Maputo Hotels with Airport pickup service

My wife and I stayed 3 nights, arriving at 2PM with a rental car and parking in front. A nice English-speaking receptionist copied my passport, as I signed an entry sheet, then presented the key cards. After parking in their secure lot, we took one of the 2 elevators to the 1st floor. Wood tiled room #116 opened to a fully outfitted bathroom with a tile shower, followed by a refer, safe and coffee station, a comfortable but small double bed facing a satellite TV(Al Jezzara, BBC or CNN, 5 sports, Disney, Discovery + 10 more channels), then desk and chair. A large window opened to planted palms. While the room is small it is ideally designed with quiet AC, constant bathroom exhaust, good secure WIFI and 2 outlet stations. The serviced 6:30AM lobby breakfast was excellent; juices, fruit, yogurt, eggs, hot and cold meats, cheese, breads/jams, muffins and coffee machine choices. This new 125 room hotel connects to the Baia Mall and overlooks the sea.

Great. The following are the advantages and disadvantages: advantage: 1. Good location 2. The staff are professional and considerate to the guests. After I moved in, I found that the provided Wi-Fi can only connect to two devices. If there are more, they can’t connect. I called the front desk and they immediately found a way to get another account and returned it to the room. , Teach me how to use. The service staff are professional, always smiling and very enthusiastic. 3. The room facilities are good, the bed is good, and it feels relatively high-end. Disadvantages: 4. The hotel entrance and lobby are too unassuming. When I checked in, I thought it was broken and my mind was beaten. 5. You can’t take a bath in the room bath. Standing in the bath, the water is easy to spill on the ground and get a lot of water on the ground. 6. The food is not tasty Overall recommendation. I stayed two nights in a row, and it was the only hotel where I stayed together.

Marvellous classic hotel with detailing and quality from a bygone era of time and quality. The location is stunning, you do not need to leave the hotel and our second floor room overlooking the Indian Ocean was spectacular. Staff were great, cheerful, friendly and attentive. Place and room was spotlessly clean and would recommend it without reservation. A memorable adventure in title and place.

The exterior and lobby are very nice and the location is ok. There are 2 very slow, very small, sometimes functioning elevators. The rooms need work, see photos. Chunks of bathroom tile missing, 3 out of 4 bulbs in bedside lights missing and fixtures broken, there was obviously some kind of flood from the bathroom that wrecked the plywood flooring. I'm gluten and dairy free so didn't trust any of the handful of things on the room service menu, some of our friends did and the reviews went from mediocre to inedible. There's apparentIy some sort of breakfast but after asking the staff in the cafeteria a couple of times if we could order something and being told no (at 7:50am, breakfast is advertised as being at 7:30), we went out for breakfast, which seems to be the smart move. If you just need something no frills to sleep for a night it did seem like the beds were clean but the water pressure in the shower is a luke warm trickle. Set your expectations and it's fine as a place to sleep for a night, but I wouldn't stay longer.

The hotel was tidy, and I like the location and view. The cathedral next to it is very beautiful. And the location is not too far from the airport, so it is suitable.

I have lived in the AFECC Gloria Hotel in Maputo for nearly a month, and I would like to share my experience. The Chinese name of this hotel is also called Anhui Foreign Economic Kailai Hotel. There is Gloria Mall next to the main door without leaving the door, a Chinese supermarket on the first floor, and a cinema on the third floor. The highlight of the hotel is that all rooms face the beach. There is a road outside the hotel gate that leads to the beach, and all rooms have sea views. - There is a red wine and cigar bar on the first floor, which can entertain VIP customers, and the wine is expensive. The G floor is a western restaurant, a lobby cafe, and breakfast is served on the G floor. First of all, I want to say that the location of the hotel is very convenient. It is located in the city center, with many shopping and dining places nearby, which is very suitable for travelers. In addition, the hotel also provides free pick-up and drop-off services, which is very convenient for travelers who do not rent a car. The first floor is a Chinese restaurant with rich dishes. There is a barrier to choice every time you order. People with a small appetite are advised to order the daily special set meal. Every dish ordered is huge. Basically, you can't eat anything with two dishes. The fried rice and noodles are also the size of a soup bowl, which can be shared by two to three people. The second floor is a gym, swimming pool and spa. The spa hardware is very high, but because there are few masters, I have only seen 2 people. It is recommended to make an appointment in advance. Secondly, the hotel room is very clean and comfortable. The bed is very soft and makes people feel very relaxed. The bathroom is also very clean, equipped with a bathtub, dry and wet separation. The toiletries are relatively complete, with a comb and toothbrush, but no cotton swabs, and a sewing kit. The decoration belongs to the traditional domestic hotel decoration, Chinese style, the bed is huge, 2 meters, and 3 pillows are placed side by side. The pillows are high. The decoration is early and warm, without odor, but because it is by the sea, there will be some flying insects. It will be much better if the gauze curtains are drawn. There will be no harassment when the hotel central air conditioning is turned on. The hotel room is equipped with a balcony as standard. The balcony is 3-4 square meters, which is large. You can overlook Maputo Bay and watch the high and low tides every day. The sea breeze and the sound of the tide make it easy to fall asleep. Finally, I was impressed by the service of the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They always keep smiling and try their best to meet the needs of guests. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience of staying here. I heard from the locals that this hotel is located in the whole of Maputo and its facilities are very suitable for Chinese tourists. The only downside is that if you book late, the price will exceed a thousand yuan per day. It is highly recommended to travelers who are looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

Booked in by my company on a layover in Maputo. When we checked in we were told the elevator was broken and our rooms were on the 11th floor !! Room was was very shabby. Broken window, mould in the bathroom, broken wall sockets NO toilet paper. Not worth the $83 charged for the over night stay and in fact would never stay here again. WiFi was terrible and hardly able to connect. Would not recommend this place, nothing in this place relates to VIP !!! Avoid it.

The place was nice comfortable, the guy at reception is really nice and helpful. Location if you're looking to be in the downtown hustle and bustle area is key. The only bad experience was the cleaning stuff searching through my stuff and making it obvious that someone was looking for cash coz my passport was not taken, so if management can address this with the cleaning team.

A lovely hotel with great facilities.. We stayed there for 7 nights and all the nights were a pleasure.. Walking distance to a shopping mall and lots of great food places.. They even prepped our room for a surprise birthday at no extra cost.. The hotel is well managed and if you really want a good deal or any extra help Kripa is the go to man.. He will assist you with anything and everything..
