This was my first solo trip and I was delighted with the accommodation. It was good value for money and had a balcony with stunning views of the river Arno. Located very close to the city centre just over the bridge across the road ( about 3 mins away - see photos) which you walk through to get to the station which is about 15 min walk from B&B. In the other direction you have the leaning tower of Pisa which is around 15 mins walk. If you are looking for a luxury modern hotel, this isn't for you. If you are looking for a nice simple accommodation which is extremely clean, quiet and a very comfortable bed and you are happy with self check-in, this is for you! I hope to come again with my children and highly recommend booking a room with a view of the river. This view is even more spectacular at night time. Joanna would often ask if I needed anything and she spend a lot of time there everyday keeping the place spotless, restocked (plenty of tea and coffee). Everything was well stock, I never had to ask for loo roll or anything. There's hair dryers etc in the bathroom, everything you need! Luca the landlord also asked if I needed anything. Friendly and calm atmosphere. There's a little shop 2nd left over the bridge if you wish to buy milk, croissants, snacks, alcohol etc. There's also plenty of places to eat close by. Remember Italians eat later so if you want a nice restaurant, they don't open til around 8pm. If you want a burger, kebab or quick bite, there's plenty of places around. I also took a train to Florence for the day which is around 1 hour away for about 9 euros.
