The Haiyue Hotel (Qinghai Yangguang Haiyue Jiudian) is located in central Xining, nearby the Central Square and the main commercial area. Xining Railway Station is just 4 km (2 mi) away while it will take around 40 minutes to reach the airport by car.Both Chinese and Western cuisine is available, with the Chinese restaurant serving mainly north-western food and Cantonese dishes. After a long day guests can head to the on-site bar to unwind with a beverage.For those travelling on business there are a number of meeting rooms at your disposal as well as the services of the business center.In their spare time guests can make use of this Xining hotel's spa, sauna and massage facilities, or hit the gym for something more active. In the evening pay a visit to the on-site nightclub or belt out some tunes in a private karaoke room. Parking is provided for free.
"The hotel room and its bathroom are very large spacious and they would meet four star hotel standard if they were kept clean and well maintained. But the carpet throughout the hotel needs to be changed and only one (and two later) out of four elevators was (were) working that caused big problems when all room were occupied. Guest reported the problem to the local police and a second elevator started to work one day later. Overall a great asset but very poor managed."

QQiqibalabaladeLocation: It's very close to the high-speed train station, only a 10-minute walk away. Despite that, the overall environment is very quiet, not particularly noisy, making for a peaceful night's sleep.
Service: The service was excellent and very attentive. Staff members greeted me every time I entered or left the hotel lobby.

GGuest UserI had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. Its location right opposite the main square is super convenient for tourists, with plenty of buses right outside and taxis easily available. The room was well-equipped, even featuring a mini-fridge, which was handy for storing yogurt I bought. The hotel offers free parking; you just need to get a ticket from the front desk before you leave. Both the hotel staff and the front desk team were very friendly and provided excellent service.
The hotel also offers a complimentary afternoon tea, featuring some local Qinghai specialties, which runs until the evening. You can just drop by whenever you like, it's really good and the ambiance is lovely. The restaurant is quiet enough for conversations with friends or colleagues. What's more, they have a free 'goodnight' congee service in the evenings, which can be delivered right to your room. They offer a different flavor every day, which is a really thoughtful touch.

The room was sparkling clean, and the bedding was perfectly comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud. The staff were friendly and attentive, paying attention to every detail. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. This was definitely the best choice of our trip. FF SheikhThe rooms are very big and spacious! Really helps one feel relaxed.
The only problem we experienced was that there was a smoke smell in our rooms which was a surprise given we had selected non smoking rooms. The hotel staff made things right though immediately after we complained by switching our rooms.
The rest of our stay was great.
The location is pretty good with a lot of halal eating options nearby.

JJifanxixiaolangpiBack in Xining, I didn't hesitate to choose the Wanda Vista Hotel again. The hotel entrance had a lovely aroma that immediately uplifted our spirits. The grand and bright lobby also helped to alleviate our altitude sickness. Since it was a holiday, there were many guests, but everyone was queuing in an orderly fashion. Upon entering the room, we could see the mountain view. At this time of year, green shoots are just starting to appear, giving a vibrant and flourishing feel.
The breakfast service was warm and attentive, creating a comfortable and pleasant dining atmosphere. The variety and taste of the food met our needs perfectly.
Originally, there was an airport shuttle bus stop right outside the hotel, but it wasn't operating recently. I asked the hotel staff, and they mentioned that due to a recent state visit and subsequent traffic control, the service hasn't been restored yet. I hope the airport shuttle service will be back up and running next time I return, making travel more convenient.

