JJasur MavlyanovWe recently enjoyed a 4-night stay at Mo Yan Homestay (莫颜·莫干山Villa环山溯溪美宿（庾村广场店)) with our two children. The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, situated incredibly close to the hiking trails of Moganshan. The amenities are equally impressive, featuring a large outdoor pool, a rooftop barbecue area, and an additional ground-floor barbecue spot. There are plenty of cozy sitting areas both inside and around the hotel for relaxation.
For indoor entertainment, the hotel offers a spacious billiard table on the ground floor, as well as an arcade gaming set that our kids couldn’t get enough of. Speaking of the kids, they were thrilled with the children’s themed room we booked. The room’s balcony provided stunning views of the river, mountains, and lush bamboo forests that front the hotel.
But what truly sets Mo Yan Homestay apart are the hosts. They are among the best we’ve encountered in China, making us feel completely at home. This was our second trip to Moganshan, and thanks to the incredible hospitality at Mo Yan, it certainly won’t be our last. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for your exceptional hospitality!

GGuest UserLocation: Opposite Jun'anli, very close to the starting point of Moganshan Cross-country Race. You can clean up your stomach in the hotel and walk over to start running. You don't need to store your bag, let alone queue for the bathroom near the starting point.
Environment: The whole villa with front and back yards is spacious and open. Because of the gate, it is private and well separated from the street. There is a large outdoor swimming pool and grass canopy in the yard. There are many small chairs, small tables, hanging chairs, and flowers and plants to rest and daze. The lobby on the first floor is very spacious, the sofa is very comfortable, and the combination of various exquisite furnishings and plants can show the boss's love for life. Many still life sketches can be taken in different small corners.
Room: The room is spacious, clean and tidy, needless to say, the bedding is well-received, the bed is just soft and hard, and the latex pillow is very friendly to my sensitive neck! I slept very well for two nights. I like the windows on one wall, with a bamboo forest outside the window, and a wall like a painting. The frame does not change and the content of the painting changes with the seasons. The quality of various toiletries and aromatherapy is very good. The blueberries for welcome fruit are also washed in a box, touching!
Breakfast: Choose according to the menu the day before. The boss specially prepares a special breakfast at 6 o'clock for the cross-country racers. The sandwich is well received! The sour soup noodles for daily breakfast are well received! The boss can take care of all kinds of taboos, which is touching!
Service: The boss is super nice, warm and thoughtful, beautiful and considerate, making people feel at home.
I hope that the track organized by Kalas next time will be different from that of TNF, so that there will be another reason to come back!

JJade TallowinWe had an amazing stay at this villa. The owners are by far the best part of the stay. They are so nice and friendly. The man drove us around town a few times and helped us prepare things for our bbq. He set everything up and cleaned it up. Whenever we offered to help he never allowed us. The room was immaculate when we arrived and everyday if we left the room no matter what time they would go up and clean it. We got fresh bedding and towels everyday which was not necessary but a very nice thought. Anything we needed we could just ask and they would help us. We did book this place over others based on they had a resturant but just be ware you need to have a minimum of 8 people in your party to use it. This was no problem for us though as we just ate in town down the road.
I would highly recommend this place for couples who want to sit and enjoy nature but also any families looking for a nice place to relax. They have an amazing garden and the pool was great too.
Honestly have no complaints! The games room was awesome too!

Hidden in the green mountains and bamboo seas of Ziling Village, it is a veritable ”natural forest oxygen bar”. The buildings are mostly single-family villas, some retaining the local earth wall style, but the interior is European-style rural style, with story-filled utensils and art decoration, both wild and exquisite. The room is named after ”Mogan, Ziling, Mountain Village, Reading”, and the details are hidden in ingenuity.
The double bed suite room type, some of which are double loft structures, equipped with large floor-to-ceiling windows, independent balcony and bathtub, and the bamboo sea and mountain view can be seen by pushing the window. The facilities pay attention to comfort.
”Butler-style intimate” service, will wait in advance to help carry luggage when you check in. Dining is the core highlight. Afternoon tea and breakfast are exquisite and ceremonial. The villa owner, Mr. Wang, is very talkative and caring. Dinner is a private dish with Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai tastes. The ingredients are fresh and the taste is authentic.
Would recommend family and friends to stay again!

