My husband and I spent 4 nights here in one of the Preferred suites. It was worth paying a little extra for the better room and “Preferred” status. It meant we could go to a separate lounge in the lobby, faster checkin and eat at the a la carte restaurant on the rooftop (the Observatory with a great view), as well as use the pool and lounge chairs.
The food was amazing at the Market Cafe buffet and all the speciality restaurants we tried (Ember, Bisou, Seaside Grill and the Mexican).
At the spa, my husband had a wonderful 80-minute massage and we both loved the aqua therapy that was included. It was much better than expected and I felt incredible afterwards so don’t miss out on it!
The entertainment throughout the resort was truly above and beyond any all-inclusive resort we’ve been to, including another Secrets resort. In every restaurant and by the pool, there were seriously talented singers or musicians. The shows at night were spectacular, especially the Elements show which was different from anything we’d seen.
During the day, there’s aqua aerobics and volleyball in the pool which were fun. The fitness room was very good and I was able to use the studio to do my own online workouts before the yoga classes started.
On the beach poolside, there was drinks service and some one to help you find lounge chairs, set up your towels and umbrella etc. There are so many pools to choose from, and lots of palapas on the beach that you can find a spot.
