Hipostel Bir - Stay and Cafe

The place is just perfect if you are with family or friends to chill. Great view of the takeoff site from the cafe, large open space, bonfire and much more. The hosts are amazing too. Don’t miss to meet the little doll Timtim there. She is a wonder who will cheer you up.

It is my go to place in Bir. It is quite close to the bus stop and the market. The views are amazing from the rooms. I especially look forward to the bonfire in winters. Alaknanda is wonderful host and makes sure everyone has a good time. Recommend, recommend:)

The Pasta if great ! Definitely should be on bucket list of everyone especially around the musical festival. Been here with my friends and did paragliding. The second highest of the world. A must adventure.

There are some places where you travel and there are some places where you stay but if you get a place where you feel like your own studio where you can do whatever you feel like doing Hipostel is that place staff and owners are super friendly, and I have seen them going out of their ways to help fellow travellers, from picking them up from landing site when you get too drunk to tucking you in in your bed. There is always something happening, in Tim Tim's cafe every night, you might end up spending the whole night singing your lungs out. I highly suggest any one reading this review, Do visit Hipostel and say Hello to Kapil, Alak and Tim Tim.

I stayed here for a week and my experience here in short was I felt like home here. Location wise, they are in Chougan which is between Bir and Bir road but well placed that you can alight at Chougan chowk from both private and public buses and walk to the property. You can get bikes, scooty for rent from a place just beside them. Dorms are clean and well placed. It is an ideal location for workation because they dont charge a bomb for dorms and for food. I went around Bir searched for different places to stay but ended up staying here because they have lots of open space. A good place to bask in the morning sun. Alakhnanda is such a wonderful host and fun person to talk to. Her life story is worth hearing and in a way motivating. Food is quality and affordable as well. They give Davidoff coffee for the same price others give Nescafe Classic. Any dish you take will make you full for sure. No compromise on quantity and quality. I liked the burgers here. They taste like McAloo tikki made at home. There are people living here for months. That says something about how welcoming this place is. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a long or a short stay. Worth visiting again.

I visited bir and stayed at hipostel on 30th and 31st of October. The rural hippie stay is an absolute vibe! It is one of the very unusual and cool places I’ve ever stayed at. The decor of the whole place in itself can make you feel vibrant. It’s a total riot of colors Which is adding a different spark to the whole place. In terms of the comfort and food, I stayed in one of their rooms and had a very comfortable stay. For food they have a restaurant where one can go and order anything. I loved the North Indian food there and dal makhni and Puri bhaaji were my absolute favourite. And yes coffee,❤️ The staff is very friendly and the host Kapil is a very genuine and witty person. He helped us with a lot of information we required on our trip and also organised the paragliding for us with XOLIDAYS (Instagram - @xolidays) which was a safe and an out of this world experience. The evening vibe at hipostel is something. First, you can't miss the 360 degrees view from the terrace and the most beautiful sunsets. Second, There are some great singers and musicians jamming live most of the time which can make your stay very enjoyable. I used to stay up late sitting in the balconies simply drowning in the melodious tunes. All In all, I was greatly happy choosing hipostel. It’s a very AFFORDABLE choice for us youngsters with total comfort and entertainment when you’re at the stay. Also, very approachable and connected location, very close to the paragliding landing site. So I highly recommend it!
