The entrance is a bit hard to find, so be careful not to walk past it. The receptionist spoke English and was friendly. The WiFi worked well (average speed, not fast). I booked a quiet room through trip.com, but my room faced the road and I could hear car horns and other noises. The hotel is just across the Church of Santiago Major where we started our Camino Portuguese from Vigo. It is along the route going through Rua Bourbon for 2.5 kilometers before turning right for ascent to the mountains for a great view of the Vigo estuary for most of the walk to Redondela.

I recently stayed at Hotel Maroa Vigo and had a fantastic experience. The hotel’s location is ideal, situated between Plaza de Compostela and the ferry terminal for the Cíes Islands, making it convenient for exploring both the city and the beautiful surrounding areas. The room was modern, clean, and very comfortable, offering all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any queries or recommendations for local attractions and dining. The only minor drawbacks were the absence of hair conditioner and a small kettle in the room to make a cup of tea but for the price of the room I will not complain.

A comfortable hotel with acceptable value for money. The staff are professional and friendly. It's very well located with ample parking just 50m away. The air conditioning was good and much needed during these hot days. The beds were comfortable, and the interior was well soundproofed. However, the soundproofing from the street needs improvement. Most days this wouldn't be an issue as it's a very quiet street, but on summer weekends, with people out enjoying themselves, it's more noticeable, which is understandable. Overall, it was very good. I'll stay here again when in Vigo.
