Makati Hotels with Airport pickup service

Our second stay at Red Planet Hotel was nothing short of magical. The combination of luxurious accommodations, outstanding service, and thoughtful amenities made it the perfect destination for a romantic staycation. We left feeling relaxed, reconnected, and eager to return. Highly recommended for couples looking to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy some quality time together.

Firstly, the good. Good location in colourful Poblacion (close to the heart of Makati but keep alert) and reasonably priced. Good friendly staff who go out of their way, Nino, Marlon and Leo (Nino in particular gave me great help when ING Australia had suspended use of my ATM card given its overseas use even though I advised that I would be overseas! lol). Good security (steel security door) and good value. The bad....upper floors can only be accessed by stairs which resemble the steep climb to the death face of K2 (to say it is somewhat steep is an understatement). Nimble young folks and families could do it but it was a great strain for older folks like me despite the fact that the friendly staff were happy to carry my bags upstairs. Secondly, the internet there must be run by evil spirits - you would get connected and the internet would fade and disconnect, or refuse to connect repeatedly. There are many other alternative internet options (different routers for different floors) however you would get the same bad internet experience over and over again. Whilst there is no great internet even in Manila, at the end of the day the internet here was a very frustrating experience and a great difficulty if you absolutely required it (which is most of us). The rooms were so so and came with air conditioning and were about right for a budget stay.

my room was 1010 and it was so smelly, nag tiis nalang ako for 3nights. Ung baho ata nanggagaling sa toilet. At first ung room na binigay sa akin is NO window kahit na ang binook ko ay meron naman at ayaw pa nga echange eh dami explanation.. so, I complaint kaya chinange nila. Anyways, Thank you kay Sir (night duty) na nag assist sa akin kaya napabilis ung pag change ng room.

Y2 Residence is a bit along Makati Avenue (about 2.5 kms from Greenbelt Malls area) and around the corner from Century City Mall. There are numerous small restaurants within easy walking distance along Makati Ave and surrounds. We stayed two nights at Y2 Residence Hotel on our way from Palawan and prior to departing the Philippines and wish we had found it earlier. On arrival were were immediately made feel welcome , met on the road and our bags taken and carried in for us. (We had stayed in a number of places in the Philippines on this trip and our previous far more expensive where this did not occur). Check in was seamless, Y2 offers an online check in however we prefer face to face. Our room a One Bedroom Deluxe Suite on the ninth flooor, while not large was easily spacious enough for the two of us. A two seater lounge, a single chair with coffee table. A small dining table and a kitchenette large enough to cook in if you wanted. The bedroom was small with one bedside table on one side wih a cupboard with safe on the other. But really what more was needed. The bathroom is small (narrow) however had everything in it including an intantatious hot water system that provided hot water quickly. Even though we faced the main entrance and a building site was adjacent to us we were not disturbed by noise. However this may change as building increases. The view from the rooftop pool and bar area are worth the extremely slow lift up and down then walk up the flight of stairs, particularly as one lift was out of service while we were there making it even slower to get to any floor/ foyer. The lift was the most frustrating thing with our stay. The pool area and surrounds are not large and would if busy you would be lucky to find somewhere to sit, however while we were there we had not problems with this. As stated the view across the city is spectacular, take a few minutes to soak it in. Pros Excellent value for money Very good service, particularly the young trainees. We were able to check-in earlier. However the first room we got had leaking aircon so we asked for a transfer. The transfer was done immediately. The staff were very active and accommodating. We also requested for pots and pans for cooking and they gave it to us right away. Service here is really good despite old facilities especially the bathroom. The bathroom had drainage smell but could be masked by the air freshener they gave us. Hehe

The staffs are accommodating. If you are looking for room to sleep over a night, this one is fine. Center of business establishments like Pick up coffee, lawson and Pares/mami house etc..walking distance to 7eleven and Jollibee. Pool and gym are free but toiletries are not included such as soap and shampoo. So far such a great experience

This place was such a steal for the price! Super clean, had a kettle, wonderful AC, nice little private bathroom and suchhhh a comfy bed!! If I ever have a layover again in Manila I would 100% come back here. Location was also good! Front desk staff were also very helpful and kind. Just a warning that there is no elevator and we had to go up and down 4 flights of stairs. So not suitable for those who are unable to do this.

I gave it a three for cleanliness because the toilet had a very strong sewage smell. I was told this was ”normal” but okay. The location is great and lots of bars and restaurants around, and only 30 min to the large shopping mall. Overal I was happy with the stay and would recomend this to my family or friends.

Good place, clean, the room are fairly big and comfortable. It's noisy in the morning if the room face the street so earplugs are recommended for light sleeper. The staff is helpful and professional.
