There was a strange smell in the room, like foot odor, it felt like it was on the carpet. But with heating and hot air conditioning, it's still nice. By the way, you can't go to the rooftop pool, don't be fooled by the pictures.

The hotel is good, the facilities are great, the swimming pool is great, the breakfast is good, the staff is attentive and pleasant, I will recommend it without a doubt. Thank you for everything, we will definitely be back.

Vi havde en helt fin oplevelse på Emparador. Det lever ikke helt op til prisen. Vi kunne ikke få varmt vandt på badeværelset udover tidlig morgen. Så eftermiddag og aften var udelukket, hvilket var ærgerligt, når man kom hjem fra en lang varm dag og ville have et bad. Jeg ville ikke betale samme pris igen.

En mi viaje por España estuve 3 veces en el hotel porque me gusto su ubicación, la comodidad del cuarto aunque alguno de ellos no estaba insonorizado y su muy buen desayuno, indudablemente regresaria

Very much enjoyed our visit to Madrid,Picked Emperador for location and this could not be faulted. Hotel itself typical of it's kind. Had to pay for upgrade as original room completely unacceptable .Tiny cramped and very dingy. New room fine great view over Gran Via . Very clean ,no complaints on that score.Do not waste your money on the breakfast numerous local eateries on doorstep.All in all fine would we stay again ,maybe? .Roof terrace a bonus but not open when we visited did pop up for a look though and it was lovely .We had booked a "romantic " break which is possibly why we were distinctly underwhelmed,our paid for bottle of cava was not to be foundI. Instead we were given a voucher to drink it in the "distinctly lacking in atmosphere" bar with the football in the background. Might have been nice for staff to enquire about our visit ,it was our 28th wedding anniversary after all.
