Very friendly owner, location is short walk from Paddington Station, very very convenient!!
Rooms are cosy and comfy, only con was no lift, so if you get a room on the above floors, will need to lug the luggage up the slightly narrow staircase.
Overall, will definitely stay there again my next visit!

Petit hôtel familiale très très bien situé. Hyde Park a 5 mn à pied pour le footing matinale ou les balade bucolique. Petit dej copieux, possible anglais ou continentale. L’accueil est vraiment TOP, serviable et sourire chaque matin. Metro et gare à moins de 3 mn

Twee nachten was goed te doen. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is ok. Ik verblijf wel vaker in hotels in Paddington en voor deze prijs heb ik altijd wel dezelfde soort hotelkamers. Douche was ruim en toilet was schoon en.zagen er nieuw uit. Er zijn geen liften dus is het altijd een hele weg om naar boven te lopen. Aardige en vriendelijke manager.

Albro House is a great place to stay. Cosy, clean and very friendly staff. We had a small issue with hot water and the owner immediately responded and tried to fix it. The location is also great, close to Paddington and Lancaster Gate Underground station. I can absolutely recommend it, just be aware that there are no elevators in the building.

Stayed 1 night before flying home after solo trip to England. Manager was very helpful, great breakfast included (continental, extra cost for more). Had great rate for (as expected) tiny room up many many stairs (no lift, which I was aware of and had no problem with, but could be an issue for others). Was great value for the cost for me, I've stayed in a few other properties in the area (Sussex Garden near Paddington), this one was one of the better ones.

I stayed here with my young son for 2 nights and it was perfect for what we wanted. A stones throw from Paddington and the owners were very friendly and obliging too. Our bedroom was on the 3rd floor (we counted 70 ish steps), so no good for anyone with a dodgy knee or with mobility issues as there's no lift. Breakfast was another flight of stairs to the basement so we certainly got a good workout! The bedroom was small but clean, as was a very small WC with shower cubicle with incredible water pressure! Our twin room was perfect for the 2 of us but a couple/ family would want bigger. It had TV, drawer space, wardrobe, cabinet, kettle/ cups, milks & coffee sachets. The "full English" was a bit lacklustre with a small tepid polish type sausage, dollop of beans, egg, bacon and 1/2 tomato but was enough for me as I didn't want toast. It was swimming in grease though and I saw another guest dabbing his breakfast with a napkin. No brown bread/ decaf options were available. My son had toast / cereal / croissant and he was happy with that. I was also able to put my rucksack in their office space until I needed to pick it up. I'd absolutely recommend it as a no frills option and you can't beat it for station proximity. 4/5

The London standard, in my experience, is “hopeful”: you have to keep your fingers crossed. Here, however, I found an excellent quality-price solution; a mix between the very British common rooms and the modern room (small yes but double bed and I was alone). The English breakfast was really good, the Italian owners very kind and helpful. The location is excellent and quiet; it's definitely not perfect but you have to know how to appreciate when you find the right solutions for prices that aren't exorbitant (since we're talking about London!!!). I promised the owners that I will definitely return and so it will be!!!
