Amazing
GGuest UserVery satisfied stay experience. The host family is very friendly and welcoming. We have a lot of luggage. The room we originally booked is on the second floor. They are not afraid to trouble us to change the room on the first floor to avoid our luggage. The whole cabin is very cozyly furnished, typical English country house. At dinner we walked about ten minutes to Half Moon, a restaurant in their recommended town, and enjoyed a delicious English dinner. We highly recommend friends from Gatwick Airport to stay at this family hotel for one night and experience pure English country life.
XXiaofeixiangquanjiafuThe room is very big and beautiful! The hotel is a bit difficult to find but it is worth staying. The garden is very beautiful and you can eat or drink in the garden. The house is very historical. We lived in another separate house room next to the main building with a small garden.
HHarrydxbCheck-in was very simple with well detailed instructions. Room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Grounds and the rest of the house are well maintained and cleaned and make for great communal spaces. Very convenient for the airport and a great pub less than 5 minutes walk away!
SSonwwuyeFacilities: Fairly complete, no air conditioning, but a fan. Toiletries are provided, but no toothbrush or slippers.
Cleanliness: Good, clean and tidy. Located right on the highway, it can be a bit noisy with traffic passing by late at night. Airport transfers cost £15-20 and arrive in a few minutes.
GGMeisterThis hotel offered a nice, but small, bedroom. As an airport hotel, it looks the part on entry: take note of the mirror at the reception, decorated around the frame with lots of badges from abroad.
I was surprised to see that the Saffron Grill Bar offers multiple food options, not just Indian cuisine that the name suggests, although I chose Indian food as I can’t say no to it. Drinks were a little on the pricey side, but on the plus side, they were typical of Indian cuisine (they had 1 draft beer, Kingfisher, the rest of the drinks were bottled or were spirits).
My only complaint was the shower. I was not staying for long, but when I did use the shower, I found that the hot water was not very hot, even when the temperature was set to its hottest.
