As the last stop before heading into the desert on our Southern Xinjiang trip, this hotel in Alar was a wonderful surprise. We initially saw it recommended on Gaode and Trip.com and booked it on a whim, but the experience far exceeded our expectations. The overall vibe is a full-on, retro American style, with a consistent theme from the lobby to the guest rooms. The lobby features herringbone flooring paired with vintage leather sofas, and the walls adorned with retro posters give it a lot of character, making for a pleasant waiting and lounging experience. The room itself was spacious, with a sophisticated brown wood and dark green color palette. Thoughtful details included ambient lighting strips above the bed and nightlights under the bed. The bedding was soft and clean. The retro desk and the TV integrated into a wooden frame added a great sense of design. If you're a fan of retro style, this place is a must-try, and it offers excellent value for money. All the staff were genuinely friendly and polite, making us feel right at home. Highly recommended!

The ticket was changed a day late, so I found this hotel near the airport. I didn't expect it to be unexpectedly good. The hotel room was clean and tidy, the area was quite large, and the bedding was comfortable. Next to the hotel is a big park, and the window looks good. There is a market not far away, not far from a local food street (walk 7-8 minutes). The service attitude of each employee is very good, and there is a drop-off service. Breakfast is full.

As soon as I checked in, I discovered that the toilet in the guest room was not draining smoothly. I first reported the toilet problem to the room service staff, but no one came to fix it after waiting for half an hour. Then I went to the front desk to report the problem, and the front desk urged me. After waiting another 20 minutes, no one came to fix it. Finally, a friendly young lady at the front desk changed my room, which calmed my anxiety. On the way to change rooms, I met the ”uncle” who came to fix the toilet and he looked very impatient... I wonder if the hotel leadership can see my review (and what measures will be taken). Let’s talk about it. I’m satisfied with the accommodation.
