A must-stay accomodation in the Bedugul area! This is the fourth or fifth time I am back at Homm Saranam since 2017 and never once did they disappoint. The view is just spectacular from the hotel lobby as well as the room (get the superior or deluxe room at level 1 for the great view of the landscape!) Less than 15 min drive from Ulun Danu Bratan Temple. For those seeking halal food, there is Warung Gemitir located just a short walk away from the hotel. Convenience store is also available within walking distance.
With sacred Mount Agung as its backdrop and unimpeded views of the Lombok Strait Amankila enjoys a breathtaking hilltop spot in the historic Karangasem Regency on Balis east coast. References to Balinese culture abound - in the motifs inspired by the water palace at nearby Ujung in the paras stone decorating the stilted and thatched suites and in the spectacular infinity pool that cascades in three tiers down the hillside reminiscent of a rice paddy. Stretching from hilltop to private beach the property lies within reach of atmospheric temples and artisan villages.
Raised on stilts and thatched with alang-alang Amankilas 31 suites - nine with private pools - enjoy ocean or garden views and consummate privacy. Decorated with inlaid pearl and coconut-shell furniture all suites feature canopied kingsize beds a living area large bathroom with a soaking tub and an outdoor terrace.
In addition to Amankilas main dining venues guests can enjoy daily afternoon tea on the steps of the library. Staff in traditional dress supply guests with Indonesian ginger tea Bali kopi and cakes.
The Spas traditional Balinese baths scrubs and wraps are complemented by open-air treatments among the palms.
Amankilas secluded beaches are perfect for romantic dining while the three-tiered pool is a focal point for larger gatherings.

A beautiful place with so much potential but....
On our first night, we heard a rat going around the roof allllllllll night. We woke up and found rat poop everywhere even near bed. We asked for room change, and we didn't hear anything at night anymore after chaging our room, but every morning we found rat poops near bed.
Also, not being able to use Grab is a huge issue. Local drivers charge ridicuolous amount of money so if you are planning to tour around ubud center, then this resort is not for you.

I visited Beji Ubud hotel during the pandemic. However, it turns out to be the best decision I made in 2020. The hotel has 5 swimming pools, the best one is the one that has view of forests and feels like we are swimming above the cliff. When I swim there (5 times in 3 days), there was only me. It does feel like a private swimming pool. If you want to feel at peace, and close to the nature, this is the place you should go to. I'd recommend you go on weekdays and hopefully you'd get the pool for yourself. Trust me and thank me later. The staffs are very kind and informative. The location is near a 24 hour minimart and few restaurants, when you at the gate just go left. You'll find many restaurants and cafe which are very affordable. The room service provides affordable foods like noodles, pasta, burger, rice in case you're too lazy to go out. The room is SO big and not old, if you want a bathtub, they have it too! That was the first thing I did when I arrived. The shower has water heater. The bed is kinda ok, not complaint about it tho. But man, the pools you should try! I love love it.

The hotel is great, with beautiful views, good service, and rich breakfast choices. There is yoga and SPA, and the gym is small. There is only one mountain road in the mountains, so if you go out to play, the round trip will take a long time. The mist is shrouded and the sunset is charming.
Free shuttle bus to Tamblingan Lake and Hidden Gate Wanagiri: We are a hotel specialist who will shuttle you to Tamblingan Lake. The lake is very big and you can spend money to row a boat, 500K for four people. It's very quiet, suitable for relaxing and walking, and there are people fishing on the shore.

The hotel is indeed relatively old, and the location is relatively secluded, far away from the main road, which is very suitable for relaxing. Breakfast is not a buffet, but a la carte, which is delicious. Because I had to go to a meeting very early, I asked the hotel to help me pack a portion, which was very rich. The monkeys in the hotel will come to the balcony and roam around on the roof, but they are relatively gentle and do not approach people, so they are quite safe.

The quality of accommodation is a key ingredient in any holiday experience, and Kamandalu Ubud made our Bali holiday a truly positive experience. The resort is located at the outskirts of the city centre, making it not only convenient to travel to the bustling centre but also a retreat from urban areas if you wish to stay in to enjoy the comprehensive amenities such as pools, spas, yoga and restaurants. The daily breakfast is delicious and fresh, with a different variety everyday. The resort is super well maintained, clean and set amidst a beautiful landscape with the sights and sounds of nature bringing you away from the stresses and worries from everyday life. Most importantly, the service is top notch with staff who are carrying a smile always, very attentive to our needs even in the most unexpected situations. Thank you to the team at Kamandalu Ubud for making Bali proud.

