosques very loudly in the early mornings, so if you don't want to, bring some earplugs. Despite of the few negatives, I myself would stay here again and so would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a cheap hotel near the old city centre.

Perfect stay in central of istanbul. Walking distance to Taksim and Galata Tower. Sishane metro and Tophane tram station are also nearby. Room was clean. The only thing we need maybe an electric kettle inside the room to make tea and coffee. And also more variety in the breakfast

Ξενοδοχείο στη πλατεία Ταξίμ , σε τοποθεσία που εξυπηρετεί τις μετακινήσεις στο κέντρο της πόλης και βρίσκεις πολλά μαγαζιά και εστιατόρια. Δωμάτια χωρίς καθόλου θέα και με πολύ θόρυβο από το δρόμο. Το πρωϊνό φτωχό, μόνο η θέα από την αίθουσα του πρωϊνού αξίζει.

The location of the hotel is a ”5”. It was late check-in. Everything went well. The room is clean. The window faced the courtyard, so it was quiet in the morning. There is an elevator.
