The whole place is very clean. The pools, toilets, restaurants, streets, cabins, all spotless. Or at least they appear so. We stayed in Lion Heart with a whirlpool - the bunkbeds weren't ideal for the teens, and their room was very hot, but there was enough space for 2 adults & 2 teens (13 & 15) Trying to get a taxi out of the resort was a bit of a hit or miss - one day we got one straight away, the second time we waited 40 minutes. Our room was cleaned every day - even when the 'do not disturb' sign was on. This wasn't a problem, just thought I was saving the staff a job. The mini bar top-up was included - 2 soft drinks & 2 beers. 4 soft drinks would have been preferable. Or water. The lodge kitchen was pointless. There were no utensils or cooking equipment. Also, 2 cups for a lodge that sleeps 4? Microwave, but no plates to reheat anything on? Kettle, but no plug socket beside it? One night, I reheated 3 slices of pizza on a saucer, and the kettle had to get plugged in behind the bedroom door. Again, it was fine, just a wee irk. The majority of staff are pleasant - the life guard at Locksley's Lagoon was especially kind/approachable. A few of the pool bar staff were abrupt. Lionheart restaurant staff were lovely. The slides were great, staff on them were friendly, and they felt safe/clean. Some parts of the pool are very deep. Wouldn't bother buying big floats. They're only allowed in a tiny part of the main pool - we brought some with us but didn't use them There's always sunbed/balinese beds/chairs/tables available. We never had a problem getting a seat anywhere. Locksley's Lagoon was our favourite of the 2 pools. We were turned away from Golden Arrow one breakfast time because we were 'premium', and they were busy! That annoyed me. Lion Heart Restaurant was dark, and the waiting staff served the drinks - in the Golden Arrow, they're self service, I don't know why the premium area isn't the same. The medieval show was good, but it felt like they were selling stuff every five minutes, though - photos, keyring, lights, crossbows, flower crowns. Husband enjoyed the food, the rest of us didn't and we're not a particularly fussy eaters. We missed the Micheal Jackson show because we, well I, assumed it was at Lady Marian's. It wasn't. It was at the pool. I don't think the app was very clear. Assuming it was cancelled, we watched a woman spin from a hook attached to her scalp. New fear unlocked. I was glad we weren't staying in Sherwood, it smelt awful when we passed. Probably drains and unavoidable but I wouldn't have been able to stay the week there. Loved the plastic cups, great idea! Cocktails were pleasant, beer was cold and the spirits strong. Teens enjoyed the slushes, milkshakes, kebabs, waffles and ice cream from the food trucks. We did the spa too, it was fine. Clean, spacious, good to spend half an hour out of the sun. €5 each for a hygiene kit - flip flops and swim caps (yes, even for my bald husband) If we had paid £50