MM345863****Choosing the Park Plaza Hotel for my Xining trip was a fantastic decision; from the moment I stepped into the lobby until check-out, I was continuously impressed. This is absolutely a top recommendation for accommodation when traveling in high-altitude regions!
As part of the Jin Jiang chain, the hotel's quality is outstanding. Upon entering, I was immediately drawn to the grand and elegant decor. The bright, clean environment, combined with the front desk staff's warm smiles, instantly melted away my travel fatigue. Check-in was efficient and thoughtful; the staff were soft-spoken, answered all my questions, and professionally handed over the room card with both hands. The whole process was smooth, and they even patiently answered my questions about local attractions – truly a great first impression.
My room experience exceeded all expectations! The spacious room, around 50 square meters, felt incredibly open. The smart home system made everything convenient, with voice control for curtains and lights being super easy to use. The Simmons mattress was just the right firmness, ensuring a restful sleep whether I was tired from sightseeing or a business trip. What was most thoughtful, especially considering the dry high-altitude climate, was the in-room humidifier and complimentary hot compress salt packs. After a day of exploring, relaxing with these really melted away all my fatigue. The bathroom had a dry-wet separation design, and the international brand toiletries were reassuring to use. The coffee machine with capsule coffee and complimentary soda water at the tea station were also lovely touches – every detail showed genuine care.
The amenities were also incredibly comprehensive! The gym on the 20th floor had excellent equipment, and the self-service laundry room was clean, tidy, and regularly disinfected, which is so practical for long-term travelers. Dining was another highlight; the Tingyuan Halal Restaurant on the 3rd floor served authentic Qinghai specialties. The hand-grabbed lamb, stir-fried noodles (kàng guō), and traditional yogurt were delicious. Enjoying a barbecue in the evening breeze was incredibly pleasant. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety, ensuring a great start to the day.
The hotel's location is also excellent, with convenient transportation nearby, making it easy to get to the train station or city attractions. Whether for family trips, business travel, or romantic getaways, the diverse room types can meet every need. I honestly couldn't find any faults during my stay; both comfort and value for money were exceptional. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Xining!

TTravel CatWe liked this hotel and the room was comfortable and it is about a 10 minute walk to the train station. The gym was located on the top floor. Our recommendation is it could be cleaner, especially putting the equipment on shelves instead of lying around on the ground. There were many places to eat around the hotel within a 10 minute walk and the market for the caterpillar fungus was right behind the hotel. This was very interesting.

11860011****My stay at Qinghai Kaiyuan Grand Hotel in Xining completely exceeded my expectations. Every moment, from check-in to check-out, was incredibly comfortable and pleasant. I absolutely have to sing its praises!
First off, the service was exceptionally warm and attentive, making the entire experience fantastic. As soon as I arrived, a doorman proactively helped me with my luggage and directed me to the Sky Lobby on the 21st floor. Check-in was super efficient, and they even thoughtfully recognized my member status and upgraded my room for free, along with complimentary fresh welcome fruit. The 24-hour front desk was always responsive to my needs; whether I needed directions or extra items, they were quick to assist. The staff were friendly and professional in every detail, adding a touch of warmth to my trip.
Secondly, the facilities were comprehensive and high-end, ensuring a very comfortable stay. The design of the Sky Lobby was simply stunning, blending Chinese style with panoramic views. In the evening, I even caught a breathtaking sunset – perfect for photos! My room was spacious and bright, with a well-designed layout covering over 50 square meters. It featured a soft sofa, a large desk, and even a humidifier to combat the dry climate in the Northwest, which was a very thoughtful touch. The guest rooms were fully intelligent, with features like sensor lighting and electric blackout curtains adding a futuristic feel. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area and a bathtub, and the toiletries were high-quality. The King Koil mattress provided an amazing sleep experience. The hotel also boasts a free gym, a table tennis room, a book bar, and a tea room – perfect for either exercise and relaxation or quiet reading. The amenities truly cater to various needs.
What truly surprised me was the breakfast – it was abundant and unique. Served at the buffet restaurant on the 5th floor, it covered everything from Chinese and Western to Halal cuisine, with an incredibly wide variety. There was freshly prepared Lanzhou beef noodles, authentic Halal 'Sazi Mahua' (fried dough twists), and other local specialties, along with hot dishes, cold dishes, congee, bread, seasonal fruits, and excellent freshly ground coffee and squeezed juices. I particularly recommend the hotel's yogurt; its rich and creamy texture was delicious with grains or fruit. The dining area was spacious and clean, with plenty of seating, so there was no need to wait in line – a perfect start to an energetic day.
Additionally, the hotel's location is superb. It's right next to Xining Railway Station, just a few minutes' walk away. Within a 1-kilometer radius, there's a night market, large shopping malls, and the distinctive Mojia Street pedestrian area. It's also close to the Dongguan Great Mosque and the Huangshui River, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and finding food. The free public parking also eased any concerns for those traveling by car. It offers incredible value for money.
In summary, Xining Qinghai Kaiyuan Grand Hotel excelled in every aspect, including service, facilities, and dining. It's perfectly suited for both business trips and leisure travel. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Xining and highly recommend it to everyone!
