Hotels near The Andaman Barza, Phuket

I like the hotel which is not too far from tourist areas, convenient for foods which are walking distance. However, the wifi is not stable, it keep broken off, and need to reconnect. The speed is not up to my expectation.

Good location. 5 minute walk to the beach. Easy access to taxi's and tuk tuks right outside the hotel. Hotel is ”tired ” looking - several areas in need of repair around the pool (damaged tiles etc) jacuzzi didn't work. The shower in the room was shocking. Very low pressure and temperature changed from hot to cold throughout the shower. The glass door also wasn't long enough so the bathroom floor was soaked after every shower. Room very basic however clean enough. Lighting in the room was too low also which made the room seem rather dark. Robes,slippers and toiletries all provided and kept full throughout stay. More a 3 star resort than 4 in current condition

To be honest I am sad that I can’t put 5*stars for this hotel, but everything being “out of order” I can’t do it. I am not very sure why the owners have decided to open this hotel before everything is finished, because it just gives a costumer a very confusing experience. When we arrived we were told that the sauna is out of order, breakfast room is not finished, there is no poolside bar..basically a lot of things what are not finished, but when we booked it didn’t say in anywhere and was advertised as something that’s already there. When you arrive in a hotel and first thing you get is a row of bad news it makes you very disappointed. They told us that they will upgrade us in a better room, but actually the room they offered us was definitely NOT an upgrade. It had a smaller bed than the room before and there was no sitting area anymore. They were saying this is a more expensive room because it is one floor higher and has a view to the pool(!?) We told them that there is not even a couch anymore how can this be an upgrade? But they didn’t really understand what is our problem so they made us feel very stupid and we asked our previous room back, because that one was way better. They told us that pool view rooms don’t have couches in them, but later we saw that they did. But for sure we can say if you are thinking of booking and don’t care about the view then a superior mountain view room is better than the superior high floor room! In high floor pool view room you just have a hard bench and a queen bed instead of the king. They promised to make it all up to us ,but in the end they just ignored this situation and we were left in this “feeling stupid” situation. The other thing that happened with us a lot and we saw it also happening with others was that the keycard just stops working or doesn’t work from the beginning so you have to go to the reception a lot. Poolside bar and breakfast are they are still building,but what I saw they are probably going to be very nice. Sauna worked only one night and even then we didn’t have any lights inside and had to stay in a dark sauna what is not a problem , but still not a good sign..as the next day sauna was not working and in the end it went only until 40 degrees. Very disappointing. But the bed was truly amazing and absolutely new - definitely recommended! The gym was very good with a very good equipment, so definitely pack your running shoes. Maybe in the future it would be nice if there would be some water available in the gym. The swimming pool was very good, but sadly they didn’t have different towels for the pool (probably also something to add in the future!) Also the mirror in the room is in a very dark spot and you should definitely add some lights there. I think as a new and just opened place you should try to provide a better service, but I see if all the “mistakes” are fixed how it is going to be a very comfy place for a relaxing stay. Location wise I would say u will need to spent quite a bit on travelling especially to the beach, u need to go 1 whole big round instead of crossing which the map make it seems to be. It’s not a happening location and far from those places of interest and the road always jam up with cars. Breakfast is the same everyday, I would say average but the bar food is good. The swimming pool area is good for families with kids as the slides is a big attraction other than that nothing special. The worst part is the hot water system is down during my stay, either u wait for that pathetic 6 shower rooms which they fix a water heater inside the bathroom or u just go ahead with seriously cold water and the shower room is so dirty n smelly with rubbish everywhere n choking drainage. Room house keeping is good, the staff tidy very neatly n clean. My humble opinion is if u r going for a better hotel with lower budget, this is a place u can consider but end of the days is walking n walking n walking or consider renting a motorbike or simply call a grab. U might save on the hotel room but spending more on transportation. From kata to Patong, easily average $500 batt not to say even further area. Thank you.

Stayed in the hotel only as I am leaving very early tomorrow to Khao Lak. Its a good pitstop hotel probably not for long term. The location is not exactly on a prime location. Its in the middle of a road with nothing much happening around. You need to travel 10 minutes by car to get to anything worth mentioning. Other than that the price is very spot on. Less than $20 I paid for a triple room, couldnt really complain much. Room is clean but the age of the room is already showing. Bathroom for instance is mouldy. AC is very loud. But you get past it for the price you pay. Recommended for short stay, not for long term. There's parking with security, which was a plus.

Nice hotel tucked away from busy bustling part of Phuket. Shuttle service is provided to bring guests out to beach or boat avenue. There's a few nice cafes and restaurant around boat avenue areas. Staff are attentive and always helpful to provide guidance on where to go, what to do. Definitely worth coming back for another stay :) Special call-out to some of the hotel staff - Kig on her friendliness, Cee for his great recommendation for local cuisine and Tangkwa, Big, Num, Baitoey for showing great hospitality. They simply and always put customers in their thoughts and ensured we have a great stay! Thanks for making this a memorable trip for me.

What a place, one of the nicest and most comfortable places I ever been to. I would definitely recommend for someone who’s looking for a super clean, nice, safe, comfortable, easy to reach place. The staff was amazing, facilities are top-notch where you have everything you would need.

We stayed 3 nights and paid approx £62/night - pool access room. Check in was easy and our room was ready even though we were a few hours early. We had a pool access room so expected it to be located on the ground floor, however, it was actually on the 1st floor which required 2 flights of stairs to be climbed - no good if you are unable to do this. Access to the room from reception is down in a lift through an underground carpark and up 2 flights, its a bit of a trek!! The room was great though! Nice comfy bed and good shower. Outside deck had 2 loungers. You share the pool with 5 other rooms but we always had it to ourselves! The water was a good temperature, we enjoyed it a lot! The location of the hotel is 2 minutes' walk to bars and restaurants, 5 minutes to the main area with lots of nicer bars and eateries. The room was them clean and new towels and bedding each day, we really don't like this. We'd rather keep until we request a change. 4 bottles of complimentary water each day was excellent. Our only concerns with the room area is the lack of a net curtain/privacy glass on the windows. The view is lovely but you need to keep the curtains closed and the ledge at the staircase. The ledge sticks out a lot and hubby, nearly 6ft, banged his head a few times. We'd stay again and would recommend.

This property is near Phuket Airport and has a beautiful environment. I love the toiletries; they smell great and the facilities are fully equipped. I will stay here again next time I visit Phuket.

The bed was big and comfortable, the room for 6 people has the bathroom inside, which is good, but they need to fix a lot of things. The only 2 chairs they have in a shared room for 6 people are broken, 1 of the 6 lockers has a key, the other 5 are broken and the worst thing is that they only have 2 plugs on the desk but not on the beds, so You will not be able to charge your device overnight. And if that were not enough inconvenience, they need to improve the electrical system, because the operation is with the typical slot for the electronic key (like a card), so you must have your key in an unattended place throughout the night if you want to use the air-conditioning. I imagine that if someone takes your key from there during the night you will have to pay a fine, it doesn't make sense.
