Marriott's Royal Palms

This is an exceptional luxury property for the value. We have stayed at both the Marriott vacation villages in the World Center over the last few years and I would highly recommend either Sabal, or Royal Palms. The resort is an excellent get away from the hustle and bustle of the parks. We make sure to schedule one day to just be at the hotel! Cannot recommend enough. They go out of their way to help out, such as offering half day rates when your flight does not leave until the evening. Thanks to the whole team at Royal Palms!

Great place and family friendly! So clean and spacious

After reading the previous reviews, I was hesitant to book here. But Marriott's have always been the best in vacation resorts. I was not disappointed. Check in was a breeze, friendly, courteous, helpful associates. The grounds are immaculate. Pool area clean and relaxing. The villa was excellent, well appointed, clean and had plenty of towels, paper products, etc. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, coffee maker and dishwasher. Love the full size washer and dryer in the unit. We appreciated the screened porch, relaxing and enjoying the view and the sound of the water feature and the turtles sunning themselves in the warm sand and of course watching the golfers. There were no additional parking or resort charges. An added bonus was access to the Marriott Orlando World Center and the variety of restaurants. We used the shuttle over and didn't have to worry about parking and/or walking. They took you to the entrance and were continually back and forth until late at night. The laser light show at the pool area is unique. We also seen the fireworks at Disney from our villa each night. They were a good distance away, but we could easily see them. There were also many daily planned family activities, but we didn't participate because we were there to visit friends. The Royal Palms front desk must be attended all night. We checked out in the early a.m. hoping to get a head start on the I-4 traffic (I think it is 24-7) and the associate was helpful and pleasant - the perfect ending to a perfect week. The only things I would change is added handicap parking spaces and removal of the huge whirlpool tub from the main bedroom in order to expand the second bedroom.

I had high hopes based on the pics posted on this property. Check-in was smooth and prior to arrival I had requested a late check in due to travel delays. Staff was kind to follow up with text to ensure our safe arrival. I had requested a villa not on the ground floor and was told the property was at capacity and unable to accommodate. Totally understood but when I arrived at the unit the villa had a musty odor and was unpleasant. The bathrooms are dated and in need of a remodel. The water pressure extremely low in second bathroom and it took forever to shower. The windows need to be replaced to avoid draft and outside noise. Positive note: the villa was fully stocked with all supplies and I did not need housekeeping to enter the villa during our stay. Based on my experience, I won’t be returning to this villa in the future.

Overall great, but lack sufficient parking

Loved the location and the layout of the villas. Seems a bit outdated though...would be be great for some updates to the villa.

Second year staying in the villas for holiday matsuri and it was worth it once again! Villa staff always going above and beyond for everyone!

Based on all the positive reviews and pics, I booked my stay at the Marriott Royal Palms via ******* last year. Proms and cons Pros - convenient to Disney, outside property is clean and well kept, free parking, good recreation service, great amount of household supplies. No need for housekeeping to enter the room unless you need something. Cons - requested a room NOT on ground level, reception unable to accommodate due to max capacity. I was put in room 4456 which was on the far end of the property. Long walk to reception. When I opened the front door I was hit with a musty odor. It was just terrible. My teenage boys immediately started sneezing and I had to put them on allergy meds. Glass windows and sliding doors are thin and you can hear all outside noise clearly. Bedroom glass ceiling to floor window have draft. The bathrooms are dated and needs new caulking. The jet bathtub inside of master bedroom (literally in the bedroom) is an eye sore and hard to clean. With so many choices in Orlando, I will not be returning.
