Hotel Apolonia Paris Montmartre, Sure Hotel Collection by BW

The hotel was modern. It had free coffee at the reception and they do address some minor issues almost immediately. My heater wasn’t working and they fixed it. I called the receptions and he personally went up to check. They also arranged cabs for me to get to the location where I wanted to go. The reception staff is very friendly. The maintenance staff was okay but maybe they could smile a bit. I am friendly but I got the feeling the cleaning staff was too busy to smile back. The location is closed to Montmarte but you have to hike for maybe 20-30 mins. If you are up for it, it would be a good exercise. There are restaurants The only downside for me is the space. The room I was in was tiny. My standard check in luggage was big enough to occupy a walking space. The hallway was also tiny and the elevator could maybe only accommodate four to five people. If the cleaners were around, you would have to wait a while for the elevator. Though the stairs are there for you to use if you’d like. Overall it was okay. A good place to stay for a night or two if you are planning to go around Montmarte.

This property is definitely budget. VERY small rooms- hardly room to walk around the bed, not to mention put a suitcase anywhere and be able to open it up. The bathroom was TINY- I could almost touch end to end (I'm 5'7") and when you bend over your bum touches either the toilet or the shower or the door. No place to put anything on the counter. My daughter and I had a queen room (which really means a full bed) and the comforter/duvet was too small for the bed, leaving half our bodies out from under the covers all night. We stayed 4 nights. The housekeeping was iffy, often the trash was not taken out nor tissue replenished. It seemed they just made the bed and left. We did not pay for breakfast, so I can't speak to that. There is a lovely boulangerie literally 2 doors down from the hotel and we picked up excellent croissants and sandwiches and other pastries from there every day. The location is great. There is a metro stop only a short walk away, which was very handy. The area seems quite safe with locals around.

The service was good enough.

Bathroom very small and toilet pan very close to the shelves. Dual flush was not working and the toilet had been used and not flushed when we took the room. The lift smelt of, not sure but like cats wee! Because it was raining when we arrived difficult to dry coats as only place to hang clothes was in the wardrobe. If you put them on the hooks in the bathroom you couldn’t use the toilet! Apparently normal to have a very small room in Paris. Honestly a slightly bigger room than I was expecting for Paris! But what makes this place a great hotel to stay for your visit is the staff. They are so warm and welcoming! I heard horror stories about how Parisians might treat Americans, and the staff here blew away any stereotype. They were kind and helpful - offering recommendations. They also helped us with our French phrases. I would gladly stay here again.

Wonderful little hotel in Montmartre. Rooms were clean and modern. Staff were really lovely. It was a short walk to the metro and had a lovely bakery next door. Fantastic , affordable option in Paris. Loved the free coffees / hot chocolates and sweetie jar too. Lovely to have outdoor terrace to sit in too.

We preferred to stay in the hotel but we were told that our accommodations would be at an apartment across the street.

I enjoy staying in this hotel with a great staff, comfortable room and close to restaurants and public transport.
