Rodos Palladium Leisure & Wellness

We arrived in the early hours and was shown to room 6205, this was a depressing room at the side of the building with limited sea view and overlooking a dumping ground of pallets and the neighbouring water park, bearing in mind that we had spent 6000 Euro on this holiday we were expecting a sea and pool view like the one we had last year. Next morning we asked the receptionist called Eva to change our room for one where we didn't have to share the scruffy bathroom with mildew, she started to argue and make excuses until a young man with glasses intervened and said to come back in an hour to see a Supervisor, an hour goes by and still no Supervisor so we asked to see a Manager and again we were told to call back in an hour or so. Thanks to the Duty Manager after expressing his concerns he then promptly and courteously arranged to relocate us after he was aware on the amount we had paid for two rooms. Sadly some of the new staff this season were miserable and unhappy looking for some reason, lots of tables were not laid ready for mealtimes, some even had dirty knives and forks from the previous guests who sat there, also far too many were reserved and this made it difficult to find a table for four. There does seem to be a culture among some of the waiters and waitresses that prompt preferential treatment is paid to those guests with the biggest tipping wallet which then determines the quality and a regular table service at evening meals. We were aware that throughout Eva the receptionist was making comments and laughing with other staff about us every time we walked through the reception area, we chose to ignore this and spare her any wrath as we didn't want to spoil our holiday. Finally because we were here last year we have noticed a decline in the cosmetics of the site meaning that the hotel is looking tired in some areas and the company needs to up their game if they are to compete with other operators in the area. We did enjoy our time despite some disappointing expectations at first but regrettably if we do decide to return to Rhodes I don't think it will be at the Rodos Palladium.

The Hotel was amazing. The staff and facilities are awesome. The only difficulty is getting over the stones on the beach to get into the Mediterranean I thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Happy to recommend this Hotel. Our bedroom overlooked both the pools and the sea.

I think it’s the best solution there, between Rhodos and Faliraki. Definetely it was the best place, where I spent my holiday. It was all perfect, service, very professional team, food, room. The sea view is stunning. The beach is at your disposal otherwise you can use a very large swimming pool. The sea is calm and very clean as well as the beach. Here you find some stones but are not that much and I find them in that nature quite fascinating. I am definetely satisfied with the food at the breakfast and dinner (I chose both options) by the way there is also another restaurant where it’s offered another menu (not included). You can also rent a car by them, which was for me a very nice comfort (I would reccomend it because public transports are not that good and taxi is not that cheap). We will surely come back.

Decent breakfast. Friendly staff. Nice sea view. Clean hotel. Old fashioned hotel. Outdated queuing systems for dinner. Uncook prawn pasta at the pool restaurant which unfortunately gave me gastroenteritis. 3/5
