Super 8 by Wyndham Mount Vernon

This is my last trip. I dealt with combative members of staff that suggested I was pretending to be bitten by bedbugs for a refund.

Contrary to previous reviews, the room was clean and the front desk staff was helpful and polite. Our king bed was comfortable. Internet was fine. Convenient access from the Interstate highway. We would stay again.

Horrible! DO NOT RECOMMEND. I don't understand the reviews that it was clean because it it not. We moved from the first room because the weird chemical smell was so bad it made me feel nauseous! If we had another place to stay, we would have but all was full booked in other hotels. Chairs with big holes in seat / broken through. Thankfully we had a nice online deal and when we wanted to extend a night at check-in the owner denied the sale price. So I went online and booked again. The owner actually verbally attacked me outside my door, mad that I had booked online for the cheaper price! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Visit was actually earlier but not a choice in form.

This hotel was very clean, well-lighted, and safe. Very comfortable bed, great pillows, clean bathroom, and very well-lit parking lot. Very nice front-desk help, too. No frills, but if you need a safe, clean, inexpensive place to rest on your journey, you can't go wrong here!

I've been here since the new year.. combative staff, cockroaches, false advertising in the lobby saying 8.2/10 hotel on ********** when it's 2/5 at best..I've stayed in a lot of crappy motels because I have no place to go but this place is extremely uninviting..I've stayed in hole in the wall motels but at least those holes didn't have roaches

I was ok with letting them know and moving on. But, I was taken aback by the front staff’s combativeness. I couldn’t get a word in edgewise. I checked out in the wee hours of the morning when I found these insects on my pillow on two separate occasions.

Motel was clean and well kept. We were in town for a wedding and only stayed one night. Other than highway noise, the complex was quiet. Bed was a little hard to our liking, but was find for one night.

Desk clerk was very pleasant, room was clean, property well maintained. Quiet, comfortable room. Convenient to interstate and food. Felt secure. Reasonable price. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Booked for an overnight stay while in the area looking at properties. The room was clean if a little dated. The bed was SUPER HARD (probably a brand new mattress by the looks of the work in progress). Breakfast was only coffee and little cinnamon rolls. Not a bad place to stay off the interstate, but not super fancy.