Bali has a lot of beautiful hotels from the rice fields of Ubud, to the beaches of Nusa Dua, the cliffs of Ulawatu to the busy streets of Kuta. I've been to Bali 3x and tried 4 hotels and by far this is the best hotel I've booked and lucky we did. It exceeded our expectations way beyond we can imagine. We went off season in early December so the hotel is not fully booked. We felt it's our own private villa - the privacy is spot on. The hotel is about 20 mins from Ubud Center and 1.5 hrs from Denpasar. The price is really affordable for our standard room at just 80 SGD per night plus breakfast. We took a private car going to hotel and coming back we took the hotel's free shuttle service from Ubud Palace. The lobby is amazing - spacious, clean, and refreshing. The hotel's décor is Balinese with a touch of European design. The yellowish white marbles were very shiny and elegant. They even have a Grand Piano which I tried and a Balinese Gembalan. The lobby itself has an amazing view of the jungle and the river Ayung that runs through it. The check in is fast and quick and we got amazing Pineapple fruit juice and cold towels provided to refresh us. We were booked in the 1F just right from the lobby and our room is standard with a King size bed and free breakfast. The room is ginormous - feels like an apartment. Like the whole hotel, the decor is Balinese/European inspired and the floors are made of marble. I really love the Balinese woman painting in our room. As you enter the cabinets to your left has a safety lock and slippers are provided. The mini bar has coffee/tea/complimentary bottled water provided and it has mini ref. To your right stands the might toilet which has tub, toilet and sink and it is massive. Toiletries are also provided and i really love their frangant soap. The tub, which is very big/clean and easy to fill-up water and toilet bowl has divider. The water pressure is really strong. The TV is placed in a cabinet and it has both local and cable channels. The wi-fi is really fast compared to other hotels I've stayed in Bali. The study table is really posh and elegant specially that lovely lamp shade. The King size bed is really clean, comfortable, soft and relaxing - 4 pillows provided and it has power outlets and lampshades on both sides. White/Yellow Plumeria Rubra which is really very fragrant. Situated beside the bed there is also a chair and side table and complimentary fruit basket provided on our first day. To top it off the balcony really seals the deal - a complete bird's eye panoramic view of the Ubud rainforest and the River Ayung, Bali's longest river that flows throught it. There is a river rafting actvity on this river and I could see the rafts and the cheering tourists on it - really unique experience. An abundance of birds are also endlessly flying through this forest. The pool is really the crown of this hotel. There are 2 public pools - the main one on the dining area which is the biggest and has fan shape and the o

Inspired by a traditional village Amandari is framed by jungle and rice terraces in Balis cultural heartland. Alang-alang-thatched houses some with pools - all with private tropical gardens - cosset guests under bamboo ceilings their suites elegantly decorated with teak and coconut-wood. The grounds are both sacred and essential to local families; children attend dance classes here and religious processions pass through regularly leading down the steps that spill below Amandari to a 7th-century stone tiger - a motif repeated throughout the property. Follow the road out of the village to hike or bike the emerald-green landscape or head further afield for artisan villages - hidden temples and the palaces and boutiques of Ubud.
Overlooking a tranquil lily pond the Spas offerings range from massages and manicures to traditional Balinese treatments.
Both Indonesian and Western dishes are specialities at the open-air Restaurant or dine intimately in the rainforest with a private chef.
Set amid aromatic frangipani trees and the enveloping warmth of a Balinese village Amandari is perfectly suited to special occasions of all kinds.

Eating breakfast in front of slowly dispersing clouds is the best experience of this trip. It may be that the hotel is relatively old, the toilets are not temperature sensitive smart toilets, and the facilities are average; the environment is good, open the balcony to enjoy a lush canyon privately; the service is the biggest failure in this trip, and the most anticipated local experience activities have been repeatedly communicated It was only three times that the choice of chargeable items was provided, and during the whole check-in process, I didn't realize the intention at all, only a professional fake smile. As a whole, it is an experience that is not as good as 2,000 yuan in domestic intercontinental, and it is not recommended.

