Premier Inn Leicester Central (A50)

My room and corridors smelt extremely musty. The cleanliness of the general areas was lacking as well. Thankfully the window could be opened and we aired the room throughout our stay. My kids’ room did not smell as bad though. The room itself was clean. Have been to better premier inn rooms though.

Pros: Easy to get to, large free parking, quick and friendly check in. Beds very comfortable. Good value breakfast with large selection. 20 minutes from retail park. Cons: family room very small. Room very dirty (found sweets and toys on the floor, toilet still had poo on the rim from previous guest and mugs were clearly used had foot and tea stains around the mouth rim). Bowls for cereal at breakfast were very dirty. I think their diswasher is not working properly. Lots of dried weetabix on a lot of the bowls.

We use this hotel as a regular stop over on our way to London from Leeds. Our experience on each occasion has been very positive from check in to departure. What's prompted me to write this review is the service we received from the breakfast staff on 10 June - over and above what you would normally expect. Ryan, the chef, refused to let me take the last fried egg saying it was past its best and a few minutes later produced a couple of freshly cooked ones, hand delivered to our table. Ryan was ably supported by Yasin who checked us in and made sure that tables were cleared promptly and breakfast cereals, juices and bread basket replenished in good time. Superb service - highly recommend

The hotel fine, service was average, not being informed of the car parking charges, simply unacceptable.

Stayed here long term due to house being flooded. All staff have been brilliant, very friendly and professional. The rooms have been very clean with comfy beds and great facilities. Food has been excellent and well topped up. Nothing has been too much trouble for any of the staff. Reception has been very welcoming when booking in. A very big thank you to all. We very highly recommended this Premier Inn.

I stayed here with my 3 children at the weekend. The lady on reception was very welcoming and I had received a courtesy call from her a few days prior. What stood out most during our stay was the breakfast available. Up to 2 children ate free with each paying adult. Everything was perfect. The continental choice was great with beautifully fresh pastries. The plates and cutlery were clean, and there were warm plates available to hand. The full English breakfast was cooked beautifully and constantly being replenished, cooked fresh as opposed to being sat on the counter for a period of time. The chef (Ryan) was also superb pleasing our fussy kids and Danielle and Jenny were super kind and helpful on the floor. We will definitely be returning in the near future!

We had a very good stay. It was near to the places we needed to go! It was clean and well presented! We would certainly go there again.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here recently to break up a long trip from London to up north to see family. We were exhausted when we arrived and were so grateful for a smooth speedy check in and lovely bright clean room. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we felt so much better the next day after a good night's sleep. It's refreshing to find a hotel thats both great value for money and that also provides such a good standard. Thank you!
