Chambai Hotel

Thus was an interesting place. Looked like it used to be something, but isn't in the greatest shape. We stayed here as part of our safari. We were given a 2 bedroom with a full kitchen and living space. While it was big, the bathrooms (3 of them) were tiny and when you took a shower the entire floor got wet. Very few plug ins available. The breakfast was OK, but the dinner was mostly inedible. I'm not a very picky eater, but my fish was super salty and smelled bad.

A fantastic hotel to stay while enjoying Lake Naivasha and Nakuru NP. The a la carte dinner made a nice change from buffet dinners at safari camps and other hotels. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and hot water worked well. All the staff were friendly and accomodating!

How is even Chambai a hotel in the first place?? Its a lodging. No bed switches,when you want to sleep, you have to walk to the door to switch off lights, the find your way to the bed in total darkness. You book a double room(for two) but there is only one towel, one pair of slippers, one bottle of water and everything is in singles. No enough sockets to charge phones, Two people cannot charge phone at the same time. Bathroom and rest room are together, so squeezed that, No enough space to bath. Water take ages to heat up. On top of this,you pay for accommodation as if its a 5 star.
