Family-friendly Hotels in Maoming

I went there because despite being far from everything, I don´t mind if it´s a nice place. I was lured by the nice pics with the blue sea, but what I found was disappointing, very calm, yes and so closed to the beach that you can hear the sea from the room. that I loved. What I didn't like much was that the water was brown-ish, I didn´t even dare to get in there. As for the hotel, first the good thing: LEO in the front desk went far and beyond to help me with my requirements, really seemed like the only person there willing to help customers. The room was clean, with a nice view and comfortable bed. The hotel has a pretty floating church where you can take nice pictures, it[s popular for weddings as I could evidence. Now, the not so good: Service wasn't as nice as you would expect for the price they charge; besides LEO, as I already mentioned, and the nice lady at the entrance of the restaurant, the rest of the staff was rather uninterested and unpolite. I went to the swimming pool the first day and there weren't any towels available. I asked one of the guys there (as of today I don't know what they were doing besides sitting on a chair and spitting all afternoon) if they could get me a towel and they told me I had to go to the front desk to get one...it was a 10 min walk from the swimming pool). I asked also the lady in the little convenience store next to the pool and the answer was the same. I went, asked LEO, he apologized and got me a towel (took them 10 mins to get a clean towel for me) and I finally could go. Breakfast buffet is mostly Chinese, and so is all in the hotel, mostly for Chinese couples who want to take nice pictures... I don't know what I was expecting, I though I would find a more foreigner-friendly environment, but I still have to learn to lower my expectations.

The room price on Tuesday in summer is 560 yuan (for this price you can stay at Wyndham in other cities). There are no plastic slippers in the room. The bathroom is at the level of a small county hotel (within 150 yuan), including toiletries. I went to Wyndham for breakfast (I guess it was three projects from the same developer). There were basically no hard dishes. Even the bacon was chopped and fried into potato cubes. There was no quality at all. It was said that there was a tourism festival in Thailand based on Southeast Asia. The breakfast at the resort hotel is rich and full. The sand on the beach is black and the sea water is yellow. This is also a problem with the developer's site selection and aesthetic management. It seriously affects my impression of Maoming, the leader of GDP in western Guangdong. I originally planned to stay one more night, so I immediately changed my itinerary and returned to Guangzhou.

I live here every time I travel, the location is excellent, the transportation is convenient, and there are many food and attractions around. The hotel lobby is spacious and bright, the decoration is exquisite, the staff is warm and courteous, and the check-in is efficient. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, the facilities were complete and well maintained, the bathroom was dry and wet, and the toiletries were of good quality. The breakfast is rich in variety, delicious and comfortable to soak in.

I recently stayed in a hotel for a business trip, and I have to give this hotel a high evaluation. The room is very spacious and clean, the whole is very comfortable, very suitable for short stays on business trips. There are two shortcomings. First, the air conditioning style is old and can't be adjusted to a more comfortable temperature. It just blows a bit cold on the bed. Second, the access card has restricted the opening permission before the check-out time, and the hotel staff has no channels to inform. It is very troublesome to run up and down the front desk to reactivate. It should be clear before check-in.

The Colton Hotel gave us an unexpected surprise, because it was a newly built hotel in 2019, with trendy decoration, well-equipped rooms, clean and quiet at night. The front hall brother service is very good, take the initiative to help us with the luggage, the free nightingale here tastes very good, the chef is first-class, the breakfast is also very rich, and I will have the opportunity to stay at this hotel again in the future.

The good place in the room is the good lighting, the scenery is good, the price of the hotel with a bathtub, this is a cheap price, if you want to take a bath, you must bring a disposable towel or you can wipe things, and bring alcohol disinfection, because the bathtub is not very clean (meaning dust or something), Can you say that you can do a good job of eliminating* before soaking in the bathtub?

The hotel front desk service is polite, the price is average, the parking lot is open-air, it is close to the beach, but you have to drive there, it is very humid in the south, enough. It is close to the Shuidongwan Bridge and the environment is quiet

Specially stayed in two bed rooms for one night and a suite for one night. In fact, the area of the two rooms is very different, and there are two bathrooms and living rooms, which save a lot of waiting for bathing and toileting time, and when the child sleeps first, the unsleeping adult can also handle affairs in the living room or watch TV without interference. The toilet in the master bedroom is installed too close to the wall and not very convenient. There is a splashing problem like the washbasin, but it is better than the two-bed room. The company that should be built and renovated is not enough. Fortunately, the hotel is not home, and it will pass. 🤣 In addition, there is a supermarket next door to the hotel, which is very convenient.

Following my mood, I chose to stay at the Romantic Coast Sheraton Hotel before the Mid-Autumn Festival. The overall experience was very good. Before check-in, Ms. Zong'e Xiao Li, the front desk staff of the hotel, called to understand our check-in requirements and arranged a Ruyi room for us. The service was excellent. The room facilities and equipment were very complete, and the hygiene was also very good, clean and comfortable. I could also see the fireworks on the beach on weekends from the balcony of the room, which was really great. When the Mid-Autumn Festival came, we were also given small gifts and lanterns, which the children liked very much. The overall experience was very good. It would be better if there were more parking spaces at the entrance of the hotel. This is the only shortcoming, haha, but it does not affect our overall check-in experience. I will come again next time if I have the chance.
