鹿児島市内、繁華街ど真ん中にあるかごしまプラザホテル天文館です。 連休中でしたが、物凄く安く宿泊できました。 シングル禁煙(12平米)です。 部屋は機能的でwifiのつながり良かったです。 ロビー無料でコーヒーや紅茶等のドリンク頂けます。 アルコール消毒も各フロアに設置してあり安心でした。

The rooms are not very spacious. There is a simple desk, but it is a chair without a backrest. There is a small refrigerator, but it is not very good at cooling drinks, so I don't think it will be useful in the summer. I stayed here on a business trip, so it is fine if you only use it to sleep.

The hotel is a short distance from the Shinkansen station,( trolley stop N11). Take the trolley to N8 . The breakfast was very good and the burgers are great for lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Waki, who was a great help for me applying for a visa.

Except for the compact room, everything else is satisfactory. The breakfast is very good, the hot spring is also good, there is a round-trip bus from the hotel to Kagoshima Central, the hotel departure time is 20 minutes and 50 minutes every hour, and the departure time from Kagoshima Central West Exit to the hotel is also 20 minutes and 50 minutes every hour. The shuttle bus starts at 6 am and ends at 10 pm. The hotel is worth experiencing!

The Sherton Hotel in Kagoshima was an absolute gem of a hotel! This is our first visit to Japan, and we are admittedly nervous about the language barrier and cultural change from the US. From the moment we checked in, the staff has bent over backwards to make sure we are comfortable and have done a fantastic job to make this stay completely comfortable and enjoyable. The location is perfect right at the center of downtown Kagoshima, and the rooms, restaurants, and common spaces have more in common with a Four Seasons than with what is standard Sheraton in the US. We were not able to take advantage of the spa, but the Onsen (Hot Springs Sauna) was so relaxing and rejuvenating — especially after 26 hours of flights to get here! HIGHLY recommended. Thank you to the staff that has helped make our 4 days in Kagoshima a memorable experience! Now off to Hiroshima!

It locates near the bus terminal and Kagoshima Chuo Station, there is a Lawson at G/F. Airport bus can stop at the entrance of the hotel. It is very convenient for travelers. The room is cozy but not very spacious, though it is a good choice for short stay for several nights.

Since I used JAL's dynamic package, it is a little difficult to think about the cost performance only by the inn fee, but I should have stayed with meals and stayed at this price with a set of planes. There is a bus terminal in Kamoike Port 300 meters away, and there are many taxis (the hotel can help call, and the taxi to the city center is 2200 yen). I stayed in an ocean view twin room on the 5th floor for one night from June 10th (Saturday). Unfortunately, due to the rain, we were unable to do the ocean SUP that we had planned. This hotel, Sekisui House, is located next to a roadside station and has been opened all over the country for the purpose of revitalizing and interacting with local communities, and Marriott is responsible for its operation. It is a complete ”hotel specializing in lodging,” and meals and activities are provided at nearby local facilities. As it is run by Marriott, the rooms were clean and functionally laid out, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Also, the view of Kinko Bay from the room was wonderful, and there was a beautiful beach right in front of me, so I thought it was a perfect location for swimming in the summer. However, there is no bathtub, and there are no hot spring facilities at the adjacent roadside station, so as a Japanese person who prefers bathtubs, I feel a little unsatisfied. The multipurpose lounge on the first floor was very calm, well-designed, and very comfortable. Here, they provided free services such as coffee and miso soup, as well as a microwave and toaster, all of which were of good quality. It can be made of paper, so I think it will be easier to use if you have cutlery such as plates, spoons, and chopsticks. There's also a coin laundry and a small market space, which I felt was put into place with a lot of thought. I think the issue is the negative relationship between the local community and the hotel. I thought that the area would automatically be revitalized by the establishment of a hotel, and I felt that hotels were leaving all aspects of the area to the area, and there was not much cooperation between them. We felt that there was a need for both parties to work together, such as creating new ways to highlight the best aspects of the area to guests.

By the way, according to my husband, it is wise to refrain from using the men's open-air bath during bright hours. For the dishes, I asked for a black pork shabu-shabu with a cup of Izo Mori. We had a relaxing meal in a corner space that can be used by 8 adults in the digging ceremony. The content is so rich that I can't eat it, and I'm very satisfied with the amount of main pork that I think there will be 2 ～ 3 servings in Tokyo. The next morning's Japanese food was not a buffet, so I was able to relax and relax at the set, and I was able to take out coffee on my way home.
