Plus: under 10 minute walk to Manchester Piccadilly train station. Convenient location with bus stops right outside the hotel. Check in was really easy. Outside of hotel looks right out of an old movie, really pretty — plus the corridor on entry. See attached photos.
Cons: the room is dated, expected for an old hotel. You get what you pay for I guess. The most terrible thing was the extra blanket they provided smelled really bad - like a wet carpet or dog that has dried up on its own and retained that most terrible smell. I slept without the blanket and chose to get cold rather because of that smell.

Good Hotel for the value. I was satisfied with the comfort of the bed and the room in general. The shower was also nice and new. The room didn’t have tea/coffee but they were available at the floor just by the elevator. The only problem for me was the cleanliness. The room wasn’t super clean. As shown in the photos there were dust piled in the corners and crevices but not in the degree that would make you uncomfortable. A nice stay overall.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend and we were delighted! The rooms are well-appointed, bright, and beautifully decorated, as was the bathroom. The bedding is perfect, with king-size mattresses and immaculate white linens: we slept very well! It's also worth noting that despite the location in the heart of the city, we weren't bothered by noise because the rooms are perfectly soundproofed.
A special mention goes to the housekeeping staff: the room was perfectly clean. Nothing to complain about except thank you for your excellent work.
Finally, a huge plus: the location.
We visited everything on foot, without even taking the tram! You're close to everything: bars, restaurants, shops, and major cultural attractions.
I would definitely come back! Thank you for these wonderful services.

The location is great, very close to Chinatown and the Manchester Art Gallery, making it convenient for dining. I stayed here in mid-December for my graduation ceremony. The exterior walls were under maintenance with scaffolding up. It was also right before Christmas, so prices were quite high. Last year, I came at the end of December, and the hotel was much cheaper, probably past its peak season. I forgot to take photos, but compared to the Midland where I stayed last time, the value for money is pretty good, and it includes breakfast, though it's quite basic.

The location is very good. There are McDonald's and tesco around to solve three meals a day, and the surrounding environment is quite good; slightly smaller than domestic hotel rooms; no air conditioning but equipped with a small fan; There is a desk but the area is small and there are fans and coffee tea bags and cups piled up, so there is basically no office space. If it is a domestic hotel, it can give 3 stars or even less, but compared with other British and Japanese hotels I have been to, it can get close to 4 stars.

My mom and I really enjoyed staying in this hotel. The location is perfect, which is actually in the city center. It is close to Victoria train station, Piccadilly station, tram and Piccadilly garden bus station. So you can go everywhere in an easy way.
The room is clean, comfortable, warm and quiet, with hot water and high speed free wifi. The reception staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed quite an amazing journey here.

Warm welcome and cookies from the reception team.
Great location, near canal street, china town and Piccadilly train station
Breakfast was a little disappointing on this occasion. The hot items were warm at best and a bit hard from being left under the heat/ lights. Staff in the restaurant could be friendlier.
What better setting for Premier Inn's new generation bedrooms than the ultra-modern district of Spinningfields? Featuring a 40" flat screen TV, brand new, slumber-inducing Hypnos beds, your room is just as appealing as the city! Shop for designer goodies at The Avenue, have a bite to eat at one of the many nearby restaurants, visit the People's History Museum or wander to The Lowry for a bit of culture. A stay in Manchester wouldn't be complete without an evening tipple on Deansgate. Fortunately, your Manchester Salford Central hotel room isn't far away.

This was my third time in The Alan so they must be doing something right 😄 Was guest at Room 403 this time which was the handiest room to get to/from the elevator. Definitely can't be lost.
Very spacious room with a bit of lounge area, free digestive biscuits, fresh water bottle and compact bath tub (yes, yes, yes!) which is perfect for short people. Window is a little high in this one and no floofy rug.
My favourite things: the gazillions of plugs and the full length mirror. As usual, bring your own summer duvet if you're a cool sleeper and your battery tea light candles for a cosier bath tub experience. A cortado at the nearby Nero overlooking St Peter's Square is a must.

