This is a great resort that sits right along the hotel corridor almost halfway between Cabo, San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo. We have been coming to this resort for years and have always had a pleasant stay. But with new management, some things have changed for the better and some things have changed for the not so better. Let me start off with the positives. The staff is probably the friendliest I have encountered in our trips to Mexico. From the concierge all the way to the grounds keepers, they always greet you with a smile and pleasant salutations. If something is not right, they will do their best to make it right. The grounds keepers make sure to keep everything clean and even add some flair around the resort with some sand art. The resort is safe and I have found no problem in finding a place to relax whether it’s by the pool or a loveseat under the trees. The pools are large and always at a comfortable temperature. For the kids, they have a small pool with slide and splash pad. The food is good quality and they have something for even the pickiest of eaters. Their meal plan is well worth it if you’re planning to just stay at the resort and relax. But if you’re planning on eating out they can customize their plan to a shorter time so you can have the best of both worlds. As mentioned, they have had a change of management and some things have changed. First I do want to acknowledge that they are going through a renovation. They are updating all their villas and if you go on their sales pitch, you can see what the final rooms will look like. With that said, the rooms are a good size and if you are given one of the older rooms, it may feel a bit dated but still a nice room. Unfortunately, this time around I was supposed to have the updated room and even during the check in process was told my room was updated but when I entered the room, I quickly learned it was not the renovated rooms. The room I got was dated and had a few things wrong With it but hotel staff was able to get me into another room the next day. However, again they told me I was going to be moved to a renovated room, but turned out to be an older room as well. Despite confirming my reservations weeks prior that I was going to have a updated ocean view room I was stuck in the back of the resort. Again, not a problem. The rooms are still very nice, but when you’re expecting one thing and given another, it leads to a bit of a disappointment. Next this resort is great when traveling with a small group of 10 people or less but this time I had a group of 18 and found it hard for dinner reservations. None of the restaurants could accommodate my group and they had to split the group up each night. Which was a disappointment because this was a family trip and our family was divided each dinner. We all did the meal plan and found it being worth it however what I found out is that anytime you have a group over 10 it becomes a preset meal and requires planning in a
