First, let me mention the hygiene – it was truly excellent. They provided disposable towels, and the toothbrushes were of very good quality. There were three of us staying, and the owner even provided three pairs of slippers. Upstairs, there was a ******* clothing experience; the owner's sister even helped braid our hair and explained ******* culture to us. Since we were students without a car, the owner picked us up and took us to the guesthouse. When we wanted to go to town for food, the owner also offered to drive us there. The next day, we were going to Daocheng Yading, and the owner wanted to take us to the scenic area entrance, but since our tour leader had already picked us up, he declined. The whole family was very welcoming (including Little Golden Retriever Potato). You could tell the owner's brother and sister were dedicated to running the guesthouse.

If you ever need a place to calm your excitement, or a spot to let your happiness linger a little longer before heading to Daocheng Yading airport, Sanmao is the place for you. It’s the perfect way to say goodbye to the vastness of Western Sichuan after a challenging hike. It is cozy, aesthetic, clean, and spacious enough for your body to finally relax. It is best if you arrive on a sunny day. You can sit under the tree with the sunlight dancing, music playing, and the two birds nearby - one trying to sing you a song, the other chirping a 'nihao' to welcome you. In that moment, you will feel your heart at peace. If you ever need anything, the owner is always there to support you in a heartbeat (They speak English fluently!). If Western Sichuan is a dream, Sanmao is the perfect ending to a memory you will hold dear for a lifetime.

The environment is okay, you can see Xiannairi across the window, but the water was cut off that night, and the hot water was not very hot. There is an electric heater, but the price is a bit expensive.

Value for money. Exceptional hospitality. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. This was my second stayed after moved out from Yading Village. They greeting me with big smile. The couples also very helpful in getting me the transportation into the national park as well as to the airport. I had a very pleasant stayed towards entire journey and this place is highly recommended. Sometimes is the people who makes you remember the most.

This is an exceptionally good hotel! So good that even a lazy person like me who rarely writes reviews has to give it a thumbs up. I've stayed in countless hotels all over the country, and this is truly the most comfortable and cost-effective one I've ever stayed in. The location isn't particularly hard to find, and the decor is excellent—very new and clean. The rooms are large, the beds are very comfortable, and the blankets are soft. It's quiet in a residential area, with minimal noise at night. If the entire building were converted into a hotel, it wouldn't be inferior to many five-star hotels. There's a convenience store downstairs, making shopping very convenient. The hotel owner's service attitude is also excellent (part of this review is because of his good attitude; otherwise, I'm too lazy to bother with follow-up reviews). The sign board is in Chinese only. So, it is quite difficult for foreigner like me to get to the right building. Even my local taxi driver can not. Fortunately, the owner lady and friends are sittings at the roadside waiting for customers or passerby who looks for an accommodation. The owner lady is very generous and servicible. She helps me carrying my big luggage from street to the homestay. She also show me how to use facilities in the room. She speaks only chinese but I can not. So, she suggest me to contact her via Wechat which I can use translation feature. In the morning before I am going to visit Yading Scenic Spot, she offers me an treking pole too. Nevertheless, Due to the early departure time of bus to Xianggelila, I figure out whether I move to stay in town for another day after finishing 3-day booking here. She asks me if I have nothing to do in town and decide to continue staying. She can provide a free pick-up to the bus station by her family car at 5.30 a.m. That is great. The room is small and simple but tidy. Bed is firm and comfortable. It comes with electronic blanket which helps alot because it is freezing at night. Bathroom and toilet are clean. Hot water is provided all day in night. Shower pressure is strong and easy to adjust the temperature. However, bathroom and toilet are humid and difficult to dry because of the cold weather. Wifi is strong.

This hotel has its issues. The overall location, sanitation, and environment are excellent, and the hostess's overall service was also excellent. But why did they give them a bad review for the service? I don't know if it's her son or her husband who's the one with the worst brains. I added him on WeChat to get an invoice, but I sent him a screenshot by mistake. I originally booked the wrong room type at this hotel, so I changed it, so I sent him the wrong screenshot. He got furious. The voicemail said I'd already checked out, so why would they issue an invoice? They're legally responsible, and then he blocked me. I tried to verify my identity by telling him that the screenshot was wrong and that I actually stayed at their hotel. He blocked me and refused to let me go. I'm just asking you for your bad temper. Working in the service industry, are you out of your mind?!

The best choice for a trip to Daocheng Yading is undoubtedly the Crowne Plaza Yading Risong Gongbu Hotel. Located in the heart of Shangri-La town, its 2800-meter altitude is just right, avoiding altitude sickness while providing convenient access to the Yading scenic area entrance – a mere 15-minute drive to the sacred mountains. Upon arrival, a concierge proactively offered to help with luggage, a warm gesture spreading from the moment you stepped out of the car. Entering the double-height lobby, the ******* elements blend seamlessly with modern design. The hanging scroll depicting the three sacred mountains of Yading instantly evoked anticipation for the journey. The seated service during check-in was exceptionally attentive; staff member David offered ginger tea to dispel the chill of the journey and provided a detailed explanation of the scenic route and a guide map. The hotel's dining experience was a highlight of the trip. While the breakfast wasn't as lavish as in inland China, it was certainly excellent for the ******* region.

It was a great place for a Westerner to stay. The staff were very helpful. The location was great and there were plenty of food and drink options.Very close by

I was there twice, before and after visiting yading reserve. The first time was nice, the room and shower weren't the best but ok, and the lady at the reception was super helpful with all my questions. On the second time, there was a problem with the water which I only found out after I entered the shower. A small sign could have helped. Eventually I got the water for the shower but later I wanted to go for the toilet and couldn't flush since there were no water, and there was nobody at the reception to ask for help. They changed my bed and the wall near the new bed was filty, and somewhen after midnight they entered the room while I was asleep, turned the light on and started changing the covers for a new girl in the room. I'm sorry but that should have happened during daylight, not at this time, or they should have just given her one of the other vacant beds in the room.