GGuest UserStaycity is great, although they duplicate charged me which I have already paid thought agent earlier. Agent helped me to contact Staycity and they corrected it immediately. When I arrived Staycity, they knew and told me the money would be refunded to my credit card shortly.
Staycity is my second time to stay, it is convenient, clean, kitchen, bathroom, bedding….. room size, everything is great. I absolutely will recommend my friends to stay here when they visit Manchester.
AAnonymous UserGood place to stay for easy access to airport and travel links lukebtrain, trams and bus. Good food, especially breakfast. They have breakfast foods available for those who are leaving to catch early flights as well.
The place can be somewhat dusty and not good for those with dust allergies or asthma.
Had booked the accessible room which is nice and big. The only issue is that its far away from the main lifts and the carpet is a pain to drag wheels on.
GGuest UserThe food selection at breakfast was superb. All the staff were lovely and helpful, especially at breakfast. The swimming pool was always clean and tidy, nothing broken or dirty. Only thing that could have made our stay better was if the pool were open longer
AAnonymous UserBooked this hotel as we land in Manchester airport at midnight. Safely arrived at the hotel, receptionist notified us that the hotel is fully accommodated and they have upgraded our booking to holiday inn which is right across the road instead for free! Top notch problem solving skills! Will definitely return to this hotel if needed in the future. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
GGuest UserThis hotel was a positive surprise to me. I did not expect more than a bed to sleep close to the center of Manchester for the price I paid for the stay and they offered so much more with the friendliness and professionalism of the frontdesk service staff, the varied breakfast and comfortable bed. The hotel is however a bit outdated and I missed a usb plug in the room for charging mobile as I am a European traveller and the plug is different. Luckily front desk helped me with an adapter for the night. I also had a small lunch at the Garden restaurant and whether you go there for a drink or food you will find nice staff and you can taste the freshness of the products used.
All in all, great value for money.
GGuest UserStaff were really helpful, and the reception, bar area looks so pretty with the lights everywhere. The bedroom doors were very tired looking and didn't live up to the rest of the hotel. Our AC didn't work, and you couldn't open the window, we did call down to reception and the lady said she could control it but it didn't change and was very hot.
AAnonymous UserDuring my recent stay at this hotel, I found the overall experience to be enjoyable with top-quality fittings and furnishings. However, there were areas that required improvement. The hotel itself is pleasant, but enhancing the service and room cleaning would significantly improve the guest experience.
A standard room was paid for but a disability-accessible room was provided. We requested to change it to a standard which was done immediately without any questions. No water bottles were provided in the room initially; they were only given on request and only two small bottles were provided. Additionally, the room cleaning service was unsatisfactory. Despite requesting it twice over 4 nights, the cleaner only changed the sheets once and neglected to take out the bins vacuum, replace towels or clean the bathroom. This was particularly disappointing given the length of my nearly week-long stay.
The breakfast was beautifully presented with various options but unfortunately remained the same every day lacking any variation. Some areas were particularly poor. For instance, the scrambled eggs had a distinct smell and were overly watery. Adding tomatoes or simply varying the options every few days would have improved the experience.
One concern we had was the cleaning team. Twice the cleaner used his universal card to enter our room without ensuring no one was present. My partner was in the shower and our young baby was asleep. We heard a knock but were unable to reach the door in time. Upon reaching it we realised he was already entering. This occurred twice and on the following day we decided to chain the door for privacy reasons.
In other hotels we have stayed in, privacy is of the utmost concern for staff and they would never even risk opening someone’s locked door without making sure. A better system needs to be in place here.
RRawstronThe hotel was amazing! The service was fab, all the staff were so lovely and really helpful. The room was great and had everything you could need, and I loved the fact that all the toiletries are plant based! The location was also amazing, just round the corner from the nightlife if you wanted it (but completely silent from inside your room). It's very central so really easy access to anything you could want really.
Would definitely stay there again and already recommended it to some friends.
GGuest UserArrived at site, found the car park to be a good size, and secure facilities. Arrived at reception and was greeted by a friendly staff, and made very welcome, was pleased to find out the parking to be free.filled in the relevant paperwork and received my room card.went to our room and found it to be nice and clean and all the needed requirements for the over night stay.i would definitely book another stay here if I needed an overnight stay and would recommend it to family and friends.
GGuest UserMy man told me the doors locked yet there wasn’t any batteries to make functional, he also said I looked like a stoner n can happily smoke ****, so I took upon his request and enjoyed my stay to the fullest, was beneficial of the pricing range as the cost was no more then a 3.5 per bedroom
As for the the essential part of the trip, my associate commandeered a new sleeping partner,
So many thanks to the OUO house members for letting us stay in Middleton 😘