GGuest UserThe service and hospitality from the staff were 10/10 🫶🏼
We were welcomed with watermelon + lime juice, while completing our simple check in process. Then escorted by the Operations Manager Dewa to have a mini tour around the compound before heading to our room.
The in-house chef is great at preparing vegetarian food, and is good at coming up with vegan options. The breakfast spread is really good, we were often way too full by the end of it 😆
It’s nice being in the middle of the forest - fresh air, nice nature vibes - except you definitely have to take extra steps to prevent bugs from coming near you.
The bathroom is super spacious and rustic, and comes with a bathtub made of stone and a toilet fitted with bidet seat. We didn’t use the bathtub as I’m pregnant and it’s set on top of stones (i feel like it may be dangerous if i have to step out of there 🙈).
Our room has a TV with netflix which is really nice to have as entertainment 😄 since we did not end up using the private pool outside the room. It was a bit stale and dirty on the first two days of our stay, before cleaning happened on the 3rd day.
Free shuttle services to Ubud town area daily! Do note that Grab likely would not work here, better luck with Gojek based on our experience 👍
Overall, definitely recommend this retreat for anyone looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city!

I will start by saying the cuisine was superb. I used to live in Bali 10years ago for 5years and I am passionate about food. It was so good to be able to eat authentic Balinese cuisine which was cooked authentically with all the spices and cooking methods. A big congratulations to the chef whose beef Rendang was better than Potatoes Heads Indo restaurant and for the Ayam Betutu which was exactly like a Balinese mother would prepare. The staff were young but enthusiastic and helpful. For me this was great to experience an authentic Balinese experience again after so much has been lost in the developments down south. Congrats to you all And the mountain views are spectacular when the clouds clear
EEmmawenAfter arriving at the hotel, we paid the difference and changed to a villa. The one with a swimming pool was quite comfortable. The resort area is relatively large and you can see several plots of land where villas are still being built, so the environment is not exquisite enough, but if you just want to relax and have a good rest and stay by yourself. The villa is pretty good too. The facilities inside the villa are good and the privacy is strong. I think it will be perfect if I stay there in a year or two. In addition, the restaurant in the hotel is good and you can see the beautiful sunset.
MMohamed Basir Bin DavoodWe had a lovely stay from the 11th to 14th October. The villa is clean, very well maintained and the service is impeccable. The private pool is of very good size and is set amidst a manicured private garden. The staff listened and attended to all our requests. Buggy and car is available to transport us to the the restaurant just beside the beach or to the neighbourhood to buy some provisions.
The restaurant serves great breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant staff are professional, polite and absolutely amazing with their smiles. Dressed in traditional costumes especially on Thursdays, the look is impeccable.
Will certainly return to Desa Pramana Swan when we return to Bali.
JJisunLocation can be good if you wish to stay with no disturbing. It can be inconvenient if you wish to go central.
Service-wise, I have to compare apple to apple which is my previous stay in 5 star hotel in Bali central.
I stayed in Pool villa (lower).
Seres, as of July 2022, resort no longer offer any shuttle bus nor activities so I feel quite lack of services too. Service quality as in 5star hotel, english level of staff and some housekeeping details can be improved.
My first impression was really disappointing when I checkin because of this 3 factors
1. I have to wait 1 hrs before checkin 2pm when I arrive in 1hour. Generally many hotels in singapore and bali also allowed me to go in earlier.
2. Even after they take 1hr+ of preparation , both 2 phones in the room were not working. Then I needed go upup to tell them and then it took 30mins to fix. And no lightbulb in my standing light too.
3. Near the bed, many insects body and part of wings left over hear & there. This was really bad but next day improved which means that first day housekeeping was not done well.
Cleaness & Amenities,
Bedding are really dusty so I started blocked throat and coughing once I sit down which never happened to me in my 7days in bali.
Overall, it can be good stay with good experience of pool villa & floating breakfast (you must try if you are in pool villa!)
This hotel, its quite young as 5year old, need many improvements in terms of service & housekeeping if they need long-run.
I paid Sdg$200 per night so I would say 8tar in terms of value-in-price. I will not comeback.
Thank you

