Really lovely hotel, the outside did not do the inside justice. Lovely, warm welcoming staff, clean rooms with a fantastic hot powerful shower!!! I would recommend and would stay here again.
El Fuerte Marbella

The location of this hotel is perfect - next to the old town and right on the promenade. The hotel is always spotless and the staff are so professional. They have an excellent process in place for breakfast. The busy times are between 09:30 and 10:15, so you might have to queue a bit but it is well organised and moves quickly. We only went B&B and you could not fault the selection of food available. We had a sea view room which had a great size balcony. The Amare hotel is a sister hotel and spa treatments can be got here. We availed of these and had a great experience. The one area for potential improvement is the night time entertainment. Some nights had nothing on and the Pinetree club area lacks atmosphere on those nights. Overall a fabulous return visit and we will be back.
Mr & MRS Smith Puente Romano Marbella
4.4/543 Reviews
It should be a better five-star hotel in Marbella, but the experience is average and will not stay again. The picture of the Ctrip suite does not match the actual situation. It is actually a sofa in an ordinary hotel room, and the room has a musty smell. Ctrip indicated that it will open in 2020. I thought it was a new hotel. The actual decoration is relatively old. I don't understand why it is a hotel opened in 2020. The front desk service does not meet the five-star standard. The procedures are completed in the morning and the room card is picked up in the afternoon. There is a person at the front desk, very slow, and waited for a long time. The advantage of the hotel is that there are many restaurants, it feels good to eat at night, the location is by the sea, and the walk is very comfortable.
Guadalpin Suites
4.1/545 Reviews
My wife and I have just returned home from our visit to Guadalpin Suites where we stayed 3 weeks. The facilities exceeded all of our expectations, including the comfortable beds, excellent bathroom facilities, very good kitchen with washing machine for our clothes and dish washer. The apartment was cleaned spotlessly every day by the housekeeping staff who were so friendly and welcoming and nothing was a problem for them including delivering an iron and board whenever needed. The rooms were very restful and quiet helping us to have a wonderful sleep every night. The breakfast in Gigi's every morning was a wonderful treat with superb fresh food provided every morning served by the most hospitable staff. The ladies on reception ( especially Yan Yan ) were very professional and could not have been more helpful. They were always very courteous and helped with any queries we had. We were so impressed that we have booked our next holiday in March 2024 before departing on Saturday last. Tony & Barbara ( Ireland )
Hard Rock Hotel Marbella – Puerto Banús
4.1/5118 Reviews
This hotel does a really good job of capturing the “Hard Rock” vibe so if you’re into that you’ll enjoy your stay at this property. Lots of memorabilia dotted around, great music and some lovely touches around the hotel. We stayed in a deluxe room which was small but furnished to a good standard with a very comfy bed. Bathroom was well equipped and the balcony was a decent size. Jukebox feature on the TV is excellent and allows you to get the party started before you go out or continue it after hours in your room. Having YouTube on the TV is handy too. The pools were good, there’s 2 pretty large ones and they look great during the day and night. The rooftop deck is quite chilled, it has a bar and an infinity pool with beds to suit everyone really, lots of variety so standard cushioned beds and lower body shaped beds. There are several “Bali beds” that come with a 150 Euro minimum spend. Sounds like alot but the food & drink isn’t cheap so can be done relatively easily if you plan to stay at the pool all day and have lunch. The pools are shallow but a good size and the infinity pool offers a brilliant view over the second pool area. The second pool area features a stage and DJ booth at the top of the pool and is louder. The pool parties that Hard Rock offer are held here during the day as well so bear that in mind when selecting your bed. There is an “Eden Cafe” in this area offering burgers and the like during the day and the main “Sessions” restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner too if you book half board. We booked bed & breakfast so didn’t eat dinner at the property. We did have lunch on our first afternoon at the Eden cafe and it was very good. The breakfast offers an excellent selection & its tasty. They also have a musicians playing a different instrument each day on the outdoor terrace which is a nice touch. The bar area in the lobby lacks atmosphere and is a little on the slow side to get a drink. The cocktails are good though and its worthwhile having a drink there, especially if a live band is on. Service at the hotel was very good overall and we very much enjoyed our stay. The bellhops in particular are excellent. They provided us with a “courtesy room” on checkout day (we had a late flight) which was a nice touch after having checked out already and been out all day. The location of the hotel was further out than we thought and required you to either walk through a large, unkept subway or walk down narrow busy roads with several hills. The subway route is best and takes around 15 mins to Porto Banus but is not ideal at night. We had no issues and saw no undesirables but I do think Hard Rock could do more to make that subway more inviting (clean it, add their branding, have music playing etc). I don’t think they own it but perhaps they should take ownership of how it looks at the very least as it could quite easily put some people off staying at the hotel. The “****** Marbella” is attached to the hotel. It’s a nice ****** but lacks atmosphere. You also need your passport to enter (I had to go back to the room) so bear that in mind too. There is a handy supermarket opposite the hotel that has a great selection of snacks, ice cream, toiletries, booze etc plus it’s really cheap. There’s a lovely little bar called “Park Lane Sports Bar” that is family run and really charming. The drinks are cheap and the people who run it are very friendly. The resident dog “Lolo” is also quite a character and really makes the bar. We also ate at a lovely little Spanish restaurant called “Noto” - the prawns, pizza and service was excellent. There are more luxurious hotels to stay in Marbella and hotels in nicer locations but for a party vibe, good food & drink, strong pool decks and friendly service the Hard Rock is a solid choice.
Pensión Aduar

I stayed at Pension Aduar in May 2024, and I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Located right in the heart of Marbella, in the picturesque old town, Pension Aduar provides an incredibly beautiful setting perfect for walks both during the day and in the evening. The sea is very close by, which is a huge plus for beach lovers. The location in the old town creates a special atmosphere, immersing guests in authentic Spanish charm. Walking through the narrow streets and enjoying the architecture brought me great joy. The hotel staff deserves special praise. They are true professionals who clearly love and care for the hotel with all their hearts. Their friendliness and willingness to help in any situation made my stay even more comfortable. Although it was still too cold for me to swim in the sea in May, so I plan to return this summer. The hotel provides everything needed for a comfortable stay. Pension Aduar is the perfect place for those who want to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Marbella's old town and enjoy the proximity to the sea. The friendly and professional staff makes staying here truly enjoyable. I look forward to my next visit!
