First time to Cabo - the Hilton resort is really beautiful. The grounds are beautiful. Pools are well maintained and always surprised were so clean even with everyone wearing sunscreen. Swim up bar was great and never had a problem getting a chair. During the day they would come around with some freebies (fruit or an ice pop, etc). which was a nice touch given how expensive everything was. I have never been to Cabo and but have been to other Mexican resorts which were great bargains - drinks, food, were super pricey so definitely did not feel like a value. Not much going on either in terms of activity - was quiet, but did participate in the margarita class which was very fun (for a fee). Even all the fitness classes required a fee - i would have enjoyed some water aerobics but that was not offered. Maybe because it was May and more of their off season? The room - room was clean, the balcony view was beautiful overlooking the property and ocean and beds were comfortable. AC worked quite well. The shower was finnicky and sometime take a while for hot water, but eventually would get hot. The fridge did not work the entire time we were there and despite them sending someone up and several chasers that never got resolved. They eventually told us that unless you did the upgrade they turned off the processer on the fridge (seemed odd since the room said it included one). So we could never keep the waters cold. no big deal as we switched them to an ice bucket. Cleaning people also never would refill anything, but were always in the hallway so easy to get refills of whatever you would need by asking. All the food and drink on the resort were great. I took turns every other day doing the breakfast buffet (for 40) and having yogurt/cofee at Dulce ($16). Ate at Vela and Lena - both were very good and different in their own right. Service throughout the resort was top notch. At Lena their fans were working which did make it very hot and hard to enjoy, but eventually a table freed up and we got moved which was enjoyable. Had no problem with any drinking any mixed drinks or salad so resort does a good job with water safety. Beach - water actually was nicer than i anticipated given other reviews - quite pleasant and ok to swim in, in the roped area. The beach however is super pebbly so definitely bring water shoes because you can't walk on the beach. Overall - resort was beautiful but being from the east coast a 6 hour trip to not be able to enjoy the beach/swim in the ocean and given how pricey everything was did not seem worth it to me; but if you are heading there definitely would recommend this place. was truly paradise.
