If you're looking for a hotel with character then this is it! Every part of the building is filled with interesting furniture and original art, giving a really quirky feel. Even the central staircase and the lift are features. Every room is unique and comes well equipped. Breakfast buffet selection is impressive, with eggs made to order. Staff are very friendly and provide lots of recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants. As this is in a lively district if you are a light sleeper you will probably struggle with the noise from all the nearby bars. Earplugs are provided in the room! A really fun place to stay and very easy for the bus/tram on the main road.

Superb boutique hotel & probably as removed from a chain hotel as you can probably get. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional throughout. Very spacious suite with excellent facilities. Extremely comfortable bed. Very interesting public areas with retro furniture, original artwork and classic bikes on display. Located in Bairro Alto which is slightly away from the centre but with good access to the city - although you do need to be fairly mobile to cope with the hills and stairs. Loads of interesting small side streets with ample bars and restaurants, including a couple of Michelin starred, to choose from in the neighbourhood.

If I could give a high review I would. 10/5 this place exceeded mine and my families expectations. Andre the night manager is so friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable when we arrived jet lagged at 2am. The place is immaculate and such a great design in the rooms. We were so comfortable. Great location and very walkable. The breakfast is delicious! I hope we get to come back!

This was a truly unique hotel experience. We found the Raw Culture Arts and Lofts Barrio Alto to be in a fabulous location close to the major sites. The rooms were clean and spacious—our loft had a kitchenette, two toilets and three bathroom sinks, plus a nice shower and a comfy bed. They even had a welcome bottle of wine and chocolates for us. The staff was very friendly and helpful—they went above and beyond to welcome us and make our stay enjoyable. I am so glad we stayed here—it was a great find. The only thing to note is that it was on a small street off of the main road and our Uber had to drop us off around the corner, nor could they pick us up in front of the hotel. It wasn’t a big issue for us but just be prepared. Taxis have permits to come on the street so we used that upon departure to the cruise terminal.

This is a five star establishment with ten star staff. A great location within Bairro Alto , with food, bars and the smell and sights ofLisbon all close by. Breakfast almost worth the trip to Lisbon. A little more in room light would elevate to six star.

Fiz uma viagem em que me hospedei no Raw Culture em dois períodos diferentes, e a experiência foi igualmente excelente. O ambiente, a decoração, a hospitalidade dos funcionários, tudo foi irreparável. O quarto em que fiquei é exatamente o das fotos, bastante espaçoso, confortável e limpo. A cama especialmente era muito aconchegante, com lençóis e travesseiros de excelente qualidade. O café da manhã, da mesma maneira, foi espetacular, preparado com muita atenção pelos atendentes. Irretocável.

We honestly can’t speak highly enough of Raw Culture: we had an absolutely fantastic stay there at the end of March. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. The team of staff is friendly and knowledgeable, telling us about the building and the art as well as helping us to make decisions about where to visit, how best to travel to our chosen destinations and to book some excellent restaurants. Our loft (‘Bold’) was amazing: comfortable, cosy and spacious with so many excellent touches. It was such a treat to stay there for 5 nights. The communal space downstairs is a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing and the cocktails are delicious! Breakfast is a calm and tasty start to each day with the buffet options complemented by a range of options on request: the poached eggs, the scrambled eggs and the avocado toast became firm favourites. Although we ended up in Lisbon during some pretty freak weather, almost getting washed away in Alfama on one day and nearly blown off the top of (the superb) MAAT the day after, the comfort and ambiance of Raw Culture meant that our visit wasn’t spoiled at all: we wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you to everyone who was on the team from Sunday 24 to Friday 29 March: absolutely brilliant!

Amazing stay at this boutique hotel. Location is very central and easy to walk everywhere. Great restaurants and bars on your doorstep. The rooms are huge! Fully fitted kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Windows were double windows to block out street noise and also shutters which meant we were not disturbed at night. The breakfast has a fantastic selection and is super fresh. The bar has a great atmosphere and good drinks selection. The art in this hotel is a personal collection of the owner and worth spending time to look at. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. The service is so personal as there are only 12 rooms. They take the time to understand their guests and take a real interest in the guests. Their advice was invaluable and the WhatsApp service means they are always on hand. Would thoroughly recommend if you are looking for a small boutique hotel with a personal service and great rooms.

He hotel is located in the best central place of Lisbon and midst a lot of bars and restaurants which, as you read in other reviews, make noise at night. We had a good double glazed windows and had no problem. When you enter you see that the owner is an art lover. The place used to be Airbnb before so there are only 12 huge suites 70-80 m each either fully equipped kitchen and 2 toilets. The bed is comfortable the amenities in the bathroom are great. You get treated with a free bottle of wine and chocolate and pastry and coffee machine in the room and complimentary drink at the bar ( great cocktails and amazing friendly barman) The breakfast is excellent: tasty with a good variety and fresh eggs the way you like are prepared. The main advantage that for sure will make me return is the personnel that work there. Friendly and helpful each and everyone. In summary an amazing hotel, we’ll be back !!
