Charming hotel towards the top end of the town. Comfortable room, fantastic breakfast buffet with an egg station. Friendly helpful staff. I enjoyed my stay good views of the surrounding hills. They provide hotel slippers and then room slippers. Modern room and bathroom, some places to sit and soak up the atmosphere.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had an awesome view to the mountains. The people there were very polite. I loved this hotel. It’s not at the center of Longyearbean. You have to walk approximately 10 minutes to go to the center. It has sauna, hairdresser, gym

Très bel hôtel avec déco contemporaine et chaleureuse. Chambres impeccablement propres. Vue sur le fjord. Service attentionné. Petite boutique de souvenirs. Restaurant EXCELLENT! Allergènes très bien indiqués et si vous avisez des vos intolérances en avance, le menu est adapté en conséquences et avec autant de saveurs que la version avec allergènes. Nous avons pris le menu 6 services! Magnifique experience culinaire! Service au top!

Incredible! This place was above and beyond anything we could’ve imagined in Svalbard. Beautiful facility! Helpful staff! Great food! We had jr suite with Mountain View. Attention to detail. Robes, slippers, heated bathroom floor. Wonderful!

スヴァールバル諸島に住むYoutuberさんもオススメしていたホテルで気になっていました。 街の中心部から離れた場所にありますが、街の中心まで歩いて10－15分くらいなので、さほど気になる距離でもないと思います。空港バスもホテルの眼の前まで泊まってくれます。 街の外れにあることで、ロングイエールビーンの町並みと湾、対岸の山を一望でき、とても素敵でした。 山小屋風ですが、内装はシックでエレガントなインテリアと色調でした。ライティングも北欧ならではという感じで癒やされました。 なかなか行く機会がない場所だと思うので、非日常感を味わうのにもぴったりだと思いました。

Amazing hotel with the nicest stuff. We loved the tradition of walking around in slippers which are given to you upon arrival. The breakfast is also great and you can support a research foundation if you don't demand cleaning your room each day.

Funken is a beautiful hotel in Svalbard. Minimal Nordic style decoration of high taste. Cozy common areas to relax and a great restaurant with marvelous views. Service is paramount