Ddy1xIt was a great travel experience. I only stayed for three days due to a rushed schedule, but it really made me feel like I didn’t want to leave. Every employee is cheerful and enthusiastic. If you have any questions, they can be solved in time. They can chat with you enthusiastically. You can communicate with every staff member in English without any barriers.
The hotel's rooms are carefully decorated and equipped with complete facilities. The price of more than 2,000 yuan is really a bargain compared to first-tier hotels!
The restaurant is really great! From the presentation to the taste, there is no feeling of being perfunctory at all, and they can enthusiastically recommend dishes to you (they recommended another local wide noodle to us combined with the original pasta, which is really delicious!). The people you interact with the most every day are the restaurant employees. Every one of them is very welcoming and makes you feel like you belong.
The location is also very good, basically in the middle of various attractions. The hotel can provide motorcycle rentals which is very convenient! When you go out and go to the left, you are on the hiking route that is highly recommended on xhs (the end point is karsa cafe).
All in all, it’s really worth it and makes me want to stay there more often in the future!

GGuest UserThe location was in a very scenic spot, it was quiet, and didn't get much rain while the rest of Bali got more rain, so I was very happy. The only problem is that its a 2-3 hour drive from the airport with a lot of winding around corners and going up and down hills - true torture for someone like me that gets carsick. People just need to be prepared for the drive, but it's worth it. If you're the type of traveler that wants nightlife and partying, then stick close to the airport in Denpasar instead. If you want a relaxing beach vacation like me (still plenty of alcohol at the beach bar), then this is your place.
The food was absolutely superb for lunch and dinner! The breakfast was average, more western style, but maybe I'm biased because I'm not a breakfast person anyways. You can always just sleep in and go for lunch. The pizzeria's pizza was perfection, and all other menu foods I tried, I loved.
The service was great, everyone was very kind and helpful. On my last night when I was feeling too ill to eat, the restaurant staff made a free pot of tea for me and I was so grateful. The resort also called a doctor for me, which I didn't even know was an option, and I was so grateful.
Lastly, the resort was stunning! Everything made of stone felt so safe and clean, everything was family friendly, there's two beautiful pools, and the beach was unparalleled. The beach bar & restaurant was perfectly situated so you can watch both the sunset and the sunrise and you can relax while your kids or friends play. Lots of outdoor space to relax, and the resort provided a free shuttle service to nearby places. There was even a gift shop that also sold sunscreen and aloe vera. And the accommodations! The bed was wonderful, the room was spacious, all amenities provided, and the shower was wonderful.

Lia and all the restaurant staff were amazing, friendly and went out of their way to make our stay amazing. It was my birthday and the hotel gave me flowers in my room and when we booked the 1000 candle dinner they gave me a cake and sang happy birthday too. I received a beautiful gift when I left. AAcquablue123Friend suggested this place. 🤷♀️ Pande the owner gives me a price w/o bfast; over and over bringing up about how she gave me such a great price 🤔. After being there 3 days, I think to take a look online about the place and learn that the published price with bfast is 20% lower. 😳 - My “do not disturb” sign on the door was ignored every time. Privacy is not respected. 😳 **Was told I could use the kitchen for light cooking when I arrived and the woman got very upset with me for wanting to heat something up in the kitchen my 3rd day there. 🤷♀️Her son lunged at me like he wanted to hit me for upsetting his mother; all because I wanted to cook something- as was initially told I could do. Didn’t do it......too much aggravation 😳😳😳 Extra surprises- -They tried to get me to buy my own jug of water- meaning that they didn’t want to supply “theirs” -They were out on the patio in front of my room and woke me up numerous times - At the end, they blocked in my scooter so that I could not leave easily, the day after the kitchen incident. One can only assume that their rationale was that someone who wants to boil some fish must be a thief and will leave without paying 😆 -They were constantly trying to sell items and services. Money money money- seemed to be their mantra. Left earlier than planned- the focus on getting money from my wallet left me with a creepy feeling. There were some positives, Clean, nice view, I liked the ducks in the yard. Better to go elsewhere

GGuest UserThe small road to go is a bit difficult to find. The driver said that there is a problem with navigating according to Google Maps. He has been asking the villagers for the way. Fortunately, the locals are very enthusiastic and know this place. Lots of locals spend weekends there and lots of people order BBQ in the evening. The view of the volcano, the volcanic lake, and the natural environment are amazing! Although the room is not big, the 1.8-meter bed is enough for a family of three to sleep. It has an independent bathroom, and the software can order dinner and breakfast. The price is reasonable. There is an additional charge for more than 2 free bottles of water, about 1.5 yuan per bottle. Overall very recommended.
