Hotels near Elgin Estate Fall - 2, Nuwara Eliya

We checked in at Araliya Red on 9th September 2024 and Checked out on 12th September 2024. It was a great experience with perfect location in Nuwara Eliya. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were welcome with great smile. Meals were so good. Special thanks goes to Ms.Sanduni Somawardana ( Group HR Manager) my friend who recommended us to stay in this hotel and Mr. Chanaka (Operation Manager - Araliya Red) who always treat us with his exceptional Service and welcome. Can't wait to visit here next time.

From check in time to check out we were treated like royalty. Sanath the butler did a wonderful job making our stay comfortable and enjoyable . He brought all of our bags in to our rooms, made our beds, waited our table for breakfast/dinner, and made sure to bring our morning tea/coffee right on time. We truly felt like we were home. The food was absolutely delicious, Chef Kelum put a lot of love and passion into his cooking and always made sure everything was to our liking. The attention to detail and the effort put in by these two made our stay unforgettable. If you are looking for a serene/peaceful location with beautiful views and great service I highly recommend JetWing Broomfield. This villa is also owned by the Bandarainke family and has a lot of history the decorations and furniture gives it a very beautiful old school feel. I will be sure to visit again.

As a transition hotel between the two Resplendent Ceylon hotels, this British-style hotel located in Noir Aire is good. The lobby, restaurant, and courtyard facilities are rich. The food in the restaurant is also diverse and delicious, and the price is very cost-effective. , the only disadvantage is that due to the high altitude of 2400 meters, the temperature is low, the room is cold, there is no air conditioning, and the cup feels a bit damp.

One of the most satisfying hotels in this trip, the rooms are huge and the decoration is luxurious. Attentive English service, breakfast and dinner are great. I heard that there were many Chinese guests before the bombing, and this time the hotel was a Chinese. I heard that I had to spend more than a thousand nights, we only need more than 600. I hope to get better soon!

Appearance: It is as exquisite as the building blocks I played with when I was a child, and it is very good for taking pictures. Interior: Noble and elegant, full of age but not old at all. Catering: There are buffet and Indian restaurant a la carte for dinner. We choose to taste the authentic Indian meal. The curry is really quite enough, but it is acceptable. In particular, we would like to commend SanKaLpa who served us. He is a very humorous Yala guy. He enthusiastically recommends and introduces special delicacies for us, making our dining experience particularly comfortable👍 Service: Everyone is full of enthusiasm from the moment they enter the lobby, unlike some guides that discriminate against Chinese people, they don't feel it at all. Supporting facilities: The swimming pool is so beautiful, there are few people, and it is a little hidden; the small garden is also very pleasant to stroll around.

Arriving in the afterglow of the setting sun, the two-story small building of this villa is quite suitable for couples or a family of four. Since our tour guide only accompanies us for one day, we solved the dinner problem before arriving at the destination. If you don’t prepare dinner, the waiter at the hotel will use tutu Drive customers down the mountain to eat. But we have to come back before ten o'clock in the evening. Opposite the hotel is the highest mountain in Sri Lanka. We went there on 8 July 2022. We were the only guest in the hotel apparently. The hotel was hard to find as no proper signs guide the directions. Eventually we got there. On arrival we were told that only cash payment could be accepted, this we found rather strange as there were 2 Credit card machine present. The staff hardly spoke English though as it was becoming dark we decided to have diner in the restaurant. Please see the photo on the poor diner at the CheRiz. As said the staff hardly spoke English and by insisting and insisting we got half of what we wanted. The WIFI was not working at all until we found out that it was only working in the lobby area. After diner we went to our room and all lights were turned off in the main lobby area, so it was scary to sit down in the lobby where the Internet worked more likely than in our room. In the morning we had breakfast with some French fried and eggs. Please see photo, rather poor I would say. We were told that the owner was from New Zealand and he just left for New Zealand. On the check out we insisted to pay by CC but that was not possible the said. On top of that we could not receive a proper invoice. Only after insisting and insisting and trying, the credit card payment succeeded. Unfortunately we forgot a power bank in the room Elgin, our driver called the hotel and it was found in the room. Good news. A few hours later we had made a plan, without waisting petrol, to receive our power bank back. Therefore the hotel was called again with our recovery plan. We were told there was no power bank found at all. We were told to check our bagage better as there was no power bank in the hotel. The manager told us that she had asked the staff again and no power bank was found. So apart from trying to get cash instead of a genuine traceable credit card we were treated badly on the discovery of our power bank. Therefore for us this is not a trustworthy hotel. Avoid in all instances !