PPinkGirlExtremely sweet staff who are extremely friendly and welcoming. The check-in process was quick and swift. We got there after 8 pm on a Friday night and the front desk was available and waiting for us. They allowed night swimming and had great a spacious Karaoke facility. This hotel /BnB is pet friendly and so our 2 fur kids were not discriminated against and was treated with a great care. Jinx is the girl at the front desk and she is very kind, always going the extra mile for us, even sending us locations and attractions close by on wechat. If I could suggest a few things it would be:
1. The cats in the cat enclosure have not had their space cleaned in weeks. There are feces and spider webs inside the 'space'. The cats never come out and look very unhappy. Please can they be better taken care of.
2. Rooms can be swept and cleaned daily.
3. Breakfast can be less dough based but some more fruit and healthier food options.
Overall, we would definitely visit again and really enjoyed such a warm environment.

__CFT010000001002****Our two-day 'retreat' with my mom and grandma has come to a perfect end! A big thank you to our butler, Xiao Liu, for the thoughtful arrangements. He upgraded our rooms and every meal was delicious. The elders in my family are always so happy when they're in a natural, mountain setting. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed – we didn't have to prepare a thing. Plus, there were charging stations for our electric car, so all we had to do was relax. FFCP1234An excellent weekend Getaway from Shanghai. Our stay in Arcadia was amazing, located in a beautiful mountain valley of MoganShan the setting was perfect for a relaxing break. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly and the food was always delicious and freshly prepared for us. We spent most of our time sat by the pool or in the Jacuzzi. It’s also a lovely spot to bring your dog, with an enclosed garden and lots of space. Definitely recommend to stay!

GGuest UserAfter the May Day holiday, and before my maternity leave ended, I finally got to visit naked Castle, a place I'd been dreaming of for a long time. In short: it truly lives up to its reputation as one of the best, if not *the* best, luxury resorts in China! It's not far from Shanghai, so I can definitely see myself going back often!
The biggest highlight is undoubtedly the scenery! Driving up the winding mountain road to the peak, and then stepping into our Cliff Suite to be greeted by breathtaking mountain views – it felt like my soul was instantly liberated from its shackles. All I wanted to do was sit on the bamboo chair on the balcony and simply unwind.
Then there's the famous ancient castle itself. Although it's a renovation, it remarkably captures its original essence, while the interior beautifully blends modern aesthetics with cultural heritage. Every brick, every tile, every door, every window is worth admiring. The path leading from our room to the castle was like something out of a fairytale.
Secondly, the overall service quality was outstanding. From the front desk, shuttle staff, and restaurant servers to the housekeeping team, everyone was highly professional and efficient. Our dedicated guest relations specialist, Xiao Chen, was particularly attentive and thoughtful. We were traveling with our 5-month-old baby, and the hotel had already prepared a crib and assigned us a perfectly located room, making it easy to get to the restaurant and the castle. Despite the hotel having been around for some years, it's incredibly well-maintained and feels as good as new, which is a rare find among domestic resorts!
We've already made plans to return in autumn when the leaves change color, to enjoy the castle's beauty in a different season!

AAnonymous User1. **Room Issue:** I originally booked a king-size bed room, but due to an elevator problem, they switched us to a twin room. However, once we got into the room, we found that something was blocking the view. We called the front desk to request a change, but they refused, citing no availability. Yet, I had clearly booked a king-size room, and they said it was available at the time.
2. **Environmental Issues:** There was an unpleasant smell near the elevator on the first floor. In the room, we couldn't adjust the air conditioning mode ourselves. For example, when we visited, the temperature was almost summery, but we were told only heating was available. The lighting was dim, and one light fixture was faulty. The soundproofing was poor, and we could hear the TV from the next room.
3. **Attitude Problem:** Despite the room being hot, no one responded or did anything about it.

__CFT010000001607****My trip to Moganshan was spurred by a rare good weather weekend and a spontaneous decision. I blindly booked this B&B on Trip.com simply because I liked its name, 'Moshangyin'. I'm just a hopelessly spontaneous person. My suitcase packed clothes for tomorrow, my camera, and a bottle of red wine. I specifically booked a room with a bathtub, hoping to get tipsy under a sky full of stars before drifting off to sleep.
However, the reality was I ended up sharing that bottle of wine over a staff meal at the B&B. I met the lovely and fun Sister Fen, known as 'Moganshan's Queen', and the incredibly approachable and wise B&B owner, Da Ling. She cooked me delicious shredded pork noodles and helped me take many great photos. I was the only guest who got to join that meal, simply because I was the only solo guest at the whole B&B – how both sad and interesting is that? In my heart, Moshangyin in Moganshan definitely deserves a five-star review.
