Edgar Suites Saint-Lazare - Amsterdam

Let's start from the beginning. (6/7/8 October 2022) The apartment in Montmartre (1, Rue des Abbesses) that my friends and I had paid for (around €2,000 for 3 nights) and for which we had received confirmation from **** ******* and by the managers of the structure itself the day before arriving in Paris (with sending the codes to enter), when we arrived (9 pm) it was occupied by other people. The flat manager, making unclear excuses, assigned us another apartment (in another area and of a lower level) giving us via WhatsApp the address and the codes to enter the building in Rue d'Amsterdam and the staircase where our new one was located accommodation, which given the time we were forced to accept. The door of the new apartment was already open when we arrived and due to tiredness we did not realize that the flat manager had not given us the code to enter the apartment. The following morning, unhappy with the accommodation (which we checked on booking cost around €250 less per night), but excited about being in Paris and wanting to visit it, my friends and I went out, closing the door behind us. Only late in the evening (around 10.15pm), when we returned after dinner, arriving on the landing of the apartment, did we realize that we couldn't enter because we didn't have the code. After calling the flat manager to get the code and receiving the annoyed reply that we already had it, instead of apologizing and giving it to us, we had to insist and show him that in the WhatsApp where there were the codes for the door and the staircase there were no there was the one from the apartment. On the phone he was unable to explain himself (he gave numbers that didn't work) and although we asked him to write us the code in a new message, he never sent us this code. Furthermore, we asked him to come in person to open the door for us as we also thought that the opening mechanism was malfunctioning. We then also called the EDGAR SUITES MONTMARTRE structure to explain what had happened; but even the young lady was unable to help us. Once the flat manager arrived (almost an hour had passed by now), among other things trying to secretly film us with his cell phone, things didn't improve. He was visibly angry and continued to insist that we had the code. Only after saying that we would call the gendarmerie and having him speak directly on the phone to the young lady from Edgar Suites Montmartre, did he open the door for us using an unlock code. He was threatening towards us and behaved so inexplicably that we felt we were not safe in the apartment (for which once again he had not given us the code). So, once we entered, we took our luggage and informed the property that we would be leaving the apartment immediately due to the flat's behavior.

Beautiful, well-kept and impeccably clean apartment. Precise information for check-in and check-out. Central area, very close to the subway and station. We stayed in 5 and we were very happy. I advise!
