I stayed there for five nights in January 2020, and have only good things to say about the hotel. Nice and clean room, good food in the restaurant, friendly and helpful staff (with good advices about where to go - and not to go), great location (400 meters from Copacabana beach and across the street from Cardeal Arcoverde metro station) and in a pretty busy and safe part of the city, with many shops and restaurants. Not too expensive rooms. They can also offer transport to the international airport for 25 real. That's much cheaper than taxi!

The staff is very helpful. The breakfast was good, the food was good but the kitchen took too long to prepare the dishes. Maintenance leaves something to be desired.

Its well located. Perhaps the one of the best points in this review. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good. Now... the rooms and some common areas really need some attention from the manager. Lack of a mounted safe in the room and an ”abandoned” swimming pool and gym areas are the not so good parts of this review.

My wife and I stayed in the hotel for 10 days for our honeymoon after receiving a recommendation from a friend. When we first arrived we were disappointed because the room had not been cleaned adequately (dirty carpet, stains and dead bugs in the bathroom) and despite informing the hotel we were coming for our honeymoon we didn’t receive any special welcome, for example a note or message from the hotel or chocolate gift as we saw others receive on Instagram. We complained to the reception about the cleanliness and the next morning the room was cleaned to our expectations, we were happy with how the complaint was handled. The hotel room we were given was an ocean view on the 10th floor. The view was amazing and we loved falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean. However we feel that for the price and star rating of the hotel, the rooms need to be refurbished, the room feels dated and the bathroom finishings are not befitting of the hotel we expected from the pictures; messy paintwork and grouting, broken wooden furniture, poor quality shower and at one point there was no hot water so our first night was cold showers. We have stayed in lower and similarly priced and rated hotels and the quality of the room and bathrooms were better than this hotel. We used the tennis courts and gym during our stay which was a nice option. We both had the tropical Spa experience which was a wonderful and relaxing experience and the Spa staff were great. We chose the all inclusive option at the hotel and we were not disappointed with the selections available and the high quality of food on offer from the restaurants. The service from the staff at the restaurants was wonderful. The location of the hotel is excellent, after exploring the area we determined it has the best location of all the hotels in Ipanema / Leblon / Copacabana, because of the direct beach access to a “private” beach. Halfway through the stay we received a note in our room to say there was a problem with the pre payment and amount of consumption. We were very surprised because we had the all inclusive option and had not taken anything not included. We called the reception to inquire about the problem and the person was not able to explain what was the problem. (My wife is Brazilian so language was not the problem). We had to go down to the reception to speak with someone else, where we were told that the pre payment taken by the hotel was not enough to cover the cost of our stay (10 days) and so an additional payment was needed. The hotel knew we were staying for 10 days and should have known the total cost of our stay (excluding extras not included Ina lol inclusive), and taken the payment up front, rather than send us an ambiguously and informally written letter, halfway through the stay which the staff could not explain on the Phone. The hotel is well suited for work trips. I usually stay there weekly. The quality of bed and bath linen varies greatly from one stay to the next. During this stay, the bath towels were quite old and stained.

Best choice! Hotel with great value for money. Attentive and friendly staff, good location, very close to the main tourist attractions, hearty breakfast and everything fresh. There are some homeless people nearby, but I didn't feel unsafe as there are plenty of police officers. We will definitely choose the hotel on our next visit to the river to enjoy an excellent experience again.

The hotel follows the standard of comfort and excellence that is expected from an ibis. I closed the pool (because I was looking for a hotel in the center with a pool) when I arrived I was informed that the pool was of Novotel for a fee of 63 reals, which should be informed as well as the purchase of breakfast and parking. I looked again on the site to see where it was written and I didn't find it, I was very disappointed because I could have closed another hotel with a similar value. The team's care was wonderful, taking this disappointment we had a great stay.

It was a quick but very pleasant stay, the staff were always helpful, the location was easily accessible to all areas of the city. Cleaning 10, structure 10, food 10, And the view from the rooftop with the pool is beautiful.

It was a reservation over the hour, I called asking if I had reservation the girl was super careful with me, they received me very well it was perfect, my daughter loved everything, every detail. The only thing she wanted to go to the pool more she was in work, we promised her that we would come back and we're sure we're going.
